IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW [Lore breakthrough]
BeastHunter replied to Kerman Von Kerman's topic in KSP2 Discussion
This has made me very excited for this. Thank you for putting the time and effort to make this! Edit: this is a pleasant surprise after three years of development producing very little, it’s very nice that there is other content under the surface.- 41 replies

I am excited for colonies. They are a game changer. I've loved surface bases and now I can take them to the next level. Edit: First comment! I wanted to comment that but given the amount of time it would take to type I didn’t want to be second due to that. Congrats in advance to the winners!

I learned the hard way, teleporting Jeb to Eloo after removing his helmet on Kerbin. Good times. -

Never thought of it this way. That does make lots of since and explains the explanation. Maybe they should add a tutorial for those on a higher age level, but it’s impossible to please everyone. -

Never said that. Used as a tool for educators, yes, these tutorials could have potential. But for anyone who buys this game probably doesn’t need to be told what a rocket is, as in the first tutorial. I find it hard to see a kid downloading a $50 game without knowing what it’s about. All I’m saying is the tutorials probably could be a bit higher level. This is a great idea. Have maybe a “basic” and an “advanced” tutorial, each covering the same basic info, while the basic one has all the humor and the voice acting, and the advanced one figs deeper into it so you know more. -

The new tutorial: ”Do you want to get to space? Have you tried using a rocket?” Everyone who paid $50 for an early access game that requires an RTX 2060 and doesn’t know what a rocket is: If a new player doesn’t know what a rocket is, this isn’t the franchise for them. -
Kerbal Space Program 2 - Pre-Release Notes
BeastHunter replied to Intercept Games's topic in KSP2 Dev Updates
Aw man! There go the two parts to Minmus videos! Minmus or not, that is the one engine I cannot live without. I event built my first SSTO by strapping wings and fuel tanks to one. It will be sad to see it go. And unless it's the engine plates, I'm not sure where the "improved flexibility" of the new engine systems comes into play. -
Kerbal Space Program 2 - Pre-Release Notes

Yep, got me there. I meant to say features, unless it’s a good idea to scream at the dev team to stop everything and make fully animated and ground creatures on Kerbin in a space game. I assume they just spent lots of time on the features added later during early access. However, I’ve warmed up to the game some more after watching about two hours of all the preview event videos. -
I create hundreds of thousands of hills and distribute them evenly, causing everyone to own multiple hills. With everyone owning plenty of hills, nobody attacks other hills, and the demand for weapons and other supplies goes down. This drives arms factories out of business, causing economic collapse in this militant hill-fighting world, and hill-owners lose their jobs. The economy collapses, driving all the hills into anarchy, and they all fight and destroy each other and their hills, leaving nothing but me and my hill. My hill.

Correct, however in another video, the surface textures far exceed modded KSP1 in my opinion. While ground scatter is not as frequent, I for one believe that there is a huge graphical improvement because of the redesigned, rather than updated celestial bodies. I could be wrong as I will likely have to use medium graphics.

Fellow G16 user, I see. I can run parallax, Eve, scatterer, and astronomers visual pack with 8k textures and optional Kerbin textures at 40-60 fps. The system says that the GPU is at 100% despite this. I estimate it should run low-medium quality at a decent framerate.

Kerbal Space Program 2 - Pre-Release Notes
BeastHunter replied to Intercept Games's topic in KSP2 Dev Updates
Very good point. I am buying it launch day with the assumption that the game will get better. I’d rather buy an unfinished game at a lower price and play around with some things in it than wait longer to buy it at a higher price. It just makes me wonder what parts of the game took three years to deliver this product. -

Three years of work and airbrakes don’t work. I like the new VAB but the lack of features after so much delays is incredibly disappointing.
