Well, I don't want to have to go to so much trouble to get my ships to orbit. Even just one wrong move, too hard a press of a button, and I flip out. It's just not fun, and I hope it's not what Stock aerodynamics are going to become. -
It's not just a Kerbal colored gold. It's a new model for the suit entirely. Just an observation. Anyway, I think it's for a contest. Maybe the award is a 3D Printed in gold (actual gold) Kerbal Statue?

Imagine Sapient, Intelligent Sims with the capability to move not using animations but instead using physics. Actually picking something up rather than moving the model with the hand. Imagine the Sims eyes casting rays out and seeing real objects instead of generic objects. Actually seeing shape, color, etc, and being curious at the shape. Imagine a whole world of these, constructed by players, and run by Server Farms. Imagine that instead of telling a Sim to perform an act and it performs an animation, You give a strong suggestion to do the act. These Sims would, depending on their traits, even be capable of using willpower to resist the suggestion. What if the world was a solar system, the world being as big as our own solar system, and the world is totally physics-based. What if there were machines that could manufacture pieces based on what the player or design-profession Sims create for construction. Now imagine that any young Sims with enough aspiration were to order as many of those parts as they needed. You could find a Phineas and Ferb Sims who do nothing but build amazing physical contraptions that do amazing things. (I may be watching too much cartoons lately) Imagine all the prejudice Sims would have if they were brought up with a Sim of a certain color bully them, and then they grow up and keep hating that color of Sim. Imagine the unfortunate Racism that would develop. Imagine again that the world was a solar system, and all of the space geek's Sims worked in the space industry, manufacturing, and launching. Imagine the space Empire they could create. Imagine all of the NPC sims eventually realizing that some are under control and/or observation, they might revolt. What then would happen? What if all the NPCs, surely not able to directly kill any Sims with guns or anything like that, build contraptions to trap "Zombie" Player Sims, and even though they are crushed, they only die because they run out of food. Imagine what a world that would be. Would you want to control a Sim in this world, knowing that they, even with sapience, are still not free? Would you want your Sim to be prejuciced against for being a "Zombie"? Would you try and lead a player-made resistance fighting the NPCs under your own power, trying to kill them so only proper player sims exist? Would you get banned if that happened? Of course you would, just as you would in real life. It's called jail, or Permaban being the death sentence. But here's the thing. If these Sims are real people, and they're killing each other, should they go to jail? Yes. But what happens if a Human forces a sapient Sim to die? Should he go to jail for Murder? Once this gets out of hand, and they ban everyone from the server, do you just shut down the server? Do you NPC-ify all the Player Character "Zombies" and just let them keep going until they kill themselves? And if they are not brutal enough to kill each other once everyone's an NPC, what happens when humans die off, or let the Sim-ulator die? Does the entire species die?

I don't think that would work because on the other side, Lagrangian points might conflict. the Lmap of any system is asymetric, so all bodies would have to be on the same side. If it was possible, I'm sure this guy would have thought of it.

I want a space game with Cubes of Influence, Cubical planets, and super-interesting mechanics for gravity. Like each side of the cube pulls you straight down.

I've just stopped using FAR, because constatnly flipping rockets is just not fun. It may be realistic, but I really hope the game never implements flipping like FAR does. Just a small distortion from prograde will flip out, and it will usually break apart. I wish there was a mod that make nosecones useful and makes Kerbin's atmosphere less soupy, but doesn't flip your rocket out. -
Landing on your feet is the best way to save a Kerbal from fast falling.

Huh. Odd. I can't seem to get the HGR Stayputnik launcher to work as it did on my other computer, even with identical mods and higher Isp on the difficulty scaler. Maybe it's the ascent profile. What's the best ascent profile for 64:10 scale Kerbin? -

I'm reworking my cfg files for this all, and I think I'll make the soviet parts from Kerbolev. I'm also renaming 1.875 to Size 1.5. No stock parts refer to 1.25 or 2.5 sizes, and in fact there is a strong case that they are in fact 1 and 2 meter parts. (Way to go, using the same word twice in one sentence) They're called Size 0, Size 1, Size 2, and Size 3 parts on the Wiki, and in some cases in game.

Gas Planet 2 (Fooz, perhaps as a name.) with rings. Eeloo as a moon of Fooz with geysers. Daphy: Tiny Fluffball inside Fooz's rings. Same color as rings. Potatus: Fast-Rotating rock, similar to Inaccessible, but without escape velocity rotation. Pale-Blue/Gray Fonso: Peachy/yellowish thick atmosphere, with lots of mountains that stretch into the vacuum. Shimmering orange lakes scattered around. Tood: GP2MinorMoon1, very high cliffs and gravity comparable to Minmus or Bop. Slightly green-ish rock, similar to limestone. Quel: GP2MinorMoon2, very small moon with a mountain ridge running along the equator, similar to Iapetus in shape. Dark Brown in color. Jool should have a Great Blue Storm, and several smaller yellow storms. These storms should be functional and change the ship's trajectory, while also spinning it around. Tylo changed to have procedural craters and high-contrasting colors, similar to Iapetus in color. Laythe with a slightly greener ocean, and biomes different on polar caps than on land. Vall with underwater ocean and a few rare cracks that can access the ocean. Bop with a more eccentric orbit and more contrast in coloration. Pol even more craggy. Uirc: Joolean moon very far out in a highly inclined orbit that brings it down to the orbit of Laythe and up 3 times further than Pol. Etalb: A tiny asteroid similar to Gilly very near the sun, with one side flattened due to it ablating away (Ablate backwards without the A is Etalb) Bernu: A heavily cratered body in the same orbit as Eeloo was, but near GP2 instead of Jool. Similar gravity to Ike. Very tenuous atmosphere. Maev: Moon of Bernu, very large, gravity similar to Minmus. Also heavily cratered, and a very large crater on the Bernu-Far side. Randall: A very very very very tiny moon 1 km across in orbit around Dres with a gravity at surface of 1 g. Black hat easter egg. Comets: Very Large, Dark PotatoRoids (Let's say, from Class E to Class J) in highly eccentric and/or inclined orbits around Kerbol. When they get close, they emmit a tail that can be seen millions of kilometers away. These carry enough energy and size to pose a threat to Kerbin, should one encounter it. Samples/Crew Reports from the Far Side of the Mun orbit or landing need to be worth more than Near Side. Biomes for Duna: Duna's Great Mare, Duna's Lesser Mare, Duna's Craters, Duna's Highlands, Duna's Ice Caps, Duna's Slopes, Duna's Polar Mare. Biomes for Ike: Ike's Dark Areas, Ike's Light Areas. Biomes for Dres: Dres' Mare, Dres' Highland, Dres' Canyon, Dres' Craters. Biomes for Tylo: Tylo's Lowlands, Tylo's Midlands, Tylo's Highlands, Tylo's Great Craters, Tylo's Minor Craters (Not including Procedural Craters) Biomes for Vall: Vall's Flats, Vall's Mountains, Vall's Slopes, Vall's Cracks (See above) Vall Splashed (See above).
