  1. I want more release dates, further in advance. If one's missed, a blog post with a more-nicely-worded "stop whining, making games is hard" could just be made. In lieu of that, an official release date wild speculation thread in the space lounge would be fun.
  2. You can say that if you coded MechJeb yourself. I mean, NASA just didn't download their flight computer software from a higher power, so neither should you. EDIT: Also, KSP isn't a single player game. You interact with other players through these forums.
  3. Good point. Let's also remove orbits as well, since no realism.
  4. If you message me your google account, I can add you to the rulebook and you can edit it. You can also post suggestions here, as well as on the website which is in the OP. Whichever you want.
  5. What about Pioneer? Just because you only know about 2, doesn't mean those are the only ones that exist. Oh, yeah, and Microsoft Space Simulator as well.
  6. I'd give the engineers a more clear view on what the shuttle was actually meant to do. From what I understand, the design for the shuttle was being pulled in too many directions at once and that means that it was good at nothing.
  7. Written some rules for land transport. Please reply if you're still interested. I'll be putting up the combat rules shortly, and then maybe work out how space and ground colonies will operate.
  8. It's 2050, I can't wait to watch the Ceres landing live tomorrow.
  9. That's just the TARDIS translating for you. You can only get the true subtleties in the original Kavarican.
  10. Is there a vocabulary sheet around? I wanna write some Kerbal poetry!
  11. Year 403: A kerbal jumps on top of a firework in order to get "closer to the lightning"
  12. Maybe what you do best, but I, and many others, don't do any of that.
  13. Because rockets are just ICBMs with scientific payloads, and sharing ICBMs is generally a poor tactical choice.
  14. You could, but most discussion to that end is meaningless and counterproductive (often with someone making the perceptive observation that celestial bodies that dense can't exist). Also, it turns out that very little of what we know about planetary formation applies to worlds 10 times denser than lead - who knew. Anyway, 11 times larger Laythe is how Laythe would be if it was real - part of what the really in the title meant.
  15. KSP is scaled down 11 times. Hence, everything acts as if it is 11 times larger.
  16. This times a thousand. A bunch of Gilly sized bodies orbiting gas planets would be fun. Since they don't even need names (some of the real moons of Jupiter have catchy titles like S/2000 J 11), they could be procedurally generated. It would also add new challenges, since some of the bodies have inclined or even retrograde orbits.
  17. Well, it looks like there's just been some kind of organic reset. SunJumper is the winner of round 1. I didn't really plan for one, but it would be good to give the non-large-number-enthusiasts a chance too. With that said, Sx = 10x My number is S6.
  18. You replace one neuron of your brain with a robotic version that perfectly imitates it's function. Are you still you? If so, continue. If not, then consider that neurons die and are replaced constantly, so you're technically dead. You replace one million neurons of your brain with robotic versions. Are you still you? If so, continue. If not, then at what point between replacing one and a million neurons do you cease to be you? You replace one billion neurons of your brain with robotic versions. Are you still you? You replace every neuron of your brain with a robotic version. Are you still you?
  19. Here are some rules for handling airports: Please reply, this project needs interest to succeed. Rules for ground and sea transport are coming soon - if anyone can come up with an awesome way to handle them (or any other game mechanic), feel free to. The rules draft so far is here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Z-7y4_YGPCNZLm9sLV9QAQyAurFtkwZY0UsOSqZCjrs/edit?usp=sharing
  20. I've just achieved my first orbit with this tech tree installed. I'm going to go for the Mun next, my launcher design is fairly powerful so some strap on boosters or an extra stage should be enough for a mun mission.
  21. I've been making an AAR based on this tech tree, once I put it on the forums maybe people who think it isn't awesome will change their mind.
  22. I love the idea of this, since unlike many people I like encountering problems I have to think creatively to solve. The most fun I've ever had in Kerbal Space Program was when a mission went wrong and I didn't predict it, and recovering from it successfully.
  23. That's the point of that quote. As the fourth draft of A New Hope in 1976 says, "Ben reacts to Solo's stupid attempt to impress them with obvious misinformation."
