  1. It has to do with what the camera displays when looking at the map view. It doesn't have anything to do with multiplayer, at all.
  2. Throwing out buzz words/phrases doesn't mean anything or do anything to further your argument. What about their culture? What about their availability? What about their access to new blood? How do any of those things have absolutely anything to do with your concerns that you keep re-stating ad-nauseam? You are making assumptions about your assumptions, and then using buzz words to define why those assumptions are valid. It frankly feels like I am Alice going down the rabbit hole attempting to piece together what you seem to think makes sense.
  3. History of what exactly? I assume you aren't referring to Cyberpunk because on one hand you complain about KSP 2 being in "eternal development" but at the same time complain about Cyberpunk being rushed out the door and devaluing CDPR. I mean, which is it exactly that you want here?
  4. The simple fact that the game (KSP 2) is still being worked on proves you wrong. Unless you think Take Two is planning to commit seppuku with their company using the KSP franchise as the sword? EDIT: As a side note someone ought to update the first post with the correct links/information.
  5. Clearly not KSP 1, that would simply be running into the sunken cost fallacy and putting more money into a sinking ship, right?
  6. A few years? More like a few decades.
  7. Is it possible to combine methods? IE use UV for most of the sphere but change to cubic or icosphere for the poles? I assume it is possible but I imagine the complexity of making the textures becomes much higher as a result.
  8. Have you considered the profit they are making from the consulting agreement to work on KSP 2 is significantly more profitable than the dwindling sales on the KSP (or whatever type of agreement they have with Private Division to work on the first game)?
  9. They "should" be working on KSP 1? Well you better call up their manager then and let them know they are slacking off and working on a completely different game. That does sound like something they need to be informed about.
  10. Massive improvement over KSP 1 goes without saying I think. RIP to all those future Kerbals who will land on the side of a cliff though lol.
  11. Oh you have access to their internal bug tracker? I would love to see it personally.
  12. Believe it or not, your pet issue/bug is clearly not a priority. Shocking, I am sure.
  13. A significant amount of the "bugs" in there boil down to this: https://xkcd.com/1172/ There are also lots are duplicates, lots that aren't actually bugs but feedback misrepresented as bugs, lots are fixed but the tickets simply never got closed or updated, some are because people are running mods, others are because people are running mods and don't know what they are doing, etc. Go through and actually try to replicate a bunch of the "bugs" in there yourself and you will be hard pressed to do so. Now ask yourself, if you are the developer how do you fix these reported "bugs" when it isn't even possible to replicate them?
  14. I am not so sure I want procedural as much as adjustable. The main issue I have with procedural is that you get into tweaking hell. “Oh just need to make this tank 2% bigger, this engine 6% smaller”, etc. While I can see the benefits for advanced builders it has a couple major downsides. Those being 1) makes life a lot more difficult for newbies who don’t understand what they are doing yet. 2) makes comparing your rocket builds with other players pretty impractical.
  15. If those asteroids had gravity you wouldn't be able to tell anyway it would be so weak.
  16. I absolutely love this post. Thank you for all the technical details, as well as the awesome graphs to visualize the problem and the solution. Stuff like this is why I think I am going to love KSP 2. The attention to detail is very evident.
  17. I'll give my opinion when/where I want to, thank you very much.
  18. That is the problem though, as far as I can tell the only results you would be happy with is "nothing but bug fixes and/or bug free releases until I am satisfied". Those aren't the results SQUAD is aiming to meet, quite obviously.
  19. Intercept Games. Not Star Theory.
