Rockets Show and Tell!
RealKerbal3x replied to OrionSpaceCenter's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
This is the Peregrine 10, a mostly reusable superheavy (100t+ to orbit) launch vehicle: I used the Kerbal Reusability Expansion mod for the landing legs and grid fins, but other than that it's all stock. -

Yeah, 1554 UTC is impossible at the moment. -

He followed up with another tweet saying that the flight was on March 3rd, aka today. Elon's sleep schedule is weird so sometimes he thinks today is tomorrow -

LOL, they've obviously been doing some design work in KSP

I can't really say an exact number. I might spend an hour or two actually actively browsing and interacting with the forum, but I usually have it open in the background while doing other things. Also: Why is the poll public? No reason to single out forum junkies like me

Congratulations to everyone -
Either that or this is just a really early render and they haven't figured out how the aerosurfaces will look yet.

I think this thread really deserves to be renamed to 'Rocket Lab Discussion Thread' or something similar now that we know they're working on more than just Electron.

From https://www.rocketlabusa.com/rockets/neutron/ This is getting me really excited

And there are already at least 52 Raptors. -
KSP can be a pretty satisfying game. So I'll start: When you leave your 300 part station's physics range and the framerate smooths out.

Your profile picture looks like it was made in MS Paint! It used to be okay.

I don't see any gas generator exhaust pipes on the Skipper but the Twin Boar definitely has them. (I think the Swivel/Reliant have them as well).
-
Popping up here again. The plumes are looking lovely! One bit of feedback: could you maybe add plumes for the Mainsail's gas generator exhausts? I know the real engine is hydrolox so it wouldn't look quite like this, but the stock and RealPlume plumes have them, so it would probably make sense to add them.

Fun fact: @Moach is actually one of the original creators of KSP (I believe he's @HarvesteR's brother).- 28 replies

There have been fan renders but I think Musk pretty much responded 'we have no plans to do that'. They're developing orbital refuelling, if they can pull that off they have no need for a 'Starship Heavy'.

(SpaceX seem to have built a mockup of Lunar Starship's elevator as well as a full low-fidelity mockup. Presumably that's the white NASA Starship nosecone they painted a while back.)
