  1. With enough reaction wheels, anything is possible.
  2. ^ Your rover reminds me of something... It's not a mod craft in 0.21, but it has parts from KSPX:
  3. Since it uses a staged combustion cycle, it should be heavier. I think its mass should be increased to 0.15 tons.
  4. Higher cost and late availability. It's powered by a staged combustion cycle after all. (whereas the 24-77 probably uses a gas generator).
  5. The Saturn V took longer than the N1. There were actually two versions of the Saturn V. The first one was build back in 0.18, and the second in 0.20 - that's about 6 months apart! I was figuring out the technique of making the tanks bigger in the first version and it wasn't that good. While building the second version, I realized that I can use cubic struts and solar panels to make mini fairings in which you can see between the stages of the rocket. I built and tested the N1 within an hour. If you turn off part clipping, you can tanks radially on a tank and rotate them into the center tank. On the N1, I simply made a core out of trusses, rotated the tanks 180 degrees, and put tanks around it.
  6. It's on a roll with Delta rockets today. Delta IV Heavy with 4.63 ton payload to 75km orbit (with fuel to spare).
  7. I didn't get pissed off, I just try to one-up anyone who tries to one-up me. It's a bad habit, but I can't help it. But for the record, it's actually pretty front heavy when loaded and requires hidden lifting surfaces to keep the nose up.
  8. It's powered by a combination of Basic jets and Turbojets, to make it more afterburning-turbofan-like. The jet weighs more than it looks.
  9. If the base size is 1.25m (1.25m center tank, 0.625m boosters), then it's "pico".
  10. Nerfing the 48-7S will probably upset many people (including me) who rely on its efficiency over the other small engines. C'mon, I've been waiting for this engine to be stock ever since Claira was added to the team.
  11. Updated the Delta II: Now with 9 boosters! Probably the first 9 booster delta II in KSP too. Also, Delta II with a 2.5 ton dummy payload:
  12. I tested my Delta II by lifting a 2.5 ton payload to orbit:
  13. I did something like that a while ago with ant engines: The launcher looked like this: The plan was to dock the interplanetary stage to the little sample capsule and then fly home (you can see the parachute between the skycrane and IP stage).
  14. I think its performance is actually pretty on par with the LV-909. I don't think it's overpowered at all.
