  1. Thank you! Turning off stock AA fixed the problem. Although I might just remove TUFX.
  2. Quick question: do you think the community will be able to tell what kind of multiplayer implementation KSP2 will receive based on the files (network scaffolding) of the Early Access version? @K^2
  3. @Ghostii_SpaceI am surprised and glad to see there's official communication with the community. I have simple questions please. We all know that the KSP private players, modders, streamers, YouTubers have "giants" that have played the game for thousands of hours and put in work that is very valuable. Around 2020 they were invited to share their feedback and opinions with the dev team. I keep an eye out for any comments about KSP2 - but these seem to be very limited. 1. I'm curious if there has been active talks during the development process with the modders that have actually influenced KSP1 and with the people that played the game the most? Will there be? 2. Also, can you tell us if the dev team has used the statistical information gathered from the Unity Analytics for KSP1 during the decision making process for KSP2? 3. Can you tell us anything about the unannounced project @ Intercept? Is it related in any way to the KSP franchise? 4. Can you confirm life support features? There was a mention during the most recent YouTube Feature Video, but the subtitles "reinterpreted" what was said. How about weather visual effects? The journey planner? Anything new about requested features please?
  4. This is a great thread. Thank you - to all the modders! You have molded KSP into what it is for each of us.
  5. I'm just going to edit my comment. I don't like my honest mistake to be used as fuel for accusations.
  6. We've seen in game footage or photos of KSP2 before. It's not my fault KSP1 looks so good.
  7. Oops.. they posted it on the Twitter / Insta accounts. Really thought it was KSP2 lmao. Should have figured when seeing the explosive parts that should not explode and the bad smoke effects.
  8. LATER EDIT: This is footage from KSP1 + mods. I thought it was KSP2 gameplay because it looks so good. My mistake! Did you guys see that we will have robotic parts (pistons) in the game? And is that an electric propeller engine?
  9. These are things you don't have to worry about if you just hide the universal time like I proposed.
  10. For Simplex, yes. Currently the first decoupler is radial, so we can only build boosters + one stage. In practice this means that we end up with SSTO type rockets in orbit at the start of the game, instead of small satellites (upper stages are not possible).
  11. Is it just a local issue or does CKAN not work with 1.12.4? Getting error "Directory ... is not a valid game directory."
  12. Just a quick comment: at the start of the Simplex progression I find that I want to build rockets with a small 0-size SRB as the upper stage, but no vertical decoupler is available. What's your opinion about moving the TD/TS-06 to an earlier tech node?
  13. That's not a short list. It has everything except the kitchen sink. What do you want to achieve in your play through?
  14. Try playing career without contracts (it's hard, but slow makes you think).
  15. Two types of races then. One is a PvP real time flight race.. if you plant a flag on the Mun before the competitor, you won. Warp as much as you can, winner is decided by "first there wins". The second is a "play when you can" space program race involving the whole process of design and tech progression. Winner is decided by in game time. I would prefer the second - you play as slow as you want in real time, but what matters is the mission time. The winner is decided thus: first one there AND in-game-mission-elapsed-time lower than the competitor.
  16. 1. First who gets there wins. 2. Even talking about having a space race means DRM-enabled server hosted multiplayer. 3. The resources example is not useful to prove any point related to multiplayer. In my opinion mining should be directly proportional to time spent in game / effort. Mining continuously while time warping breaks competitive multiplayer.
  17. No, the position you see warps with you because it's "on rails" (calculated on your PC using parameters from the server). The only issue is that your ss configuration in map viewer is different from his. So probably if you enter his bubble you sync to his state (the server state).
