1.9.1 groundstations blindspot?
MechBFP replied to 2epicpanda's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
It’s because you have the atmospheric occlusion set to higher than the default. If it is set to “1” that means the signal doesn’t “bounce” in the atmosphere and reach your ship if you don’t have a line of sight to the ground station. By default this setting is set lower enough that there isn’t any blind spots. -
Correct.

I think you guys might be talking with a computer bot...
-
Unlikely, I imagine they can all work from home if needed.
-
Answered no on all 3 because the release version has no relevance on the question.
-
The KSP mod Realism Overhaul adds things like unthrottable engines, limited ignitions, requirement for ullage engines, etc. While that is cool, I think it definitely either belongs in a mod or a “realistic” difficulty mode as it adds a lot of complexity that would completely turn off new players.
-
There is a mod for that.
-
I get that is supposed to be sarcasm but.... *gestures broadly to KSP*.
-
Don’t bother. It is apparently broken. Just download the entire updated version.

He meant his position/argument detailed in the OP, not the literal argument between people.

Hence, set your altitude higher when using the set position cheat.

Returning, New, and Speculated Planets of KSP 2
MechBFP replied to a topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
Nah man, they are going old school, back to 1999 3D textures. -
A certain quote from Dagoth Ur seems super appropriate in regards to this.
-
Probably ya if it increases overall market share.

Their publisher.

In the end it’s up to the devs to decide, so I really could care less what they decide. I just take comfort in the fact that they definitely aren’t’t taking this thread seriously.
-
Then continue to play KSP 1. Perhaps KSP 2 is just not for you then. *shrug*
-
The shortest possible trajectory directly to another planet. Because of the way gravity works, it isn't actually just a straight line from A to B.
-
Then go play another game. Seriously. There are plenty of simpler and more casual games you can play if you don’t have the time to invest into something more complicated.
-
It also takes 4 to 5 times longer to get to orbit. I assume you can understand the problem with that when playing KSP?

The horse has now been atomized.

The horse has turned into a fine mist.
