I'd like to think that campaign is actually last priority anyway

Greatest bump of all time...

Crashtastic. Pretty fun.

I have zero lag when flying this. It gets laggy when I add all of the details, like extra nose cones, guns, etc. I also don't have any launch lag because any computer would die from KSP when one of these had just sit and compressed itself. The launch stablizers are a great way to get these things off the ground by making them sideways. Also, I have some sad news. This one will have to be discontinued. The stack-on-wing design just won't cut it now, and the physics get nuts... cannot fix it - cannot fly anymore. :< Sorry guys. However, I will be making other ones, but I need feedback. Should I put this on my 42-i thread (which the new forum just shat on, it's so messy) or make a new one specifically for these ships?

I've actually started working on a brief RL history of RP, regarding how it was put together and such. Since you are active now, I might need to hit you up with a few interviews! I just can't stop saying this but you really are the father of the roleplaying forums. Every event goes all the way back to you. Not kidding! Welcome back! (brony too? this can't get any more awesome)

[UNOFFICIAL/FANMADE] 0.17 Discussion Thread 2
Tim_Barrett replied to kacperrutka26's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Clouds? Doubt it. >The top looks like a lander. >The bottom two objects look like two detached rockets with smoke trails behind them. >The middle is a part of a rocket, and the top and bottom part, foreground and background of the center piece, are attached by ropes/wire or something. >The bottom "smoke trail" could be the sunrise/set of a side of a planet, as well as the other light marks being multiple celestial bodies behind each other, but they seem too big/close together for that to be realistic. >"Stripes" in a gas giant. >Two objects attached to a parachute, possibly boosters showing that they won't disappear in the atmosphere anymore. But my best idea is this: If you rotate the image 180 degrees, you will see a lander with a two-layer parachute, and that curve behind it is another planet/moon in the background. That has to be it, I'm sure. -
Nah, I think you are fine. Spoilers and appropriate location, so you are good. Besides, this will be the least likely place you will get slammed for that if you do. Good collection!

Limbo- how low can you go?

True, can't someone just get the record from nosediving into the ocean? -
Don't more people have nick or the equivalent than the hub? If nick got their hands on this everyone would just eat that stuff out of the palms of their hands.

You do know that you basically created RP, right? It all goes back to you and the first company.

I don't know, I just have that awesome feeling when you hit a target with a solid projectile. Beams are too slow for me. Just a personal preference I guess. The particle gun mod is also good, but has shorter range. Did I forget to mention how much I love missiles?

To kick off my new generation of battlecruisers and ships for 42-Industries, I will release updates on my opening craft celebrating gen3! So far I have the main structure of my newest transport cruiser. It is unnamed for the time being until I get the final form of it complete, so I can name it after any resemblance of real-world objects. Engines have been added, meaning it can fly at the moment, but is fairly slow with a 200m/s speed at takeoff. I'm taking suggestions, because I have decided to designate this one to the community, shaped by you guys! This will not be uploaded to the 42-i thread until I can fix it since the server update completely messed it up, if you have not noticed yet. Until then, I will work here. The medium and heavy variants might as well be in this thread too.

But they are not as awesome...
-
And I'm hoping even more that he knows why those "black squares" exist on shots in the first place...

Was anyone else kind of expecting an upside-down rocket?
-
That's hilarious. I think I need to go to the hospital now.

It really what depends kind of laptop it is. The current "thing" for the general public is to have overly thin, wide, and shiny laptops, sacrificing many important things like battery power, structural integrity, and like said, specs. KSP doesn't particularly chow down on your computer when running, but if you are using a laptop, don't think that a huge rocket will get off your launchpad with ease anytime soon. I try convincing my friends to get a good setup and pimp out a relatively normal laptop and save a lot of money for things like KSP and other games, but they don't do it. I don't know why. It's a good thing KSP is one of their favorite, because they wanted to play Planetside 2 on a mac thinking bootcamp and switching to Windows will make it lightning fast - good luck with that! xD The best thing to do when looking for laptops, given that is what you are doing, avoid the popular brands. The title is what costs the most on computers these days, so Macs and even Alienware laptops won't be your money's worth. Try searching online at your local computer/electronics store. Unfortunately you will probably not find nearly as many results for refurbished and customizable computers as you would find while looking for desktops, but hey, it's a start.

To be honest, I'd think that the target is so far away that I would prepare for the worst/longest missions. Some planets might have atmosphere, so I'll pack a parachute on every ship, regardless of what I'm heading for, just in case I get into a crappy situation or fail on my orbital mechanics. I'm not dismissing landing engines though, because what if the atmosphere is too thin?
-
Ah, derp. I see, its the grey/green squares under our title. According to your system, the combination of those two things are technically impossible. I'm probably missing something here...
-
I'm still a bit lost on what "reputation power" or "reputation level" is. How is it "measured"? Is it the title under our usernames? I can see under mine says "Flight Director". Does that mean reputation is directly related to post count? (my apologies if my confusions could be frustrating, just need some clarification here)

Not on kerbin for stacks more than two or three kerbals. Unless you made some stairs of sort. Then it's fairly possible.

42 Industries [42i] - Fighter/VTOL .craft files!
Tim_Barrett replied to Tim_Barrett's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I tried, but couldn't get a stock plane to go that fast at 2k altitude. Just not possible. And when someone does get close, it won't be a plane anymore.
