Nobody's mentioned Titan, which is my favourite moon. I think that we choose to go to Titan, not because it is easy, but because if you can lift 9% of your body weight (XKCD) you could fly! It has a low gravity but thick atmosphere, so would be very easy to land on and not that difficult, compared to Mars or Venus, to launch from - you could use propellers or airships, (links are to KSP craft) to launch out of the dense atmosphere and gain altitude & speed. You could also use the atmosphere to launch a wider exploration mission covering hundreds of km (unlike even the longest lasting rovers), because an electric-propeller plane or airship would be able to run indefinitely, even if it is far from the Sun. Or you could just get Near Future Electronics which has nuclear reactors in.

What is considered a easy to fly SSTO profile?
fulgur replied to Jestersage's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Take off at about 5 degrees until you pass the magic 400m/s. Then pitch up - depending on your engines - to between 10 and 20. You can go higher if you have a tiny stunt craft. At around 18km engage the atomics or rockets and at around 25km depending on how many intakes you spam switch to Closed-Cycle mode. When your craft pitches up (relative to the surface, it is travelling very fast) you shouldn't stop it unless you have very low thrust. At Ap80 shut your engines and warp to the circularisation burn. -
who knows the name of the mod that improves galileo planet pack?
fulgur replied to klancy1o's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
The only one I know of which adds planets is the Grannus Expansion Pack. What sort of improvements? -
When the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics causes the inevitable heat death of the universe, then the Jedi order will finally fall. But the Sith will too so that's all right.

Agreed, those don't count as Exploration. But all the same it is nice to have a monetary reason to go back to a body you were going to visit again; I really don't want to set up a Duna base on my first mission there, because (as Duna is my first interplanetary mission) the data will make it redundant as soon as it leaves Kerbin SoI!

When We Left kerbin - Chapter Twenty: Epilogue
fulgur replied to Angelo Kerman's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Cool EAV! I love the way that you are simultaneously running several different missions For Science! Is it possible that you'll have an Eve mission based off that 'for real'? Also, some of the writing inserted on the Face goes over the Kerbals, which unless it's floating neon hologram writing, is a bit distracting. What language is it by the way? EDIT: I think it's Futhark! You've got some Norse aliens! Run away, the Vikings are coming! (Futhark alphabet below for reference). -

Because why not. Also, ω/Ω is Greek (Omega, long o), not Egyptian. -

I sincerely hope that you will, like me, be sucked down the rabbit hole that is kOS and spend all your time until the Kraken devours you fixing faulty landing scripts and futilely struggling to control aircraft.

Oddly my Stiletto with structural panel armour was more vulnerable to a Boxdrone at about 20m than a Dagger (the new version with engine armour). Remains of the Stiletto Only a couple of wing panels of the Dagger were destroyed. And since Jeb was in the secret, protected crew cabin of the new version, it would be operational if I had hit the cockpit (which I wasn't aiming for). I continue to be completely awful at building armour for my destructive things. Also I can't go wild on part count because I own a potato. Will try to make even lighter craft like a manned Boxdrone but better, because you said you needed them, and a couple more warships.

There are lots of easter eggs, usually called 'anomalies', scattered around the system. You can find them with KerbNet or with mods like SCANSat, and some of them give you rewards. There are fixed-position Black Monoliths on almost every body, and sometimes more than one. There are random-position Green Monoliths, one per body and randomly generated, which unlock a tech tree node for you. All the other anomalies are fixed-position, and are mostly on Kerbin and the Mun, and a couple are on Duna. Off the top of my head:

If you want it moved, report the OP of the thread using the 'report post' link, and set the message as whichever thread you want. And be polite to the all powerful moderators. I don't think anyone's posted something for the GLORIOUS USSARI UNION (or Kerbal Space Russia), so I dug up some anti-pirate craft from an old save. As explained by Comrade Engineering Officer: Glorious Ussari Weaponry. As there are no 0.625m probe cores with Target SAS enabled, use the difficulty setting "All SAS modes on all probe cores" to effectively target when using guided missiles. Dagger II Boxdrone: Stiletto I: Sparrowhawk The glorious Ussari ships have never been tested against the squishy KSP ships, but the even-squishier pirate ships fall apart as soon as they attack not-squishy Ussari transports! Mainly modern Ussari ships are tested against Boxdrones, or other larger similar ships. (no longer pretending to be Comrade Engineering Officer) There are a couple more Ussari ships and I could build more, but they're not very good as I'm not good at destroying things, preferring to just do exploration.

Well I started coding on Scratch, which was not useful for anything other than Scratch, but it still taught me a lot of things. Also kOS is based closely on other languages and is designed to be familiar to those who know other coding languages, so I suppose that works the other way round. Yes, it is very addictive and a massive time sink.

Personally I'd count that 74(+) at the top of the page as valid because it ignores εκ νιλλαιη's invalid post but whatever. 73 (-)
