1. I got two Whiplashes in two different nodes in my career save. Is that normal? I'm assuming the tech tree got reorganised again?
2. The game isn't really "drifting" away from it's original idea IMO. It just isn't finished... yet. I would like to see some real life space travel elements, but in a simplified form, like LS, except without all those waste products, CO2, radiation and other things. Simple "Food" resource with a greenhouse part. Also some other RL things. The third option is what I chose, of course.
3. So after the update it seems my tech tree quantum mechanic'd. The Whiplash engine is in two nodes at the same time and in one it's locked and in the other unlocked. http://imgur.com/a/NaWBq Whenever I try to launch a craft with it the game says that some parts of this vessel are locked. I'm playing through Steam so it's the latest build.
4. I really like that drone with 2 turbojets. Reminds me of this.
5.
I totally disagree, imho i think stock would be better, even for loading time. Plus if a lot of peoples are installing mods just for having different cockpits, this should make squad thinking.
Seems like I'm not one of those. I'm 100% cool with what we have in stock, but would go nuts if there was a high visibility, full-glass cockpit like in Arado 234.
6.
No thank you. It's tedious and annoying enough as it is. They need to remove "Plant a Flag" from the list, simply landing on a planet/moon should get max XP for that body. Getting every Kerbal out of the craft to plant a blasted flag just so you can take it back down again to avoid having 20 flags in the same spot is just stupid. How much do you really learn from shoving a pole in the ground?
OK, maybe the SOI thing isn't the best idea, but I'd rather complete a few harder missions in LKO and get the same amount of XP I would get at Duna than go there and go back only because I need a star, or whatever. I mean, if we really have to have it I'd rather have it work like this than going places and getting skills for doing nothing. "You went to Rome and been there for an hour. Well done! Now you know how to repair your broken car back at home!"
7.
I find getting the right mix of LF and O in spaceplanes to be an interesting challenge, I would be disappointed if they went back to the simpler system. I don't really see any benefit to switching to a single "rocket fuel" and "jet fuel", if anything it would reduce the utility of the tanks we have now.
Same.
8. Hah! That's awesome. I always liked those crazy looking WW2 German planes for some reason.
9. I think the KXP should be based on the type of missions the crew takes part in and be limited to SOIs. For example: Kerbals can get up to two stars in Kerbin SOI, but to get XP they need to complete contracts. Then if you want them to earn more send them to other planets and make them complete tasks there to get another 2 stars. The current system is kind of silly and the abilities the crew can get aren't that amazing. Just sightseeing isn't worth 5 stars.
10. Meh. I'd rather have their doors redone to slide open/closed instead of this "Imma bash everything in mah way" doors.
11. Oh man! Not the aerodynamic overlay! I'm calling the internet police. WEOWEOWEOWEO I once used F12. My mother doesn't call me anymore after she had heard what I did.
12. I never understood why this mod never got fully released and always stayed in the add-on development subforum. Always works fine and I consider it fairly balanced. One of my favs. Expect an avalnche of rep points from me if that cool effect gets included in the next version.
13. That's incredible. I just hope someday we get this in stock and will be able to throw stuff around and watch them spin and float in zero G.
14. Perfect for docking if you don't use any of those docking cam mods.
15.
At least one 2.5m LF Fueltank. In my opinion, such a thing should be in game since they changed the LV-N to use liquid fuel only.
Fuel tweakable to choose the type of fuel they carry would be better.
16. Check my sig. It carries up to 6 crew to LKO. You can also squeeze a small probe somewhere in there if you're creative. Should work fine in 1.0.5.
17. KAS-like activities (strutting the hell outta things) would be a nice and realistic thing to have in this case. I mean, when there's a cargo rolling into the plane's cargo bay there are people who secure it. We need those fuel hoses anyway, so why shouldn't they serve as struts too?
18. I don't know about you guys, but I'd rather breathe fresh air instead of smelling burnt cables and plastic bags every night during winter.
19.
That doesn't sound right. Do you have a link and time-stamp to where he says that?
I don't. But it's the one where he finally gets the Alcubierre ring, or however it's called and goes to Dres. I'm on mobile right now so it's not very easy to post is here.
20. Oh so it's a feature? I thought my camera was bugging out btween the frames and the game thought it was pressed all the time. I like it. I use the same way to look around the cockpit in War Thunder, though it might be sometimes annoying in external view.
21. The wings look very similar to what some people create with B9 pWings.
22. In his Interstellar Quest Scott Manley mentioned that when going near the speed of light you can send messages into the past. How does that work? Does the radio wave get in front of the warping ship and reaches twice the speed of light, or something?
23. Yes, please. Also alarms when there are low dV transfer windows for other planets.
