  1. Well, I guess that makes sense. I mean, they've been making them for ages now; the operators must have enough now. Add the pandemic to that...
  2. I've experienced this in 2 ways: 1) If it's changing the FOV, just press ALT and scroll for a bit, then it fixes it. 2) If that doesn't work, I don't know how to fix it. I've had this exact problem before and the only solution I found was to reinstall KSP. Try "Clear Input Locks" in the ALT-F12 menu, but it didn't work for me.
  3. Yes, but it's really costly. TLI is nowhere near the ascending/descending node, so inclination changes are weird. Keep on doing what you're doing.
  4. Well, it's close. The fairing isn't reused, but I plan to change that in the future.
  5. Wait, WHAT!?! But it's an awesome plane! Why?
  6. Boeing, isn't it? EDIT: Yeah, I see the logo on the front.
  7. Refueling depot! A simple 2 module station was planned and launched: Not enough payload capacity? MOAR! Yes, a six-booster version. Unfortunately, this thing has about 700 parts, and with all the visual things, it was completely lagging my computer, and I wasn't able to take photos of the booster recovery. All but 1 booster landed safely. It took me several reloads to get the next 2 photos: Fairing deploy: Core sep: Orbit: Payload deployment: Core recovery: And for some reason the landing legs got busted again. Strange. Upper stage recovery: Crew module launch: Booster sep: Core sep and fairing deployment (pardon the visual bugs): Orbit: Rendezvous burn: Approaching: Payload deployment: Nice shot of the 3 craft: Docked: Completed! I'm not sure what I'll do next. Next update should be sometime this week. Once again, if you can't see the photos, please post with your browser and OS information so I can track down the problem. Thanks for reading!
  8. Welcome to the fora. I think there's already a mod for what you want, but I've never used it:
  9. X3: Terran Conflict is old, but awesome. However, the learning curve is really steep, it's probably steeper than KSP's. Once you know how to play though, it's amazing. One of the best economic+combat games I've played.
  10. BUG: The colliders on asteroids are mismapped. You can go under the asteroid's terrain and crash 50m away from the surface. Out of curiosity, is this mod still being developed? I haven't seen any releases lately...
  11. Autostrut everything. I've used a keyboard for years and never had problems with its landing control, but that may just be me. Even fully fueled I would think that the plane would be able to land safely.
  12. Either Lawrence of Arabia or Bridge over the River Kwai. Both are really good and well filmed.
  13. Sorry, I didn't mean to break that rule. I wanted to use a "veto" photo and that was the best thing I could find.
  14. Really? I can see them just fine, but it takes a while to load. I'll re-upload them just in case. Out of curiosity, what browser and OS are you using?
  15. Well, I started a new RSS save, and I figured I'd share it on the fora. Welcome to RSS. Basically, everything is harder. dV map for example: Currently I'm having problems with visual mods beyond the Earth-Moon system, so there likely won't be any adventures to atmospheric planets. If you can't see the photos, just wait a couple seconds; it may take some time to load. If that doesn't work, please post here and tell me what browser and OS you are using. Mods (mostly): All the Near Future mods Cryo Engines + Tanks Vessel Mover FMRS RSS RVE64k Kerbal Reusability Expansion Ablative-Airbrake RealPlume stock config Stockalike Station Parts Expansion Redux And a lot of informational mods. What's a space program without lifters? Here's the first iteration of a reusable lifter: Liftoff: Beginning gravity turn: Booster separation: We'll be getting back to these. The core continues: Upper stage separation and fairing deployment: Again, we'll get back to the core. The upper stage continues its ascent to orbit: Finally, orbit is achieved: Back to the side boosters. Maneuvering into position for a targeting burn: Burning: Slowdown: Here's a video of the landing: https://www.dropbox.com/s/satcvj3j9t30blx/Side booster landing.mp4?dl=0 It should be previewed in Dropbox, so you don't have to download the entire thing. Now, the core stage: Landing: Landed: For some odd reason the landing legs bounced off the booster, but it still remained upright. Finally, back to the relay. Raising the orbit: Deploying the relay: Circularizing: Done: Now the upper stage deorbits: Atmospheric entry: Beginning the landing burn: Here's a video of the landing: https://www.dropbox.com/s/xpghoyhvwe9n5hh/Upper stage landing.mp4?dl=0 And that's all for today! Likely next I'll deploy a couple more relays and maybe build a refueling depot in LEO. Thanks for watching/reading!
  16. Damn. And I literally just upgraded to the required specs. This looks great; will there be RSS configs?
  17. I noticed that too. The part to the northwest also resembles Iberia, and the eastern peninsula resembles the Korean peninsula.
  18. I just got started too, and I had the same problem. I think Blender rescales the model by some factor of 10. Change the import scale in Unity to 10 or 100 times and it should fix it.
  19. Wings work by creating a pressure differential across the top and bottom of the wing. Bernoulli's principle turns that pressure difference into force, which is the lift. On planets that have an atmosphere, aerodynamics will play a large part in the design of a craft. On planets that have no atmosphere, there's no pressure, so no Bernoulli, so no lift. Also, there's no such thing as a dumb question.
  20. Yeah... This has come up in S&SF a few times now. It's a great method of getting mass out of Earth's gravity well, but humans probably aren't going to do it because it's easier to just launch a bigger rocket or refuel an orbital tug. Electric propulsion is also another option.
  21. Really? I find Nertea's part quality to be way better than stock. Still, I can understand your desire to remain stock.
  22. Near Future Solar already provides this, and more:
