    hmm... didn't even think of that! I had an encounter coming out of Kerbin SOI but Time Warp ruined it... not once, but twice, resulting in a 531 m/s burn in Kerbol SOI, which screwed my dV budget.

    yep... like spending an hour trying to get your Kerbals to Duna orbit only to realize that, crap, your 10% dV margin is gone and you have to quick load back to when the craft was in LKO and its all you can do to keep yourself from chucking your old computer out of the window with its terrible processor, but the main reason you don't is because you have a giant writing paper due in a couple of days and if you chuck it the paper probably won't be done on time with my procrastination skills... ugh.

    @adsii1970, where do you get your month/ship naming system from? I recognize a couple of planet names in both ship and month form, and I also know that a couple of them are from the Outer Planets mod. I'm curious because KSP itself doesn't have a month (or would that be Münth?) system. (oooh and i started a new page)

    OH DANG CALLED IT (to a decent amount of closeness... I said on the top while he said on the side... close enough. It's within the 10% margin recommended for dV... wait wrong thing)

    Hmm... @MPDerksen do you have any larger fuel tanks? Because if you do, (wait for it!) add the larger fuel tank and then ADD MOAR BOOSTERS to cope for the added weight of the payload! Other than that, I'll be watching to see what the experts come up with. Maybe a detachable top tank of fuel?

    While that is all well and good, you're also all forgetting the basic rule of KSP. "When in doubt, add more boosters!" @MPDerksen, I also have a terrible time maximizing my ascent to orbit, but if you add enough dV, unless something falls critically *cough DANG IT mod cough* you should be fine. Oh, and @Aegolius13? Nice plug!

    Does this mean that Chapter 72 will be supplementary to find out more about the PC's background, @adsii1970? (Prime Consul, that is) This is just another fan theory, however, and should not replace any future plans you have for the series. I'm just curious.

    Ha! Thanks for the warm welcome! I just finished binge-reading (I like that term!) this whole "blog" in a little under a day (not 1 Kerbin day... 1 Earth day). Can't wait for the next chapter!

    Hey y'all! I'm getting ready to send my first kerbals interplanetary, but I'm not sure how much dV I need to get from Kerbin to Duna orbit (not landing yet, but I'll get there eventually) and back. I might try and do aerobraking around Kerbin, but not sure if I'll do it around Duna. Thanks in advance to all of you who help! Also, this is probably somewhere else in the forums, but I can't find it. Again, thanks! P.S. if this is in the wrong area, I apologize for not being able to find my way around the forums yet... *shrug*
