  1. I agree. I actually liked the old way we could get rid of the fuel through engines even though I got in trouble many times because of that. It needs to come back.
  2. I wouldn't go so far to fully implement both of those packs. The nuclear jet looks really nice, but do we really need more nuclear engines? Inflatable base modules on the other hand, are something I would love to have. Using hitchhikers or the mobile lab in horizontal position on the surface is pretty bad.
  3. I still think Xenon should be mineable using ISRU. In my opinion it would be a great way to obtain cash if you consider the contracts silly. Still waiting for the air intakes to have ISRU uses. Maybe Xenon could be obtained from air on some bodies like Laythe, Eve or Jool? I don't care about oceans.
  4. Whaaaaaa...? This thing is an actual SSTO?
  5. I had Bobski Kerman, or something like that once. There aren't many names in KSP that we, people of Boland, consider funny.
  6. Wings that are twisted. EDIT: Look at the missile on the wing tip and how the angle differs compared to the angle of attack: EDIT 2: It's also called 'washout' it seems. EDIT 3: OK, NEVERMIND! I know how to make another kind of washout on wings, but I wouldn't mind if it still got added.
  7. Could you add twist parameter to the wings in next release, or is it not planned?
  8. Not sure how the occlusion will affect probes, but I would be fine if it simply disabled the pilot skills and science sending. Not being able to plan nodes when occluded would suck tho.
  9. Yeah, I was talking about changing the icon that looks like the MK1-2 capsule to something that looks like Apollo's CSM, not replacing it with plane icon, or something. Ship icon
  10. I always imagined a MK3 ramp that would stop when it hits a solid body. Basically how the landing leg's shock absorders (I couldn't find a better word for them) work, except it would automatically lock itself after touching the ground, buldings, anything solid.
  11. For planes and interplanetary vessels. I wouldn't mind if the default icon for ships got changed to something resembling Apollo's service module, instead of a single capsule.
  12. I don't normally reply to these threads, but if we ever get any more planets added one of them should be named 'Alternis' in honour of the great mod that NovaSilisko once created. Alternis. The God of change.
  13. The third question is worth answering. I would love to know, but I'm afraid it has a fixed animation where it just lowers itself to a certain point and doesn't care if the ground resists it's opening powers. Also it seems like the network system will be based on Kerbin, not KSC, so if you're anywhere near Kerbin you'll always get the signal no matter if it's on the other side of the planet, or not.
  14. Yes. Even Scott Manley suggested this in one of his videos. His idea was to have a camera module that you would aim at a certain location or a planet and depending on how much, or how big is the planet/zoom/detail, etc. you would get science based on that. I would love to see it implemented.
  15. I really like the idea actually. Having the same problem with craft list being cluttered. Apart from them being archived they could also be sold for half of the price and/or give you constant rep every week or month, or whatever, just for standing in the museum. "Look, Mom! That's X-1! The first supersonic plane. I wan't to be just like Chuck Yeager."
  16. I have no clue how to make the AI BnZ, but I'm going to agree that setting the parameters is cruicial if you want it to win. EDIT: Oooooooh, I think I know how to make it BnZ! Mwahahahaaha! Offtopic: I think I know a mod that actually added AI that was smarter and panicky when surprised from behind. Was it called Historical Pack, or something? It adds better sounds, and makes the unflyable planes flyable, me thinks.
  17. The stormtroopers wouldn't normally go there, because they consider it a silly place. Or the Emperor told them not to. That's not the point though. The point is that when you go to the store you don't buy a few pieces of this and a few pieces of that. You either buy a whole set of LEGO Star Wars, or a whole set of LEGO City. Or both, if you're rich enough. Same with ordering the parts for your ship. The conversation should not look like this: -"Hey Rockomax, can you make us a few pieces for our rocket?" -"No, but you can take some FPS barrels from our junkyard for the same price." -"k" EDIT: Oh, yeah. Forgot about something: Never used Ven's mod, but the tankbutts look super useful. And since we're getting something similar for the Goliath engine, I hope we get this for other engines too. Having Skipper on 1.25m tanks would be amazing.
  18. Whenever I build something that is long and try to adjust the thrust vector it's hard to tell if it's aligned properly. It only shows where the engines are and is pretty short. It's problematic especially when building planes. Can't see if it will flip, or not!
  19. You mean the brake rudders? I use those, but it's really hard to use them during the landing with keyboard. Eh, maybe I should try flying it with joystick. Is it the trick to flying wings, though? Just applying the rudders when slipping should be enough? Ooooh, the wing twist! Didin't think of that! Edit: Also about the engine angle: I do that too, but might think about increasing it a few more degrees.
  20. Is there any way to make a flying wing more stable without adding additional vertical surfaces to stabilize it? Seems like flying wings like to slip left and right some. I know about making it more dihedral, but maybe some other way to do that as it seems not enough? Are there any documents regarding the stability issues on flying wings like Horten? It seems like the engine housings on XB-35 were enough to stabilize it and there were vertical surfaces on YB-49 dedicated to do exactly that, but I could not find anything about Horten 229's system of stabilization. Perhaps the side slip (+asymmetrical thrust from the failed engine) killed the test pilot of 229, or were the flaps designed in such way to prevent it at low speeds? I'm asking about Horten specifically as it seems to have no apparent stabilizers at all. Will experiment with dihedral some more, but would also like to know what you guys think. EDIT: I also know about B-2's, which uses the engine thrust and nozzles (read somewhere on the forums, not sure where) to direct and cancel out the slip, but I'm using propellers, so that's not possible.
  21. I like the antennas. They look way better than those we have now, so I'm not really sure why people are complaining. Wil the new ones replace the old ones or just get added?
