So, ya know the really big-big peninsula east of the KSC on Kerbin? I call it the Kaunis peninsula. The reason being finnish, my native language. You see, in finnish the word korea is not only the name of THAT peninsula, but also one of the finnish words for "neat" or "beautiful". Kaunis also means beautiful in finnish. And, the peninsula in KSP is kinda similar to the Korea peninsula on Earth (in East Asia between Japan and China). So that's why i call the peninsula in KSP the Kaunis peninsula.
