  1. Working on a Soyuz-1: The first stage is a little fat right now though. It also has the Block-I shroud.
  2. This is caused by clipping the decoupler. The only thing you can do now is to edit the save file. When you're building though, disconnect and reconnect decouplers and test every decoupler out by launching it. If there are decouplers that don't work, attach and reattach and test it again. If it automatically snaps in and it is clipped into something, attach it, detach, and try again.
  3. It's probably photoshopped. The planes look identical and there is only one plane with a vapor trail.
  4. Round two of randomness: Mainsail + LV-N = Partially nuclear Mainsail. The day I made a (tiny) stock space shuttle. Oblique wing?! Why not? Flying around KSC with something stupid. Duna missile launcher. I think there should be bonus points for awesome stock creations too.
  5. 1/10 What is that!? JK 5/10 Space and beer
  6. I'm pretty sure they do jettison the fairings to help cool the engines. The fairing splits off into three parts instead of sliding off. Last paragraph: http://www.russianspaceweb.com/soyuz_lv_stage3.html Also this: At about 2:10
  7. They do. From every Soyuz animation I've seen, the fairing splits off shortly after engine ignition.
  8. Isn't the faring around the engines in the second stage supposed to be jettisoned?
