  1. When you are in interstellar space you are still in an orbit, just around the galactic center. I imagine the dV requirements to escape that is rather excessive lol. Edit: Milky Way escape dV is ~550,000 dV for example.
  2. Feel free to waste your money. I’m sure some ambulance chaser somewhere would be more than happy to assist lol.
  3. @dprostock I don’t think you understand how non-trivial software development works. Bug free non-trivial software is impossible. Your expectations are the equivalent of manufacturing a gear that is exactly 540.000000000mm in diameter and getting mad at the company when it is 540.01mm instead, despite the fact they gave no guarantee on their manufacturing specifications.
  4. I am not making an argument, just stating a fact as I am not sure if dprostock understands the current situation or not.
  5. Because they have mentioned numerous KSP1 devs working on KSP2, like RoverDude. I never said it was?
  6. I do mean the developers. As much attention as it would be getting otherwise from the KSP 1 developers, I suppose is an even better way to phrase it.
  7. As much attention as it would be getting otherwise, I suppose is a better way to phrase it. Although if KSP 2 didn't exist, it is entirely possible KSP 1 wouldn't be getting ANY attention anymore, so... *shrug*.
  8. The KSP 2 devs are a completely different team of developers, but they are also using a few KSP devs as consultants on KSP 2. It's really no surprise KSP 1 isn't getting much attention at this point.
  9. With the ability to build in orbit any location within the Kerbol system will be ridiculously easier to conquer since you save 3500 dV and that is fine by me because it allows more players to experience more content.
  10. Nothing to be sorry for, because it doesn't.
  11. I like the direction you are going with the clouds, very well done.
  12. If there isn't actually going to be clouds then this post is just cruel, lol.
  13. Technically this is perfectly valid for clouds on Eve. They are made of explodium after all.
  14. Is there an underlying point to your question? The level of difficulty will scale with the experience of the player. This is like asking "How easy will it be to land on the Mun?" for example.
  15. The usual terminology is FPS, which is Frames Per Second. Most games don't use "ticks" to measure performance. Some do, like Minecraft, which is indicative of server performance. Other games like Factorio use UPS "Updates Per Second" which for Factorio normally runs at 60, which also means the game outputs frames at 60 FPS. If the UPS drops below 60, then the FPS also drops below 60 to match because the two are tied together. If Factorio is running at 30 UPS, that means everything in the game will take twice as long to do as usual. In KSP it is somewhat similar in that the FPS will lower as the CPU struggles, however the FPS in KSP is not tied to a base value like in Factorio.
  16. Man those Kerbals got some terrible programmers.
  17. The speed of light is the speed of light.
  18. My assumption is the dV doesn’t matter if you have completed the run once. It just gets hand waved away.
  19. These supply missions clearly aren’t going to be following a real trajectory. It will simply look that way.
  20. That persistent load out options just ensures that your Kerbals always carry the same equipment every time you use them. Otherwise it always switches it back to an EVA/Parachute.
  21. I am okay if this wins thread of the year.
