  1. I hope it is returned someday. Guess it's not a priority for the dev team at the moment.
  2. It's not from the forum, they just look similar. I noticed it too. The forum is on vBulletin. The logo they use is a stylised 'v'. In KSP, the currency "Roots" uses a stylised square root symbol. They look much the same.
  3. Seems to be working mostly fine. Scene loading seems much faster. Only having a couple of small issues. However I don't know if it's from 64bit, new Unity engine, or KSP .24
  4. I know it's semantics, but within the limitations of Unity/PhysX, I would call it a fix. If anyone is interested, the Krakensbane post is here... http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/entries/12-Krakensbane
  5. EVA while falling in the atmo in order to re-pack a chute. Fine, provided the little Kerbal does not lose his grip... but they always do!
  6. Yeah, the game style has certainly changed, for the better. Something from Reddit... ... i'm suffering from a bit of VAB fatigue though.
  7. Rolling in Roots. However, myself and others here are all busy on the contracts treadmill, so no wonder we are all loaded. Those excess funds will be handy in building some big craft to head out further, for science and fun, rather than workin for da man.
  8. I have done the same. No Revert with Permadeath on. Quickload/save is still on, but only plan to use that for game glitches. So far one casualty - Jeb. Without revert I have had some interesting emergency powered landings (on the engine bell). They were from forgetting something in the VAB (eg. staging or missing parts).
  9. Yup - this works. I have been doing this as well. I don't think it's an exploit if there is a context menu option to run the test.
  10. Probably China. They have the money and are keen for the prestige. Home crowd will probably be the main target audience. The do not seem to be in a rush though.
  11. I say just focus on permanent LEO, with a camera and basic sensors. That is ambitious enough, affordable with some crowdfunding, and should have a good chance of success.
  12. Why not just build something and try it out? Only issue I could see is the atmosphere breaking the solar panels. It's thin, but still.
  13. The MechJeb mod does auto-staging, among other things. They are probably using that -- it is a popular mod.
  14. Hmm, yeah.... http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/38382-So-I-have-been-Rovering
  15. Some googling would probably yield some info. My guess is that it was introduced after people died in an accident, because the pilot was unfit to fly. Often a tragedy is needed to enact change.
  16. E class space station After that ordeal, I never captured any more.
  17. I like not knowing the release date. Makes my day when they drop a new version on us.
  18. Side note: If you're actually wanting to do a genuine Apollo style mission. Then you setup a free return trajectory. Then retro-burn into a clockwise orbit around the Mun.
  19. Well, good to hear to purchased the game. I highly doubt there will be paid DLC -- don't go there! A nice big Expansion Pack, or a KSP v2 is more likely.
  20. Rather than edit the persistence file to change orbital parameters, you probably want to use the Hyperedit mod. Safer and easier that way.
