N E W S F L A S H ---------------------- The Kerbal technicians are working frantic to prepare for the upcoming launch. The launch vehicle has been moved to the launch platform and the countdown has commenced. The Kerbonauts are on board of their capsule for the final systems check. They are quite anxious to get underway. An unconfirmed rumor states that one of them had a brief (unforseen) comment during a conversation with ground control. The comment was 'M A M M Y Y Y Y Y !!!'. We\'ll report further details as they unfold. N E W S F L A S H 2 -------------------------- A spokesman for the KSA has denied the above rumor. None of the Kerbonauts has cried 'M A M M Y Y Y Y Y !!!'. (A usually well informed source within the KSA has said it was 'M O M M Y Y Y Y Y !!!' ) N E W S F L A S H 3 -------------------------- This afternoon the countdown was stopped for several hours due to a malfunction in the capsule. A senior official commented: 'This time the sh.t really has hit the fan! Careers will be broken because of this. Fortunately the mission doesn\'t have to be scrubbed, only the capsule'. The malfunction in the sewage system was caused by the reverse fitting of a draining pipe. Countdown has now resumed.

Enjoy! They look smashing! (perhaps not the best choice of words). -

Make that eight. This approach would certainly be the most interesting (and probably the most difficult to fly). In practice it probably would be very (/too) expensive to operate in comparison to non-reusable rockets. -
this is a topic for all them crazy dutch/belgian people !

O.K., your the designer. Only .... what does a satelite do with landinglegs? -

Consider redesigning the Ãnternal landing legs as well. It may be the angle of the render, but they seem to be just long enough for the smallest rocket motor. Larger rocket engines extend probably more than the landing legs. Consider a 3 part leg instead of a 2 part leg. -

When you post a replay, you will notice a radiation symbol on a button. click on that button. You will see the words spoiler /spoiler between [ and ]. Put whatever you want to post as spoiler between those two words. -
I have to agree with Vlad. The video is so cramped with information, it is hard to grasp. The pause button doesn\'t provide much help with that. The video seems more like a reminder of all the functions to those who already know blender than help a complete novice learn some tricks of the trade. It happens often that i have to replay the video several times just to find where a particular button is located (and then i still have to find out which option of a following menu i have to choose). The video is good, no doubt about it, but the pace is much to fast for a n00b. But on the positive side: This evening i finally have learned something about Blender from this tutorial and several others (YAAY!). One question though. Can you use a duplicate of the shape you\'ve made for the collision thingy?

An educated guess, the Energia- XS Surprise consists of the energia and six liquid fuel boosters? -

What is the purpose of the extending parts (of the solar panel) They don\'t seem to have any function, so deleting those would already bring the poly\'s down (a bit). -
N I C E ! ! ! The plane brought a big smile to my face. It is a rather unconventional design but seems to fly quite stable. The only put off is the sound (effects).

Very nice work! While your still working on it, could you please, please, please cover the landing legs in such a way that the landing legs aren\'t visible as such when launching from the pad. When you\'re building a rocket, you always have to stick those legs at the side of the rocket. And that looks just awful! Now that you\'re clearly working on animated parts, it would be very nice if you could keep them covered in a shroud or fairing (or whatever it\'s called) which keeps them hidden until used. It would make them the best landinglegs available (imho). -
It doesn\'t sound ridiculous, only .... somehow it reminds me of Marvin, the android of the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation. ( ;D )

Your not the only one who lacks knowledge of Blender and such, ddavies425. Sofar, i\'ve tried so many times to build a part, but i still haven\'t had any luck with it. I like the idea of a HAL 9000 MechJeb. Frankly, i would have called it a KEL 9000 but that\'s my twisted sense of humor. I\'ve downloaded it and I will try it out later this evening. Looking at the screenprint, it gives me hope that i will be able to succeed someday (in the far, far future i\'m afraid). I will report back on the functioning of the part as soon as i\'ve tried it.

Looking at the pictures, i wonder. Why do you restrict yourself to 7 Kerbals? If you build the pod just a little bit higher, you have plenty room for 18 Kerbals (or 17 if you want to grant the controling crew som extra handling space. It would mean that this pod is suitable for rescue missions. -

Most likely the plugins are in the wrong subdir. (perhaps in ...\plugin instead of ...\Plugins) -
Strange! I would have expected the temperature to drop rapidly above a certain point causing a rise in density. (I probably compare it too much to earthly conditions).
-
Doesn\'t the temperature play a role as well in the density?
