  1. I like small rockets too. Here's my latest Duna rover: I'll make an album soon.
  2. There are too many dark basins, but that's because the procedural craters are always generated with them. There should be two types of procedural craters instead of one. Edit: From this view, it looks fine. Although a little too dark.
  3. Has anyone here ever done a legit gravity turn?
  4. I made a Scout that can send a small probe to a 80km by 800km (probably more) orbit with 20 degree inclination.
  5. This is what I wanted: Buttons when you right click the SAS or command pod that allows you to make the SAS ignore certain axis. In my case, I need the SAS to keep my wheels on the ground by maintaining the pitch and yaw, but I want it to ignore the roll so I can turn (a lot). The roll can be reactivated if I want it to maintain its heading (like what Brotoro said.).
  6. *Facepalm* Read.The. Last. Sentence. Please. Fine, I'll underline it, size=4, and put it at the top.
  7. Everyone's overlooking the last and most important sentence: Meanwhile, I had to tap q or e after I turn.
  8. So, I've been using SAS to keep my rover's wheels on the ground and I noticed something that may have been overlooked. The current SAS system lacks the ability to allow the rover to turn (roll, in this case) and then lock on its new course. There should be options that allow the player to disable the SAS' correction for roll, yaw, or pitch so you can turn your rover without it trying to it turn back. Straight, no SAS roll input. When I turn, it tries hard to correct it. It turns it back.
  9. I did a flyby of the Mun as soon as I got 0.21: It's beautiful.
  10. I noticed something while I was trying to bring back the old ASAS. The new SAS overrides the ASAS' input and renders it useless. I had to remove the SAS from the probe core's config for the ASAS to work.
  11. Still not 100% satisfied with the SAS though. The probe's integrated SAS is too weak and the reaction wheels are too strong and heavy. Damnit.
