Oh that is awesome! And a little inspiration maybe for some new air/sea contract missions... frog-kerbals jumping from choppers to assist with capsule recovery missions using EVA construction to attach additional flotation. But I'm getting ahead of myself. Good job! -

the parachute packs were visible, however after jumping (even with deployment preset to immediate) there was no chute deployment. The pack remained on the back, and the "cut chute" option appeared in the PAW. -

Well these things happen. Glad it was caught it early... I do a lot of skydiving and well, it was terribly surprising to discover. -

Small glitch in the matrix: After I installed pre-release v0.2.0 I discovered that the Kerbal parachutes no longer function correctly. After leaving an aircraft and letting go in flight the P key would no longer deploy the chute and the deploy option in the PAW was completely gone. Sadly this resulted in the rather surprising death of a valued KSIS agent on a covert deployment operation, but I digress. On removing WildBlueIndustries\Sunkworks from from GameData, the ability to parachute out of a perfectly good airplane returned. I'm not exactly sure what the cause of this is, but if you need more testing done, let me know. Submitted: Issue #1 -

You need to host the image on a service like imgur.com or similar. Then use the insert image from url button in the create new post frame. For the picture to be displayed, the URL should end in the format of the image (i.e .jpg or .png), otherwise it will appear as a link only. -

If you are on Windows 10 you can use the Windows Key + G to load the Game-bar that has the option to record video of your game. If you use Nvidia graphics card you can use it's overlay feature to record video. Other cards may have a similar feature. You can use a program like OBS Studio to capture or stream video as well (useful for twitch).

That would be unfortunate. I'm sure that if additional DLC where created through some mechanism by a professional group that would provide support and patches that I might be interested. However, as someone who writes a "niche" mod I would never think of monetizing it because it would never occur to me to do so. That doesn't make my opinion correct, it just makes it mine.

I, for one, am looking forward to being paid handsomely for my efforts of stringing some configuration files together to encourage the flying of airplanes. I'll be rich I tell you! Rich! The fractions of a fraction of a penny will be rolling in! Muhahahah!

On Official Business Transporting VIKs (Very Important Kerbals) for the United Knations... boy it takes a lot of staff to pick up one guy! You can make it a launch site in the instance editor for the part. See -> https://github.com/caerfinon/KerbinSideRemasteredGapExtras/wiki/Getting-Started-With-Kerbal-Konstructs#make-a-launch-site for details. Edit: If for some reason the launch-site cannot be edited on the part. You could drop a "Universal Spawn point" on top of it. (needs Omega structures mod) -
Difference is good. I don't want to play a game where all kerbals are identical, anymore than I would want to play a game where all rocket parts were only white, or only silver. Vive la différence!

@ColdJ @Dientus The twin rotor from Airplane Plus helps a lot... very stable.

I'm saying that day one, KSP2 may not have available all of the play options that KSP has. It may have new and different ones but the mod catch-up time is an unknown factor that may prevent certain types of play.

In the Navy... Back in the rescue business again... Naval aviators... honestly. And in the middle of an eclipse as well. Step one. Extraction from a ditch in the drink. Step two... return to base. (for extra credit set down on the VAB!) Step three. Certification complete. time for a brew or two H1 Rescue on KerbalX

Custom contract packs for aircraft flights for one. not sure how well these might translate to a "stock" mission system, or even if such a thing will be available at launch.

I am optimistic as well, however I doubt that all play-styles available in KSP will be contained in the KSP2 launch out of the box. There will be a period of "adjustment". I want to discover what KSP2 has to offer, but I also want to be able to do the things I do now in KSP as well.
