  1. So Texture Replacer is still working in-game even after you deleted it from GameData? That's weird.
  2. @Sky Kerman It should be in Kerbal Space Program/GameData if you've installed it correctly.
  3. IRL Starship isn't an SSTO, it's 2 stage to orbit. I'd guess just a craft that looks and functions vaguely like the real vehicle would count as a Starship replica.
  4. I landed a mobile mining vehicle on the Mun. This is the first segment of my Mun base - up next are some large propellant storage modules.
  5. Orbital launch pad GSE tank making its way to the pad:
  6. The powerhead appears to be largely the same but because Raptor uses a regeneratively cooled nozzle, they can't just tape an extension to the normal sea-level nozzle - the piping inside the nozzle has to be fully plumbed in to allow the excess propellant to flow throughout for cooling.
  7. I love how transparent Elon is about the Starship program as a whole. Edit: New NSF Starship article as well, with a nice shot of Vacuum Raptor SN2 as well as a regular sea level Raptor on the McGregor test stands:
  8. Have you tried turning 'patched conics draw mode' up in the settings? It should allow you to see your trajectory further out.
  9. I can't wait to try and build Starship and crash repeatedly on them
  10. Yay, the game is already looking amazing!
  11. But that's just a theory, a game Starship theory... In all seriousness, that sounds plausible. I wonder what happened to that engine to have it explode like that.
  12. Just left-clicking over some empty space while holding the part should do it.
  13. Looks like SN15 has less tiles than even SN10 did, but maybe it'll get more in the high bay.
  14. Most IRL RCS thrusters use a fuel and an oxidiser which combust (usually simply by reacting with each other) to produce thrust, much like a regular rocket engine. I'd assume KSP's RCS thrusters are based on those, despite using monopropellant. I don't know if RCS thruster plumes actually look like that, but it kinda makes sense. The cold-gas thrusters on the Falcon 9 are the exception rather than the rule.
  15. I'd like to see Kerbal professions expanded a little in general, actually. There could be multiple classes of engineers (eg mechanical engineers, structural engineers, electrical engineers) and scientists (eg geologists, botanists, medics), and each specialisation could have some kind of unique ability. Maybe this would be more suited to KSP2, though.
  16. I'm a Windows user. There are quite a few things that annoy me about it, but Linux just seems like it wouldn't be worth the effort to set up and learn, and I just generally dislike Apple. Besides, Windows has the largest selection of games and other programs.
