KSP2 Release Notes

Cool, just wanted to confirm if it was just hard, or something was wrong with my install. Any tips for launching from Cape Canaveral? Like at what angle should I aim an orbit and such. Or if it's possible to aim a polar orbit like the soviets from there. I am afraid I don't have much data on real historical maneuvres.

Is it normal to have a relative inclination to the moon of around 23-19º?? Going to the moon with Principia is a lot harder than other planets due to that. I've read people saying you can launch with a relative inclination of 0.3, But that never happens in my career. I've read somewhere that it was a bug from RSS Expansion but I don't have that mod.

KSP2 didn't kill KSP. Ksp will continue on, in the same way that you still have Age 2 players or RTW players. Also, KSP has a lot of "behind the scenes" limitations. To make a more polished and well planned sequel can only mean better stuff for all KSP players. I believe we can all expect a greater, prettier, more optimized version of the game.

I actually think nobody was expecting the reaction KSP2 trailer got. It got way too many views for a niche game. 7.3 million to be precise. I honestly think the whole delays and production "restart" came from a change of production value viewed on the game. They expect this game to be a franchise. Sure, it will never be GTA, but we already know KSP sells as much as the Anno series, and that's something. KSP1 sold 3.5 million units, it's not GTA, but it's not that small. And with the whole SpaceX fanbase, I honestly think it has potential to grow. Space exploration is recovering the "cool"/popular standard that was lost after the Apollo program. Having multiplayer and cooler explosions, will only make it even more streamable. We also know this will probably follow Paradox model of launching one game every 5-7 years and fill the rest with patches and DLCs. I think this game has potential to increase it's audience if the sequel proves worthy.

Having a problem here with KSP RP1. I tried making a crewed orbital and my kerbal dies from suffocation. But I don't know why. It has all the capsule resources full and all proccesses on. I even added an extra lifesupport system+liquid oxygen. And I am not talking they died after 3 weeks in space. My kerbals suffocte not even 2 minutes after lunch, I haven't even finished making an orbit. And the mod doesn't tell me why, all I see is the breathing stat increasing until they die. What am I missing here?

[1.12] KSP-RO - Realism Overhaul [16 May 2022]
Sesshaku replied to Theysen's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I am having two problems. Or perhaps it's just only two questions. And I don't know wether it's an RO or an RP1 problem. 1º: I can't choose the "mount" option in fuel tanks. I seem to remember you could choose different mount sets, but I don't see any option other than choosing the texture for sides and end. 2º: I seem to be having a problem with avionics control mass. Or perhaps there isn't a problem, and I just don't get the mechanics. Here's an example of what I mean, the control mass WAAAAY exceeds the actual weight of the vessell.- 2,213 replies

[1.12.X] Neptune Camera - Basic Camera Utility [4.3][21.06.2023]
Sesshaku replied to Beale's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Quick Question 2: ¿Is it possible that RO/RSS/Principia disables the "preview camera" feature? -
Will do. Thank you. However, just in case you want to check the problem, or even make your own converted version of Vulkan's IVA into the newer MAS version. I leave the LOG to you. Couldn't figure out what the problem was. I'll just delete Vulkan's I guess.

Honestly? I don't remember. I think it was a link provided by him in one youtube video. I downloaded it a while ago. I don't even remember the folder name. But my guess is that's what causing trouble with AvSys I think it was this one. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bTBRcijrKndjH15VB9cpcIxtsYqOh7Yw/edit Taken from here

I'll write it here cause I don't know where else to post it and I don't want to open another thread. But one of the things I really hope KSP2 improves is landing interface. And by that I mean a better way of precision landing. I want to be able to carefully pre-plan my flight path in order to land at a specific location. I assume this will be in fact improved, since base building and development seems to be an entirely new mechanic and it would be a pain in the ass with the current unmodded interface. But, just saying, I really hope they do. I am a bit of an IVA player, so I would really like some sort of Scansat instrument.
-
Okey, so this new upgrade somehow broke my Vulcan OPT-J IVA cabin. It's the classic "black screen" on display+the message avionic systems error check logs. So my question is, where do I read the MOARdv's logs? I suspect there's probably a conflict between the vulcan cabin and the update.

Me neither. It's awesome. My only problem with Vulkan's awesome cockpit is that he loves SSTO, while i'm more of a multistages capsule reentry kind of guy. So it's really hard for me to design something with that cabin.

And let's also hope they make good IVA controls, or make sure mod support for those is there.- 89 replies

It's Friday! New KSP2 video!
Sesshaku replied to GuessingEveryDay's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
Console players will never rejoice until someone finally finds a way for them having access to mods. Prices aren't the problem, the problem is stock. I can't find a single current gen GPU at market price.- 64 replies

You're right! I forgot about the cargo section. Although it is curious to see the same button on the down-right corner too, like if there's something to check there. Also I just love that we finally get a fully customizable color pattern for our rockets. You and me both. I know my CPU can handle it, I think my RAM will handle it. But my GPU.....I wanted to upgrade it to a 3060/3070 but.....by this stock trend, I won't find one until KSP2 releases it's first DLC.- 64 replies

Let's talk about the UI. For instance, what do you guys thinks it's the option between decouplers and wings. It looks like a medkit pointing towards the vessell.....¿a life support system? But that seems too "hard" for stock kerbal.- 64 replies

On this we all agree. KSP2 needs to be a lot more efficient and optimized than KSP1. Even in something as simple as loading. KSP, on an m2 SSD, with 10-15 mods, takes more time to load than games like Civ VI, or CK3. I don't know how or what they did in KSP1, but it's the most inefficient build i've ever seen.

I THINK this mod is working, because I had two engines turn orange and then fail without any warning. But, this is my problem. I seem to see no interface of the mod whatsoever. When I build a rocket, I don't see % of failures. I don't know how or where to track the progression for each engine, etc. In other words: where am I suppose to SEE the data from the mod?

I am having a problem with the Rodan capsule. Everyime I enter atmosphere it tips over on it's side. To be clear, I am talking about the Rodan capsule+Pico Heathshield (I think that's the name of the silvery heathshield) no other parts attached (well...yes, parachutes and a docking port)

I doubt we'll get a dev diary about colonies game mechanics this early in development. VAB and maneuver node tool changes would be cool.

Sorry english is not my first language. I didn't mean only single player would have that feature. I meant that, since they're developing multiplayer for KSP2, a cool way of having meaningful gameplay, would be just kerballing around with friends both inside and outside the ship/bases doing science task, fixing/adding stuff and flying from IVA.
