  1. This (planet pack)will make a fine addition to my collection. [GeneralGrievous-meme.png here].
  2. Mods god you covered already. And I will to in some more time And the stock system would need much more love and care, than the need of creating an adition system
  3. Looks good so far. The Manourver Mode is pretty well done. I like it. Also why is an update announcement posted in Daily kerbal and then deleted?
  4. I just hope 1.7 isn't plagued by one of those major game breaking bugs like the past few versions had in 1.X.0
  5. I know you have many other already released mods that need/get a revamp to restock quality, But I hope that FFT will also one day, look as awesome as restock does.
  6. SXT already got a compatibility update long ago. But it still only uses stock assets
  7. The Phoenix shall rise from the ashes in new Glory. I wisch you good luck for this to turn out great.
  8. Taking the info of the post in announcements as basis. KSpedia is only gone (for now) on Console. And since there isn't really any mod support on console, the mention of Kspedia pages from mods isn't that relevant, for now.(and how many have actually been using it anyway. Judging by all what is already answered in the Book, but still asked frequently, not many have read it).
  9. There's 2 variants. An ablative version, intentionally damaging the plate. And an oil coated version. A solution discovered after an oily fingerprint near a nuclear test had shown no ablation (unlike the metal surrounding the fingerprint) as seen in that image The Pusher Plate consists of 2 parts. A 1st stage cushion and a 2nd stage piston system. Supposed to bring down the acceleration on to plesant levels of Gs. And unless done intentional, a nuclear bomb is really hard to accidentally go off.
  10. If I remember right, The "propellent" itself would be ejected dead center through the pusher plate. So I doubt there would be that much precision inaccuracy. In itself, the ship is only riding the explosion, capturing all of the plasma wave would be rather hard and also rather unnecessary (since the revived deltaV is already A lot). Also I don't really get how carrying multiple tons of nuclear material is related to the engineering feasibility of Project Orion.
  11. Far Future Technologies, not Near future. Also, FFT may be what you are looking for. It's similar to KSPI in terms of included engines, but with the simplicity (and actual model quality) of NF Propulsion.
  12. The way your comment was worded, Implied to me, that making the planets themself, requires you to write complicated code. Not that you need complicated code to write the plugin that allows planets. I see it in the way Kopernicus/ContractConfigurator/EVE/Modulemanager, those installed alone, don't do much if anything at all, as do Planet/Contract/cloud/patch mods alone. But the plugins are already existent and functional. So you wouldn't need to code anything new to make something So I think it is a bit redundant to add "coding the planet plugin" to the list of things required for modifying a planet
  13. Quite the opposite, Once you got Kopernicus Installed, modifying planets only requires a few small MM patches and maybe a new texture file. (I personally would say it's Easier to make planets than parts, as you don't need Modeling software for Planets or actual programming knowledge for plugins). But that as you said, isn't the point of Restock. Fancy Part Reskins, that is what the Restock team have have made (and did very good).
  14. That's for GTA-V/GTA-Online though. Where the same tools used for modding can also be used to cheat/hack in the online mode(aka circumvent the "nice" Micro transactions). While the Way they handle it is pretty much suboptimal, it is (sort of) justified (but still a a very wrong way to handle it). And it also doesn't apply to KSP in any way "I make free game addons as a hobby" vs "I illegally hack consoles, which allows me and others to use pirated games or other stuff that breaks the agreement with the manufacturer". Also, If you can explain that you are a "game modder" and use Tools that are allowed by the game/console manufacturer (aka official modsupport), then I don't see any legal reasons for an arrest Also There is no "message" to deliver. Side note: People have been calling it mods/modding for the last few decades. That Ain't gonna end any time soon.
  15. Dude, Did you just ignore that on purpose. Expect that almost every single of my comments mentions mods(as in user created addons)in one way or another Except this entire thread you had been steering the topic towards the act of modding the device, even though it was always about user created content. In legal trouble for unauthorized moddifications to the device itself. All the cases you have set forth are unauthorized modifications to the console (japans case is messing with the save file and about hacking the console itself, both in an unauthorized way). Problem here, the very first comment of this thread mentions official mod(as in user addon) support. Means something that is allowed by the Device manufacturer. Means there isn't anything you can be put in trouble for (Note that user-content is still a synonym for mods) So something you theoretically can't be put on trial for. And this bit from right at the beginning. You practically acknowledge that they are called mods while simultaneously mention something competently different with no relevance, other than vaguely the name. And I still want you to acknowledge this comment which you conveniently Ignored Official mod support on console is only done in 4 or 5 games IIRC, and only for less than 2 years or so. So don't act all superior because such a generic search with no context at all, yields more results for Device modification than user content. Google doesn't really know your situational context(it's a data-kraken but it doesn't read minds yet), so there, you'll have to add the prefix of "game". And your medicine analogy still does't work. I work on "cars" is he A tuner or a car mechanic. This one works
  16. No need to be so condecending because I don't conform to hiw you want to define words. And learning what? That context matters? Or other stuff I already knew. No I'm not going to because, consider the context/situation. This discussion started with and about mods(as in user addons )for console games, which presets game-addons as context. So unless you purposely misinterpret it(which it seems like with you constantly making this about hard/firmware Modding), it should stay in the context that it was about game-mods. Both titles aren't synonyms for each other though. Without a situation or context to go of, the usage of medicine implies the person to be a pharmacist/lawfully authorised seller. Otherwise it depends on situation and or context. And what about all the other stuff I said in the other comment. That isn't worth an answer?
  17. Lemme roll this up from the other end. If Console had a more widespread official support for user-created add-ons for console games in the same way which many PC games have official support for user created add-ons (like you can just drag and drop tweakscale into gamedata or how many games use the steamworkshop). How would it be wrong to just call those user created-add-ons, mods. On PC, mods is a synonym for usercreated addons and modding a synonym for their creation. So, I don't see why the same thing can't be called the same for console games? (Also the Usercreated addon browser for the Xbox version of Cities skylines is Called "Modbrowser" and the console version of skyrim/Fallout4 also calls them mods/modding )
  18. Your search has 1 problem though. "Console modding" correctly means and mostly yields results related to moddification of the device. However, If you search for "console game modding". You'll also find many more results for user created content (as in mods). There aren't many games that allow User created content(aka mods) on their console version, so , without Including "games" or a games name, you'll not find much result for user created content. And why Include a search for homebrew(a term only accociated with tampering with console hardware/firmware). I fail to see how that is relevant,
  19. Neither do you need to expect that I or anyone else has to agree with that modding on console has to be only Associated with device-modifications.
  20. Again, the meaning of things isn't fixed. On PC, for games, "mods/modding" is often associated with user-created add-ons. If Consoles start to allow usercreated add-ons too, then there ain't anyone stopping people from calling those addons also "mods" and the practice of making/installing them "modding". Just because console modding right now means "illegally tampering with the device", doesn't meant that meaning can't change(like how laws and ToS can change to). Also you are not a console modder, you are a modder for the game you are making mods for. And it's only that the platform which the game is on, is a console
  21. Important here is the context. He was modding the hardware/firmware. He modified the device. Your comment makes you sound like saying that tampering with the hardware/firmware is the same as installing Kerbal Engineer .
  22. Now you're just nitpicking on the word modding itself. I am, always was and will be talking about mods(as in user-made-addons) for console games. The article you linked? Is about modding the console itself , as in tampering with the hardware and firmware of the device you are running on. The article mentiones a case where someone modified the device itself. Which is a thing you aren't allowed to because it enables to play pirated games. The article itself does not talk about user created addons for games.
