  1. What does the "Persist Kerbal Inventory Loadout" setting do when starting a new game? I assume it has something to do with this line: Inventory system is now persisted as a list of protoparts instead of a comma-separated string of names. The old system is still there for compatibility, but the new one is preferred. Based on the wording I assume for a new game I want to have that checked by default to use the new system. As an FYI it is unchecked by default. EDIT: See answer by Rafa below.
  2. For Eve landers, even something as simple as science experiments stuck to the outside introduce a lot of drag. I have one rocket that becomes almost uncontrollable because I added a couple small science things to the top outside of a bay. Make sure you literally don't have anything sticking out from the rocket that doesn't need to be.
  3. And that is when it is docked. It has an even lower clock when undocked.
  4. I gotta say it is really nice to see these updates and insights. I really haven’t seen this level of non-indie dev involvement with the community since Morrowind.
  5. I am 99.99999% sure that is a no. KSP2 is a completely different game build from the ground up with different progression features, parts, etc. Simply not worth it.
  6. That makes no logical sense. Where did the original KSP come from then? Down from the gods or something?
  7. Exactly. The previous gen of consoles are REALLY bad for a game like this. If it was optimized to run on them, they would have to cut things or not do the things they want to. Now that it is getting pushed a year they can ignore those consoles and make the game they actually want to.
  8. Great news, as long as you ditch the old consoles as well and can make the game based on the new hardware only.
  9. That’s the part I am curious about. It certainly doesn’t sound plausible as I think the number of chemical bonds possible is going to be extremely small relative to the other elements weight and without the chemical bonds it’s obviously not going to be stable by just adding more unbonded hydrogen to the mix.
  10. That‘s disingenuous. If launching nuclear rockets doesn’t become a thing due to public concerns then it is indeed still viable despite not being the most efficient option.
  11. Has there been any models or studies done on predicting meta stability with various hydrogen alloys?
  12. Ah. I was on mobile at the time, and I guess "hover" is apparently impossible to emulate on a mobile device, lol.
  13. I’m kinda diggin’ this whole Microsoft Word layout at the moment.
  14. Plus using a bigger font is actually bad for those people who are already using existing accessibility features to read the forum because then the text in those particular posts is absolutely massive.
  15. Anyone have any clue what those small circular blue icons are on the bottom right of some users avatars? Stardust for example has a half filled in shield icon. Other users I have seen a “stop” hand. Others have none at all.
  16. Needing resources to unlock tech instead of just science confirmed.
