The first 4 planes I built had zero issues, including my my first SSTO which made it to orbit on first flight. This game requires learning and patience to understand how it works. It always has.

I am assuming undocking destroying your ship is on one of these lists. I made it to Duna with a mothership and a lander, and after exploding when undocking a few times… I just deorbited the whole thing in one piece. The ship & lander are currently hurdling back towards Kerbin. This’ll get interesting.

For sure. I’ll only have throw-away games for now anyways. I’ll harvest my craft from save games as I go along. It’s a great point though… always backup.

Thanks for the clarifications @Nate Simpson Also: the KSP2 mods @ SpaceDock are a good hit list of what (many) folks are needing most. I’ll be installing most of them until they get baked into the game. Can’t wait for the next release, thanks for the transparency.

So. Much. This. I know my $3,500 work laptop is not what most people are running on, and I feel for everyone that can't play yet... but I am grateful to have some good equipment and want to be part of the solution and help as much as I can by providing feedback to devs, so that more people can get on this rocket train. -

A balanced thoughtful take! I am running on a MacBook Pro M2 Max via Windows 11 on Parallels emulation w/ medium-ish settings. Overall, not horrible actually! 30-50 FPS using some stock craft, haven't had time to build my own rockets yet. It looks amazing, expect for clouds are dark and water has visual glitches, so I turn those settings to low and it's tolerable. The models are generally pretty dope, and lowering the transparency settings on painted surfaces bring just the right amount of shine. The sound is amazing. I expected the rocket sounds to be amazing based on the preview videos, but the music, and the interface sounds, and all the little things really are impressive. She of the tutorial voices are meh, but overall... A+. The controls are a bit awkward, but I agree... maybe 10K-ish hours of muscle memory just needs some time to adapt (and some minor changes could be made). I think we will be good in the long/med run. I hope they make some more optimizations soon so that you can jump back in with us. I'll be spending the rest of the day making rockets and seeing what this MacBook can do while I wait for my gaming PC to get it's 5700 XT "fixed". -

It worked! I copied this code into ScienceLabs.cfg, reloaded the game, and now I can produce RocketParts. Thanks for the fix @koyuze. -
Here is the new KSP.log with only 2 fatal Tweak/NF errors. I don't see a "ModuleManager.ConfigCache", but here is the ModuleManager.log. I do have craft in my save with these parts, but I have never rescaled them. Is that a factor?

Helpful info, thanks! I uninstalled Making History Configs, and Installed the beta NF Companion. These 2 NF parts are the only 2 reported as "fatal*: [LOG 19:31:59.392] [TweakScale] WARNING: **FATAL** Found a showstopper problem on solarpanel-deploying-2x1-2 (#LOC_NFSolar_solarpanel-deploying-2x1-2_title). [LOG 19:31:59.392] [TweakScale] WARNING: **FATAL** Found a showstopper problem on solarpanel-deploying-2x3-1 (#LOC_NFSolar_solarpanel-deploying-2x3-1_title). How big is the risk to continue playing this save? (I do have backups) Other options? Thank you again.

Houston, we have a problem! 67 **FATAL** Issues (screenshot | KSP.log ) Mods installed: TweakScale - Rescale Everything! (v2.4.3.12) KSP Recall (Release 0.0.2.3) TweakScale Configs for Making History TweakScale Companion for the ReStockPlus Add +113 More These fatal errors occurred only after upgrading to v2.4.3.12. After upgrading Tweakscale, 16 fatal errors appeared (all Near Future Solar). I tried to fix by adding KSP Recall + Making History Configs + ReStockPlus Companion. That attempted fix took the errors from 16 => 67. Any assistance would be appreciated, thank you.

Third! Oh damn... I actually hadn't even thought of the possibility that they wouldn't. Although... this is the one game in existence that would get me to shell out money for a PC. It would serve one purpose, and one purpose alone. -

Mac user here. Saw KSPTOT on the official KSP blog and decided instant download... until this I saw this on the WINE site: :-( Yes, *I think* we could run a Linux version of KSPTOT via Homebrew or Macports. Holding breath, thank you kind human for considering it.

I am having these same issues, specifically #1 & #4. Contracts for the Bases and Station Contract Pack do not appear, or rather, they briefly flicker on the contract list and disappear. Any help or direction to help myself would be appreciated.- 5,201 replies

5-star work gentlemen. I finished first 3 missions and now we are en route to Jool. The launch, the docking, and the Mun sequences are some of the best experiences I've had in KSP. Back to my career game now, where I have a fleet of ships approaching Jool for the first time. I'd like to experience Jool & Laythe in my career game first, then I'll be back to finish the story. Cheers & fly safe!
