Have a look at this wing it's small but might give some help and hope this is the right link https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/72893034/AeroProbe.zip it was a probe made by JDP which started the mod RT, I have made it to work in .25 but some of it don't work like he had it as it's 1 wind and was to mirror to the rightside and look right and he as said all his work was open.

You might be hitting the memory limit on 32 bit and install Ubuntu you should just have to download load it and install in new partition which and Ubuntu will make a new boot loader and partition. EDIT- But, I have a hard go bad and my windows 7 was in a partition and didn't get disk so with new hard drive, I installed Ubuntu and then later got windows 8 because can't find 7 which hate 8 so that was like a waste , I dual boot Ubuntu and windows 8 don't goto windows 8 much but there are some games that don't run on Linux or in wine.

Think the same thing stock needs a better way of communication and AntennaRange would be best for the stock game and could be my bad on reading your CFG didn't look like you would have to have a communication to control your craft. -

If that how you like to play, All is good and you asked what do, I mean best can tell by looking at you cfg you can control craft with out connection or in short all so you don't have to have line of sight so the only thing that RT is doing for you is showing you line when in map view you have no down side of the mod at all you really aren't using the mod just the lines on map but if that for you hey , I happy for you , You can play how ever you want and as, I posted there is a mod AntennaRange http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/56440-0-25-AntennaRange-1-5-Enforce-and-Encourage-Antenna-Diversity Maybe more to your liking but it don't have the pretty lines in map view but it does have a Icon on toolbar that changes colors on range. -

LOL thats alittle crazy think you could have made it alot shorter if thats what you wanted to do and that makes them way over powered and take away from having the mod in the first place is my 2 cents your just using the mod for the lines ? -

KSP as some problems with TGA right now or your running ActiveTextureManagement which think is having some problems now.

Yes you can take out the RT added Antenna But you still need the CFG for the stock 1's and the RT setting CFG and the plugin and if you want to go back to stock delete the RT folder if you use the RT part then you have to make a CFG so they act like stock which is no big deal and if RT is to much for you try http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/56440-0-25-AntennaRange-1-4-2-Enforce-and-Encourage-Antenna-Diversity not as hard as RT. EDIT- And you do know you need ModuleManager.*.*.* install for it to work -
And for some who think that FASA Clamps make the launch pad explode Thats just over 2200 tons and pads is all good have seen landing leg some times they clip the pad FASA craft files before you goto pad raise them alittle and all good.
