In Poland, the trams are very popular with most of our major cities have them. I live in Wroclaw, frequently use public transportation, and not have a car or even a driving license, so I do not have much of a choice :-) Although your last I had a problem with what I wrote in this topic http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/82145-Is-the-contemporary-man-can-do-without-a-computer It would be nice to be able to ride the subway, but for now only our capital Warsaw has it. I like rail transport (tram, train, i only don't ride on subway so far )

Recently I've noticed that often I watch cartoons, I mean in my spare time when I do not have anything to do at the university. I'm 28 I do not know if it's appropriate that I watched cartoons, these are not new cartoons, these new with , kids are watching today, I just can not digest. I watch these on which I grew up, like Duck Tales, Chip and Dale, Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, Telespin, Animaniacs, Looney Tunes. Or my beloved "Mysterious Cities of Gold " often minimizes the window when my mom enters my room , because I felt ashamed, I think I would be less embarrassed if she caught me watching ****, than these cartoons Do not get me wrong, my mom is a wonderful compassionate woman (I really wish everyone to have such mom like my mom :-)), loving in the philosophy of Socrates, Plato, and Lao Tzu, my mom loves philosophies, often urged me to read with her Dialogues of Plato, Laozi or poems, but not Greek or the more Chinese( to be truth i would like Sun Tzu more than Laozi ) philosophy does not interest me too much. As for cartoons do not want my mom thought that her son is a moron :-) But i know that she love original Disney cartoons, she was born i late 40's. My mom once told me that she loved to go cinema for Disney cartoon, but that was expansive, and life in post II World War Poland was really hard, so she does not watch often. My mom told me that when Polish State Television, started first experimental tv broadcast, she loved to watch Disney on Public TV set on Common room in apartment block where she lived. In communist Poland not everyone could to afford own tv sets. My mom once told that with all family she watched Neil Armstrong at my aunt her sister private tv set (Poland was only country in communist block who broadcast Apollo 11 lunar landing for with your communist party first secretary Edward Gierek was scolded by Leonid Brezhnev, for spreading the American imperialist propaganda, but our First Secretary Gierek replied that Brezhnev regrets that hurt our fraternal Soviet Union, but ne could to deprive citizens of Polish, such epochal events like landing on the moon, even if it made by the U.S. imperialists) Damn It think I deviate from the topic, and I was concerned only about whether not ashamed to watch cartoons

Is the contemporary man can do without a computer, and maybe we are such that nothing can be done without a computer. I'm afraid that soon even procreation can not handle without the help of a computer :-) It's a little joke :-) I love computers but everything has its limits. Every had bad days. Today such day.happened to me I live in Wroclaw, is a very beautiful city in the southern Poland, approaching the end of the semester. Today I had a test of English language level B2 2, moreover, I do not know what my English Language course for graduate studies, I had 4 semesters of English at the undergraduate, moreover, I believe that my level of knowledge of the language is sufficient. Unfortunately, the program of study requires that we went to English. Unfortunately, today was the problem of urban transport, normally I use the trams are fast and do not stand in traffic jams, but today was the problem I reached only half the route, Than tram stopped, and before us another stop 5 trams and not going on while track was free and it was no traffic jam at all. It turned out that the computer system which manages public transport is crashed.. I had to take a taxi to be on time for the exam, it cost me 9 zł and i was late, and a lot of nerves, I was really pissed off, but i have really good English teacher, he examined me while he really don't have to do at all:-) m wondering are our Polish motorman and urban bus drivers are such idiots that they can not ride without a computer? Does your computer have them all show? After all in communist time (though I'm too young to remember it, I was born in 1986) drivers and tram drivers, do your job without a computer. Even 10 years ago did not have this system and it did just fine. These were funds from the European Regional Development Fund for infrastructure development Very Happy And today was opposite. Thus i must admit that this system really improved our mass transit, the bus and trams, are more reliable and better keeping schedule than before, especially the electronic display showing actual arrival on every tram on bus stop are really cool.

I know that this forum gathers mainly fans of Air and Space, which include also me, but I also have a fondness for sea travel, especially after seeing this:D I know it's weird and a little absurd that I want to travel on board the ocean liner, after seeing "Titanic": D But I'd would sail such ship, as RMS Titanic, it would, of course, ideal if there were any stray iceberg on the way :-) But such ships in the era of aviation is history, I love aviation, but I would like to sail such ship as RMS Titanic. But first I have to earn money, and I'm poor, but maybe someday it will happen. You can always dream :-).

