  1. Also I've noticed that if I use gizmo (arrows/2 key) to move torpedoes in mirror mode, the one that I am not moving is placed backwards. Not idea if it is BDA problem or game.
  2. I have sonar and it is working manually I can fire torpedo and it can hit target, but AI doesn't want to change weapon to torpedo. It is acting like there were no torpedoes in my ship.
  3. We wouldn't need forums for that ;-) I thought about something similar. For general statistics I would add astronaut statistics, eg their level. A scoreboard on a central server would open up opportunities for a new type of contract, e.g., lift a 10 ton payload into X orbit at the lowest possible cost. The career profile would have to be saved on the server so that people could not cheat. The scoreboard could be in the game and anyone playing career mode could view the results of other players eg during a flight on a screen in the pilot's cabin. In addition, a regular panel after completing the mission with the results of other players and a comparison of how we went. This should fuel the desire to compete with each other. We could also have contracts / missions and the prize for the winner would be to put his space station (on rails) on some orbit, this station would be indestructible and available to everyone.
  4. I like this idea. Maybe space stations could be treated as one "brick" with one center of mass? Or turn off the physics completely, as if the station was during warp, then you could dock to it, but it would move on rails.
  5. This is just an opinion and it is very subjective. There is no quality comparison. The game also lacks a mechanism that would allow the balloon to reach the altitude limit I wrote about. Your assumptions about the concept and required questions are wrong. It's developers who decide on such things and how best to show them in the game. [snipped] I am referring to the subject, and the fact that someone subjectively believes that this is not a useful addition, does means he needs to speak here. He can go to complain somewhere else. Claiming that the game does not need it does not help to improve this idea at all. If you do not like it, you do not have to use the balloons in the game. [snipped]
  6. They wanted this to be hard for rockets, but in reality Venus/Eve is perfect place for balloons.
  7. [snipped] Why do you want anyone in here to tell Devs how this idea should be coded? It is their job to find best way, not ours. Balloons are simple, if you deploy one it should go up, both in physics bubble and while you are in time warp mode. Height limit for balloon should be pressure inside vs pressure outside, this can be calculated while you are in physics mode, so even if you hit time warp balloon will "autopilot" (like rocket with huge speed, it goes up even if you abandon mission) to that height and stay there until you change pressure (pump more helium or drop gas from balloon). If we would have small balloons that would be bouncy and hard to break we could use them as CST-100 does or we could even use them for submarines to change buoyancy.
  8. Guys it is 1.5km underground, it is super deep even for Earth :-)
  9. If you like mods, you should admire them in the section devoted to mods, and here you should not comment on and criticize the ideas of people who want to improve the base game.
  10. I meant that it would be a good game that would increase the player's skills. So what is the problem? Sometimes the wind would slightly change the course of the vehicle, sometimes a little more. The game would be more interesting because some things would be unpredictable. Just like in Diablo (or any other game) there are random dungeons and items so that the player can do several approaches with different characters and not get bored. It is like in KSP we have several characters (vehicles) and visit the planet (we visit the dungeons), but at the moment the planets are dead. Nothing changes, does not move, there are no random events that would increase the attractiveness of the game. How many characters in Diablo would you check if each time the dungeons in the game were identical and would drop the exact same items each time? This is how in KSP works, after visiting each planet the game becomes boring, because it was all there. The fact that you use a slightly different vehicle does not change much. If time is a resource, the weather has a simple justification. If you are in a hurry, try to land in more difficult conditions, if you have a lot of time, wait for the moment when landing will be easier. Weather effects should always be present in the game, the player would be able to choose the level of difficulty (their strength) with the help of a 50-150% slider. I want the planets to have some life in them, I'm not talking about animals here, because it's a loss of CPU and memory, but weather phenomena could be explored, which in this game has a justification for exploration. After all, in a real space program, it's not about how much fuel we'll burn just about what we'll investigate and what we'll find out about distant places. You could create some kind of passive mission, for example, drop a buoy in the area of X and take it away from the Y area in a week. In time, as you gather a lot of data from the planet, you can view the planet with its constant sea and air currents. But to do this you would need a lot of buoys, weather stations on land and balloons exploring the atmosphere, weather satellites would also be useful. It would basically add another layer to the game and give justification for new missions that combine with each other in a logical whole.
  11. But it is mod that doesn't work? Mods require updates after every game update, so that is bad option.
  12. Oh I want this http://www.zero2infinity.space/bloostar/
  13. @weissel Maybe for you what you mentioned as difficult is not fun, but for me it would all be interesting. People do not play so that each time they repeat the same activities and receive exactly the same results (unless someone likes games on facebook), look at such titles as Diablo, a game in which finding a valuable item is random can provide good fun? It might influence planes (crosswind landing) - It would be a good game that would guarantee new skills. It might influence hitting the exact spot --- when the parachutes are deployed and you are moved - That is realism, which requires the player to think about how to accomplish a given mission, for example by creating a rover Updrafts might allow gliders to be more viable - fun and many new possibilities Might prevent a launch/deorbit - How? The fact that you will not land at exactly the point where you would like to not interrupt the mission. It's just like in reality, the capsule lands on the sea, but there is no exact location just an area. Rocket launch is also not a problem, unless you use rockets that can fall apart for any reason. Might move clouds and balloons - Balloons would be a very interesting addition. A new type of mission, weather balloons, communication, new research, a new way of placing small satellites in orbit (www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXuU275TObg). Sea ccurrents - New possibilities, new missions, for example, throw out the buoys at the point and follow the currents of the sea, it would be useful to anchor for ships.
  14. Would it be very difficult to add to the KSP the ability to print solid 3D structures on the surface of the planet? I saw ideas from the above link and in my opinion, such a thing would give a lot of fun and many mini games with the participation of kerbals. We could have defined some basic models (as we have parts) eg flat airport, dome and cylinder with door on the bottom, piramide, etc. For each model should be a scale selection, the color of the walls would depend on the biome on which it is built. I imagine how players would build cities on every planet.
  15. Why not start with the basic igloo under which the tunnels will be drilled?
  16. There is reason, landing without wind makes it easier? I would suggest sea currents and air breezes that are not random. Sea currents can be constant, if the ship will affect such a current, with the engines turned off it will be able to circumnavigate a large part of the planet (even in warp mode). As for the wind, I do not know, but also some constant breeze would come in handy, we could build gliders and take them from the top of the mountains.
  17. Crew has no protection during landing? It is really shame, I liked this idea :-(
  18. So space will be treated the same as land and sea on Earth. You occupy a orbit and consider it as part of your state, and everyone who uses it pays the customs tax. Profitable enough to accelerate the development of technologies that are to help control the movement in orbit? Hahaha I suggest a law that allows you to fight only on uninhabited areas in the seas and deserts, would that work? :-)
  19. This approach would ensure budget revenues and all energy and resources put in space force would be profitable? The fact that the US allows private companies to the space sector also suggests entering a tax in this sector is only a matter of time. It seems to me that tax would also be covered by other countries using space, and if someone would refuse, his satellites would be "damaged".
