  1. They were there on SN8, 9 and 10, but I haven't seen them wrapped in thermal blankets before.
  2. I believe they're COPVs (composite overwrapped pressure vessels) for storing nitrogen. They look like they're covered in silver thermal blankets as they're usually black.
  3. If this is the issue then they've run into an interesting problem. I'm not sure how they'd set up a debris shield given that the three SL Raptors are so close together and gimbal at such a high angle during the flip maneuver and landing burn.
  4. I guess we won't see any testing action with BN1.
  5. Elon tweetstorm: Looks like odd-numbered Starships are cursed. Hopefully nothing bad happens to SN15.
  6. That's one of the oddest reasons for a scrub I've ever seen. I can just imagine the conversation. Engineer: We're scrubbed for today. Elon: Why? We're tracking no issues on SN11 and the weather is looking good for the planned liftoff time. Engineer: Well, the FAA inspector's car broke down, so we can't launch.
  7. I'm not sure if it actually counts as a major feature, but I've never used docking mode. The fact that you use the same keys for rotation and translation and have to switch modes just seems cumbersome and illogical when you can just rotate with WASD and translate with IJKLHN.
  8. Both mods undoubtedly have their merits (I've briefly experimented with SOCK, never tried Space Shuttle System), but my favourite shuttle mod is Cormorant Aeronology thanks to its modularity and stockalike style. It hasn't been updated in a while but still holds up in newer versions of KSP.
  9. I've had a nagging suspicion all day that SF and flight on the same day wasn't meant to be. At least there's backup opportunities.
  10. SpaceX website updated for SN11 flight: https://www.spacex.com/vehicles/starship/
  11. That might have been the original plan but as far as I can tell SN10 did its last static fire on 25 Feb and flew on 3 March.
  12. They swapped out an engine yesterday, so static fire and flight in one day?
  13. For making a part you don't really need any programming skills (even when making config files, you can just copy and paste an existing part's file and tweak the values where necessary). I would recommend this guide:
  14. It was cancelled an hour or so after the static fire, hopefully it does mean that everything went well
  15. The road closure for tomorrow was cancelled (likely a sign of a norminal static fire), so now it's NET Wednesday with Thursday as a backup date.
  16. Usually they're only a couple of seconds long, so yes.
  17. Road closures are scheduled for tomorrow so we could see a static fire then.
  18. I'm pretty sure the forum rules would forbid that.
  19. Have you tried updating to 1.11.2? I believe that bug has been fixed.
