Granted. You learn to play the recorder, and become an expert at making it produce the most ungodly screeching sounds ever let loose by a human being. People are so enthralled by the noises it makes that they come for miles for a concert- only to leave with their ears bleeding because you missed a note mid performance. I wish it was cooler out.
-
Granted. It exists in your stomach, greatly restricting the choice of available inputs, while the outputs are quickly reduced to unusable by natural processes. I wish it was warmer here.
-
I press a magic moderation button and a mist of nanobots is dispensed, cleaning up the toxic and radioactive waste to restore the hill to its proper natural beauty, green and grassy with a few trees and lots of craters left over from battles gone by. At the top of this hill a flag is raised- this hill is now mine.
-
Granted. But the tar greatly increases the amount of heat absorbed from the sunlight, making earth's surface so hot the tar melts and catches fire. I wish I had a better car.
-
Granted. This results in a gamebreaking paradox, so a moderator edits your post to wish for something else and bans you for making a bad wish. I wish it was warm outside.
-
Banned because you've been posting here too much. Back to work.
-
Granted. You get shot in the back by the medic, who is in fact a spy. I wish it was warmer here.
-
Effectively immediately the hill is mine. And it shall be peaceful, with tall grass and small animals. Perhaps a tree or two.
-
Banned because the nexus is overrated by a lot.
-
Banned because RESPECT MAH AUTHORITAH!
-
I laugh like a madman as the guidance system of the SRBs malfunctions and they instead home in on the VAB, where as their builder you were watching with binoculars for the moment of glorious victory.
-
Granted. But your bus breaks down and you have to walk home, during a blizzard. I wish for a robotic minion.
-
Prepare ship for Banhilation.
-
*plants a tree on top of the hill* Behold! The hill is now environmentally friendly.
-
Banned because rocket engines are usually very bright and blow the darkness away.
-
Get off my lawn. *launches fireworks from the hilltop*

Fun fact: The multiplayer plugin KMP initiates its connection from a window that pops up when the game reaches the main menu. If you don't want to play KMP you can simply close this window and play the game normally. I would imagine from the way they are describing stock multiplayer it will take the form of another option on the main game menu, and if you go into the existing sandbox or career modes it will not bother you about it again until you go back to the main menu.

Not necessarily. There's no really good solution to this, as they all have drawbacks. Squad tried the silent treatment, people got just as frustrated and upset until they had to come forward and talk again. The best solution to date seems to be the compromise, simply thinking through what is said but making sure to provide regular press releases when they can do so. Some communication is necessary so people don't feel like the developer abandoned them. What is problematic is forming a hypetrain for a feature that isn't even written yet. Sure they can talk about it all day, but pitching it like they are certain they will causes problems when they realize that implementing it is not nearly as easy as they hoped. Its rare enough for them to actually publish a release date- they have not done this in a long time due to the problems it caused, and yet the current published plans call for a release of 0.23 on 2013-12-17. Either way, less than two days till the update comes out. The developers do have their own image for how KSP should be, and to date they have stuck to this fairly well even if not necessarily in any particular order. It would be nice if they factored in some feedback, and they do a fine job through the play-testing group during the experimental program. But by that point in a cycle the features are implemented as fully as the release, and they are just checking for bugs as well as providing last minute balance changes if the testing group identifies a particular issue.

NovaSilisko probably can't and shouldn't be giving a lot of detail on what the envisioned resources would have been like due to it having been created while he was acting under a nondisclosure agreement with Squad. Although having talked to him at the time it really would have been incredible, but been very time consuming to develop and confusing to play with. We never got to the subject of how tedious it would be.

I would gladly take this risk. Please do come on my KMP server. Honestly I would rather see stock resources over stock multiplayer purely because when developing a protocol for a purpose you need to factor in feedback on how it is being used and what kinds of issues people see with it. Squad has quite the reputation for not taking this into account, while a modding group working on multiplayer is working much more closely with the community and can respond a lot more quickly to community interests and needs when developing the client and server. As it is KMP already has problems with griefing, to the extent that a prior version was actually the target of a DoS attack that rendered the KMP server unusable until an admin reset it.

Hopefully stock multiplayer has similar behavior to the popular mod KMP, wherein tech-savvy users can operate their own servers using the provided software to create small communities focused around these server operators and their capabilities. I know my KMP server at publickmp1.kerbalspace.net usually has people on it, when the software hasn't bugged out and run it out of RAM anyway. It tends to use a lot of that. It is likely that there would be lists of public-access multiplayer servers. I should start coding a system to manage such a list.

Move over buddy, I've got plans for this hill. *flag planting selfie* About time I check in to find the hill still more or less intact.

What has got you interested in science?

Off-topic and rule violating posts removed. Please stay on topic and comply with the forum rules, posts discussing religious matters are not allowed due to their sensitive nature and conflicting ideals leading to problems. I really don't remember what originally got me started into the sciences. As far back as I can remember I was always observing how the world works and performing simple experiments using household materials. I used to do a fair amount with biology and plant materials research, but over time that gave way to combustion research, computers, and mechanical engineering. Quite possibly it was my love of steam power that caused the change. -
I tested for this to see if it was necessary to submit a bug report about improper relativistic behavior. Nothing at all happens in KSP when exceeding the speed of light. Its just another number on the velocity indicator. Also that MET is at 1x without warp of any kind, and the engines are nonstandard. Oh and that little white spot behind the ship is actually the sun. As best I can tell, no relativistic phenomena are implemented of any kind. In KSP the speed of light is not an unbreakable barrier beyond which strange things happen.
