I did finally got the same kind of visual with Katniss, Katniss x2.5 config and KK, but I'm wondering it there is a way to go further, especially regarding the ground textures : they look GREAT when flying, but not so much when lower in altitude, which of course kinda obvious.

Still, is there even larger definition of the ground ? I'm using this install for BDA tournament that will exclusively happen around the KSC center, so, maybe high detailed ground for this single area ?

Also, as we can see in the image above, the game Space Center is crossing a sand road, and it's a bit too visible, like, different texture, way more detailed, etc.

How can we enhance that ? Is this possible to move the Space Center just a bit further in the green homogene field ? Is there new building that would take place is this scenery with logic and aesthetic in mind ?

Thanks in advance, wonderful mod set !

Oh, and second subject as well :

I'm kinda stucked : I want to get the very best visual that's possible around the Space Center for BDA tournament that will stick there, and I finally built a very nice KSP Install based on KSRSS, scaled to x2.5 using Sigma, enhanced locally by the wonderful Katniss Cap Canaveral and its x2.5 config, and the whole graphics mods set, you know, PlanetShine, DoE, TU, TURD, Waterfall, etc, etc.

But I can't get properly good clouds. Like, really, they looks like crap, don't know if it's related to x2.5 scale, but my AVP install looks way better. I've tried KVE on top of the install, it did not ruin anything, works fine, but no improvement.

So, this is the question, how can I improve the clouds to get the very best looking one with my install ?

I would really appreciate any help !

I'm not aware of any way to make the ground textures look better sorry

Complete Jamestown launch, from liftoff to landing

I gotta say that we really didn't have many details about the Jamestown launch apart from the landing video, so I have decided to go this way:
    - Launch is unmanned so that the service module doesn't have to return to earth and uses its propellant to bring Jamestown into lunar orbit
    - As it was derived from Skylab, I've made it the SIVB diameter
    - the adapter carries the airlock and a drop tank used by Jamestown to do the first part of the landing sequence and finish the landing using the onboard fuel tanks, thus no need for a wet workshop

    Liftoff:

Best Jamestown recreation i've seen but im pretty sure it would've been launched on a Saturn V without the S-ivb and just in a S-II fairing, and then one of the Apollo missions would've used crew to assemble the airlock

Do you want a lunar base with a rover? Do you think that the NASA budget will continue to remain at the initial Apollo levels forever? In other words, are you a NASA scientist in 1968? Follow these three simple steps to achieve your goals!

1: send a LASS (LM Adapter Surface Station, thank you NASA for putting an acronym inside an acronym) with an unmanned Saturn V to the landing site

Step 2: Send the MOLEM (Lunar Surface MObility LM, which is such a bad acronym it's funny. At least now with stuff like OSIRIS-REx they try to find some words that actually have the initials they put in the arconym and not completely random letters) with a crewed mission, but since you'd have no way to get back the rover lands uncrewed

    MOLEM

Step 3: Finally send the crew to the lunar surface with a Apollo LM Taxi (no new acronyms! Thanks god), which is a pretty boring LM-but-with-3-people and next to no external differences so I skipped the part before the lunar landing. With the crew there the steps are now complete and you can start doing the lunar stuff, such as driving the MOLEM around

This is why i love the new Apollo parts, the kitbashing potential is crazy

I have to say that it was extremely overpowered for the stock system, so much that without a very heavy payload (80+ tons range) it would probably be too much even for JNSQ  I have to admit I really like the concept behind the rocket, it's basically an SLS block 1 for one third of the launch cost and available 30 years ago

It took me really too long to find this one and finding more interesting unflown rockets to recreate will be even harder, so if anyone has ideas please tell me!

Hello, I just tested your method of installing this one works. However there is a small graphical bug. When I am on the night side of the Earth there is one half which is dark and the other half which must be dark is glitched by the sunlight which is on the other side. Do you have any idea what I should do to remove it?

in the main menu change the textures to "Full Res'
