  1. That was the plan anyway Also i 100% agree with you @Minmus Taster
  2. Play something three times, silly Am i the only one here besides those 2
  3. Maybe you should move two of the solar panels to the other side so the Odyssey II does not look so beat up?
  4. Well, the Mars 3 landing module was 1,2 meters in diameter.
  5. Also, it is worthy of mention that the 20 seconds is not a definitive number. I may be unintentionally exaggerating, but according to different sources the time Mars 3 functioned on Mars' surface varies between 14 and 30 seconds.
  6. I mean it would've been buried deep enough that the signal couldn't have gotten through, or maybe the sand broke the antennas. That martian sandstorm engulfed the entire planet. The martian sandstorms are just crazy!
  7. Might be told already, but apparently Proxima Centauri and most other red dwarfs are flare stars because their gravity is not strong enough to contain the flares No it's actually a magnifying glass
  8. I didn't see Lucy was in there, sorry (edited)
  9. So. For context, Mars 3 was a soviet spaceprobe that was launched in the same launch window with Mariner 9. It was the first human spacecraft (nlt Viking 1, it only landed in june 16th 1976, as opposed to Mars 3's 3.12.1971) to land on the surface of Mars, completely functional- although it lost contact ~20 seconds after touchdown- which brings us to my hypothesis. Could Mars 3 have lost contact due to being buried by a sandstorm, as its landing just so happened to be during the largest ever sandstorm on Mars?
  10. About the communication loss thing... KSP-2 will have far future tech and that will probably include comms tech. Also, basically all interstellar probe plans have the spacecraft have AI to control it.
  11. There's no need for them (fractions like 1/10th of lightspeed are fast enough) and it has already been confirmed warp will not be a thing in KSP-2. Sorry, no intentional (cough cough Danny2462) stock FTL coming to KSP-2.
  12. No no, you have misunderstood. I am talking about engines here, not fuel tanks. Like i said in the OP, Project Daedalus would have had the probe use its engine as its primary antenna for communication with Earth.
  13. NO. The sun is a deadly lazer and does it 4 me How to stooped
  14. AWESOME! Now there's cupolas at both ends! Also, can Val be first on Vall and Bob first on Bop :0
  15. Yes of course, but only one, and that's Wernher von Kerman Is the answer to this question "no"
