  1. Hey, sorry to bother you but for some of the hold down arms, they don't retract when you stage them, just release, and I have to bind the animation to an action group and push it just before I stage. Do you know how to fix this?
  2. Today, Munus 10, 11, and 12 all launched on K-8 rockets. It was also to serve as a test for booster recovery of the first stage of a K-8 rocket, and also investigate the anomalies that occurred on the crew 8 and 9 missions, where the rocket that was rated for 1.8 tons to LKO failed to deposit the 1.3 ton spacecraft just shy of orbit(does upgrading to 1.9 have something to do with this?) Munus 10 lifted off without a hitch. A parking orbit was a established and the booster was recovered downrange a few minutes later. surprisingly just 4 radial mounted parachutes was enough to slow it down to a reasonable speed. when I recovered it, for some reason the recovery menu didn't show up so I had no idea whether it made a difference to cost or not. The mission went off without a hitch. We flew behind the mun, went up to apoapsis and did a retro burn to bring it into the atmosphere. A few days later we began atmospheric entry. I decided not to detach the OPS(orbital power station). I also decided to try a lifting entry, rather than ballistic. After around 30 seconds I saw that the probe core was overheating. The temperature gauge would go all the way up and then reset. I was lucky. This would continue until I hit 41km, where it just vaporized. Munus 11 would try and do it again. I got another encounter with the mun, but I didn't go where I did before(only L1 tracking station). I also recovered the booster. Again, no recovery screen. So, it flew behind the Mun, we looped back around to apoapsis, where we did the retro burn. Once again, it vaporized at 41km. Munus 12 was my last attempt for the day. Everything went as planned. I decided to jettison the OPS this time. the probe core started to overheat again, and we had a reaction wheel failure. we passed through the atmo with no damage. I had to keep the probe core in hibernation to save power, because of the low charge on the onboard batteries of the probe core. We passed through again, and lowered the apoapsis again. The last pass was the one. For some reason the probe would orient itself heat shield first, something to do with aerodynamics I guess. We passed through. I deployed the parachutes. I was ecstatic. I had done it finally, I could complete this stupid contract and move on hopefully with surface mun probes. We splashed down-and then some. The probe sunk under the water. I saw the water wasnt that deep, and hoped it would hit the bottom and I could recover it from the bottom of the ocean. I jettisoned the heat shield and hoped it would help. It didn't. The probe continued to sink till around 300 meters, before reaching it's pressure limit and imploding. qwertyuiopasdfghjklzxcvbnm Here's an imgur album of the photos. Most of these are from Munus 10 and 12, I really didn't take any pictures of 11 https://imgur.com/a/aguknAE https://imgur.com/undefinedhttps://imgur.com/undefinedhttps://imgur.com/undefinedhttps://imgur.com/undefinedhttps://imgur.com/undefinedhttps://imgur.com/undefinedhttps://imgur.com/undefined
  3. I'm trying to use as little part mods as possible. I don't have an SSD and my load times are already something like 25-30 minutes. I also recently had to uninstall scatterer to keep my frame rates up, and I use life support mods so sometimes spacecraft can get rather large. I don't want to lose my duna sandstorms either. If I can get super heavy and maybe ultra heavy lifters going with as minimal parts as possible, that would be good.
  4. protractor - you can pick one up at a grocery store for $3
  5. I think it's realistic, because realistically you would only really use them during transit. While in orbit or performing operations most likely you would be consious.
  6. I really like the idea of restock, but personally I like the look of the stock parts better, especially the new ones.
  7. Anyone really hope the Rhino(and maybe the vector) get a revamp? It was based on the J-2X back when it was used on the SLS Upper stage, but it always looked awkward to me. Maybe make it a little skinnier, smaller nozzle with larger nozzle extention, and maybe an EUS variant for new SLS Replicas? Vector remake will be similar, just maybe with some pipes(i like piping)
  8. ignore this reply, I made a mistake This is just a test, I don't plan on moving to 1.9 until it is officially released. I don't know what to do with modular flight integrator. It's in my gamedata but I don't know where to put it. It didn't come in the kopernicus source code, and it can't load kopernicus.parser. I don't know, but I think this is the issue. Once that is fixed, I have no idea where compatability checker is, and what I would do to the actual planet mod.
  9. I have visual studio I have the source code now what i'm not good with this stuff help
  10. I would like to use the Air and Stress addons with Snacks. Unfortunately, I really don't know how to configure them. I already looked in the KSPedia and didn't find any new items. Sorry to bother you. If you could help I would greatly appreciate it!
  11. I only really have one standard vehicle, and its not an entire launcher. It's my crew shuttle series, which carries 3 kerbals. There is an upper stage which uses a weird length fuel tank(made of of small and large 2.5m tanks) powered by my current upper stage powerhouse the RE-I2 (Skiff from making history). This is an upper stage and transmunar stage, where it will go to the Perseverance space station in low munar orbit, the surface(if it is a lander variant) or the surface of Minmus. I don't have a picture rn, but I will get one and edit it in here. I would have standard launchers, but I really don't know how to gauge payload capacity, and such. Edit: Pictures Crew Shuttle Manta(Science Lander Variant) En Route to Minmus Crew Shuttle Challenger arriving at Perseverance Space Station.
