  1. I got RO and RSS and some other mods, then whenever i send a probe on a nice trajectory to moon, before timewrap things are fine, after timewrap the orbit calculations are off, encounter is gone. Anyone know a fix for this?
  2. Are there any parts that add no-ullage unlimited restarting engines for satellites and kick stages?
  3. A small suggestion for mechjeb for RO: Use rcs to thrust for 5 seconds before main engine ignition.
  4. *blasts rocket aluminium strut with water beofre launching it* *rocket explodes*
  5. The apollo did this... And wouldnt the propulsive landings be harder without altitude to surface, which the dragon is unlikely equipped with? Chances are that propulsive landing would be harder than a failing triple chute. The last time a chute failed, it was the soyuz 1.
  6. What about venting fuel after deorbiting and before chute opening?
  7. I am not so sure if they have enough fuel after deorbiting to do this.
  8. Sounds like someone did too much photoshop. Also:
  9. Those look like spaceX landing legs. Try KRE.
  10. I am a simplier man. If nothing is blowing up, it isnt space exploration.
  11. Trial and error. Dont be afraid to send kerbals astray. If you dont have enough dv, add more stages and MOAR BOOSTERS.
  12. Have you ever considered using mods to help you determine the suicide burn height? I usually aim for a way too robust lander and do single stage from LEO to minmus landing. Then when i am ~200m above, i stage the almost empty fuel tank and land. Gives me a decent idea of how high i am above the terrain. And you may consider using a less powerful engine for landing. 5m/s is good, but 0.5 m/s is even better. Try keeping the landing speed between 0 and 5 m/s when landing. And because minmus has such weak gravity, be careful when decelerating.
  13. I dont usually land planes, but when i do, my kerbals eject.
  14. Or you could use the object thrower to destroy that part.
  15. They could hit the Nevada desert and no one would care... Oh, and also get some glass for free.
  16. *Plays dodgeball with bottles of ClF3 and UDMH* *"Accidentally" smashes the two flasks together*
  17. How come NASA has never considered a tintin-looking rocket for the STS?
  18. 1. Place a decoupler and a small solid booster below your current craft. 2. Change your staging so the twitch engine fires after you land with parachutes. 3. Launch it into the water. Try not to break anything, use the parachutes if necessary. 4. Stage when you are splashed. 5. PROFIT!!!
