Thanks @Foozle! Archtagon Aerospace was the mod I was looking for. The forums have been amazing once again!

So. I'm looking for a mod that I once saw on a (probably very old) kottabos mod review. It was a mod that added some very old-style rocket parts for early game. There's very little I remember about it apart from that the mod used a resource called Kethanol, as a kind of early alcohol-based rocket fuel. This mod may be long gone, but if anyone knows what it is, I'd greatly appreciate any pointers. Thanks for your time!

Let's see how this goes! I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines

Well, you can just fly by IVA yourself for now. As for the cameras, here's the obligatory There's A Mod For That™: Hullcam VDS.

Every time some one asks, it gets pushed back a week.
It makes me wonder... have they already finished porting it to 1.8 and are just waiting for the weeks to go by?

This should make KS3P's GUI prettier, faster, simpeler and more flexible as it will now adjust to the screen settings of the user machine instead of expecting a 1920x1080 monitor 100% of the time.
Woop!

Also, just a little mission to Dres.

I was just launching a tiny little mission to Dres. Y'know, just for fun... Thought I might drop a picture of the LV.

Dressian National Rocketry Association
This might be a little complicated, but do we really worry about over-complicatedness?
SpoilerMQV-A on the pad. This and MQV-B are the heaviest rockets DNRA have launched so far.
MQV-B on the pad.
MQV-A lifting off the pad.
MQV-B booster sep.
MQV A and B's first stage separation
Both in space now. This will be DNRA's first rendezvous and docking.
One that was successful! It's off to the mun now!
On the ground, the flight controllers reminded the 'nauts of their breathing exercises as another whistance-worthy low pass occurred. With no signal. By the time they had gathered themselves enough to take a photograph, the mun was already in the distance.
The duo reached kerbin again, the tug was separated and their service module fired retrograde.
Toasty.
Aaand breathe. The capsule was recovered, along with the precious SCIENCE! Thus ends the mission of the MQV.

The mun sandcastle looks great with the new terrain shaders!

Everything here's been solved. Thanks once again people!

We've already got a 1.875m engine plate.