Driving licence age limit vs pilot license age limit
Pawelk198604 replied to Pawelk198604's topic in The Lounge
I would like to fly even a glider, but I do not finish the course, do not even have money to enroll in a course driving license, I am a humble student living on a scholarship. Although if I could afford it I'd go for gliding course, just that it costs 10,000 zlotys, the rate driving license is cheaper costs in 1000 zł, but a lot of people goes to the test several times, my friend seemed to him five times when he was 24 years old, 19 year old grandson, my neighbor seemed to him four times before he passed. My neighbor said that it was for this that the instructor was a woman. She my neighbor, who is his grandma told me, that he told her, that is probably because he unintentionally made puppy eyes to the instructor:D The neighbor told me that because he still had some of childish charm:D who saved him from trouble many times. Bottom line many adults Poles not have driving license, because driving license school industry is RACKET in Poland, they fail you even if you made all perfect, they told that is for safety but that is ****. The real reason the make money on those who re-enroll to driving course. As for pilot license i wondering how serve is punishment if you lie about you health state to doctor in medical examination. In Poland is treated as lying under oath with can be punished up to 3 years in prison, how it look in UK,USA, Australia or Germany? I wonder if I happen hypertension pressure spikes as the 155/100 do not happen often., Although I usually elevated blood pressure and pulse a little faster than other people. whether it disqualify me from flying? Did say all to the doctor pilots or retain some of the facts for themselves:D -
Driving licence age limit vs pilot license age limit
Pawelk198604 replied to Pawelk198604's topic in The Lounge
I'm very interested in aviation, last time I checked you need to do to get a license for a glider. I was surprised that it can be done from 15 years of age, driving license requires to be over 18 years I have 28 years so this not concern me, but i was surprised. If I had the money I would go for a glider pilot training. Just do not know if the doctor from the (UrzÄ…d Lotnictwa Cywilnego(ULC))) Polish Office of Civil Aviation(Government Agency that's run all the aviation stuff in Poland) to give me medical certification. And apparently you can not lie to doctors from ULC , because if someone did that, is posiblity of criminal liability as this is trated the same as perjury in our Polish court, in accordance with Article 233 of the Polish Penal Code(which carries up to 3 years in prison) , of course, someone would have to prove it -
It does not concern me because I'm 28 years old and I can not afford either the car, or even more for a light aircraft or glider. In Poland to get a driver's license, it was enough to have 16 years. in other European countries was similar. Since the 90s the limit has been increased and now to do the driving license must be 18 years old, probably only the UK has lower age limit, 17 years old. I once read on one web portal about cars that the U.S. is in this respect ware more normal, because in America, depending on the State can do a driving course from 15-16 years of age. The funny thing is that, in accordance with the guidelines of the Polish Civil Aviation Authority in Poland for a glider pilot license PPL (G) ypu can get it when you have 15 years of life, but you can perform solo flight as student-pilot at 14, is not it strange?

As a kid I was interested in unexplained mysteries such as the origin of the pyramids of Giza. When I was a kid I loved "Mysterious Cities of Gold" when I was a little older I switched to "Stargate" which I am a devout fan, I'd love to Stargate, returned to TV. Especially "Stargate: Atlantis" which were never proper end. What's the last TV series "Stargate: Universe" is objectively I have to admit that I did not like it, I'd prefer a few more seasons of "Atlantis"

Maybe they left traces, just need to look more carefully. In any case, It would be COOL if it turned out that such a civilization really existed. Archaeologist who would made such a discovery would gain immortal fame as Heinrich Schliemann who discovered the city of Troy, or Howard Carter, who discovered Tutankhamen tomb. Only with the difference that the discovery of an ancient advanced civilization outclassed all previous archaeological discoveries, it would by necessary to rewrite the history textbooks. Not to mention what it would it be important to modern science, thousands of new "old" inventions and technology, for which there was no need to pay a penny

Do you believe in the existence of highly advanced ancient Earth civilization before our times? I mean the civilization which equaled or exceeded our civilization in terms of technology.. As a kid, I really liked the anime "Mysterious Cities of Gold " there was the story of two ancient high-tech civilization Hiva (Mu) and the Atlanteans who destroyed each other, most likely using nuclear weapons, but that has not been said clearly in the film, but was implied.

I loved play Mario Bros when i was kid-) I'm from Poland, i was born in 86. I remember when my friends parents bought him Pegasus game console, (Eastern European clone of NES) All kids form my neighborhood (including me) was jealous about it. I begged my parents to bought me it's too, My parents were initially reluctant, we never been especially rich, and it was only few years after the political transformation in Poland. in the end I got this for my 7th birthday I was delighted, I said of course, my dad and mom that they are the best parents in the world. During the holidays I played almost all the time, which pissed off my parents , Though from what I remember my mom liked the one of the games that was available at the start cartridge that came with the console. in this game it was a penguin all the way around the South Pole . But my parents did not like the game " Contra " because there was too much shooting in. During the summer vacation i occupied a TV , basically the time I walked to my friend and I played on the console and the next day he came to me , and we played at my house . Those were the good old 90's :-) But my dad did not like Mario Bros., though not completely. He did not like the soundtrack , indeed even do not blame him , as he had to listen to a few hours a day :-) One dad said that once you hear that stupid music, a blow to the Pegasus and throw out the window. And it ended up that my dad bought me for Christmas , or next birthday , I do not remember this precisely , a used TV at the market place.

I got the Achievement "Cut them ... all!" and Rostra: D I do not know whether your computer is so stupid or just playing dumb, recently fleet of 20 vessels attacked my 10 computer had a terrible bad luck because my whole fleet not counting the admiral, they were artillery ships effect was such that the computer has lost 1,200 soldiers somewhere and I 0 : D And I was afraid that I will lose the fleet because at the beginning of the indicator showed that the computer has a great advantage. This fleet built mainly with the intention of using it as a support for the infantry at capturing the coastal cities

The longest confirmed man are woman, Jeanne Calment http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeanne_Calment At the same time, I would like to improve my mistake, she died in 1997, not 2005. mea culpa -
I love KSP and Total War series. But i wonder does devs like pay game they made, i mean if you know all the technical stuff behind the game, does anybody enjoy simple pleasure of play. German Chancellor Bismarck once said, "If you like laws and sausages, you should never watch either one being made" He was referring to politics because, he was politician, but whether the same can not be said computer games ?

It's hard to disagree, the astronauts much more deserving of recognition than the "star" If only the American, Russian and European politicians was occupied with something really important, like a return to the moon before the Chinese do so, moreover, which I really appreciate. But I did not want to the Middle Kingdom, traded the Moon piece by piece, i'm joking of course. As for Kim Kardashian when i heard her surname, my first thought was Cardassian, Kim Cardassian
