  1. So you need to move it to the side, instead of having it like that from the start.
  2. Because you need to see where you land, that's the main argument for navball to the side. IVA, you don't see much of the exterior either way.
  3. Again, real life and a game is not the same thing, especially since we are talking about a third person view, the cockpit that is modeled in ksp2 also have a navball at the center. And reminder that your altitude is based on your command pod, so you can't really see how high the bottom of your craft is from the ground by just looking at the navball.
  4. I don't see how that's an argument for or against navball at the center. If you don't look at anything other than the navball in space then if it's at the center or to the side is irrelevant. And cases where you don't look at only your navball is when you're flying a plane or landing, thus it's exactly the same thing. I think people prefer it because it's muscle memory (and nostalgia) from ksp1, if it was at the side since the start, I think very few people would have put it at the center.
  5. As I said, they do plan to give you the option to move it so saying you can move it in ksp1 is irrelevant. Even on bigger resolution, having it at the center is bad, offsetting to the side will always be best.
  6. Because you have a limited screen view, very much different from your eyes which can see a lot more than what's on a screen (and that's why ultrawide are popular). The navball at the center do clutter the view, especially when you're trying to land on ksp, in real life you don't have a third person camera so that's why you won't see it. I see no reason to place it at the center, you generally don't have such a narrow view that placing it at the center has to be necessary.
  7. Real life UI and game UI are not the same thing though. And you can't convince me that navball at the center was a good choice in ksp1, it was just blocking your view, they made a good decision by moving it to the side. Maybe if your screen is an ultrawide I can understand you complaining and that's why them giving the option to move it would be a good thing (which they said they will), but saying that it's bad is just nostalgia over ksp1 (or bad faith). I'm not playing MSFS, but all I'm seeing from the UI is not something blocking your view at the center of the screen: (Obviously not talking about the cockpit view because we don't have that yet)
  8. @Abelinoss, moved your bug report out of the archive.
  9. @Meb Kat, merged your bug report. Another one with no AMD specs. It seems like people with no AMD are affected only on Jool.
  10. Reported Version: v0.1.5 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 10 | CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700 CPU @ 2.90GHz | GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 | RAM: 16GB Steps to reproduce: Place a part Pick EM-500 "Hotplate" Try to place it while your cursor is on another part You can place it only when you move your cursor is aiming at nothing. It's also not working when your cursor is on another part different of what you are trying to attach to. Video evidence: 2023-11-05 22-52-32.mp4
  11. Reported Version: v0.1.5 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 10 | CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700 CPU @ 2.90GHz | GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 | RAM: 16GB I can confirm that my game just froze because of this, I was forced to close it. There might be some memory leak somewhere. Result when I press launch:
  12. @Scarecrow71, merged your bug report.
  13. Someone sent me a craft that had a similar behaviour: 2023-11-01 22-59-43.mp4 It seems like it's related to fairings and docking ports, but I didn't succeed to pinpoint the problem. (From what I've tested it only happens after 70000m) Here the craft file: KSS Duct Tape.json
  14. That's a great idea! I try to share bug reports that are important (in my opinion) on the discord, and sometimes it works, but sometimes there are gamebreaking bugs that get only 2-3 upvotes and that I'm sure a lot of people encounter. I don't know what's the best way to "advertise" them a bit. Maybe we can select bug reports that has not a lot of upvotes but that we think are gamebreaking at the end of each KERB report. Different one each time. Maybe Bug Hunters can select those? As we have to check bug reports often and knows the ones that go unnoticed but shouldn't. Obviously, this is just to "advertise" those bug reports, and not to show a status.
