Elon has never been a good speaker tbh. I just think it's really cool he's over there on that podium answering questions and inspiring people. I also don't get why people are saying that there is not that much new info.. i mean we get almost daily updates from the guy on twitter and since this is pretty much the final design there simply won't be any radical changes to talk about. -

that makes me wonder how they will actuate the fins with the huge amount of torque that is required to do that.. -

@sevenperforce this may sound weird but could it be a ring gear? -
I think it would be in the spirit of the challenge to only use the fuel tank for propulsion. I'm not sure if fuel cells can run on liquid fuel only. Edit: they cant. But you could use a small jet engine as a generator.

It's been a long time since there has been any falcon 9 launch and it doesn't look like there is going to be another one soon. Why is that? Because a couple of months ago spacex did so many launches back to back i couldn't keep up. -
A caveman mun mission. Everything went perfect until jeb realised he had forgotten the parachute...

stock piston engine powered biplane.
Flying dutchman replied to Flying dutchman's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
i'll do that shortly -
https://kerbalx.com/theflyingdutchman/piston-engine-plane-mk1 for anyone who wants to experience the raw power of stock piston engines... here you go A piston engine powered biplane that flies (just) top speed is 30m/s and climb rate is about 0.5 m/s, the max flight time is around 20 min. build in ksp 1.7.3 requires breaking ground and making history. instructions: 1 engage sas 2 pres 1 to engage the starter motor 3 stage the engines and press z for full throttle. 4 pres 2 to disengage the starter motor. if you don’t do this the plane won’t take off. 5 wait and keep it on the runway. the plane will take off by itself have fun!!

@mikegarrison Is it your opinion that we should stick to expendable rockets? -

Can we perhaps just open a topic to argue about spacex and say negative things so that we can use this one for updates and positive things? I really feel like this topic has been going downhill and i used to enjoy reading this but now i don't. -
