  1. She'll release the code to allow this soon enough. For the moment, it's kinda a situation where if you need to ask, you don't know enough about coding to really use it properly. Wait a while, and you'll have the Official tools to allow you to create world of your dreams.   2. Is the point of the mod so that you can have multiple tanks feeding into one another simultaneously, as opposed to the single-tank the stock game offers? I am a bit unsure about what it actually does, mechanically..
  3. So, it allows you to have multiple systems flowing simultaneously?
  4. Oxygen atmosphere. Something has to be 'breathing' oxygen, since left to its own devices oxygen will eventually corrode everything on the surface, until there's no oxygen left. Think of oxygen as a very slow acid. It's possible some unknown procedure is generating the oxygen, but its one of the strange situations where 'alien life' is the simplest explanation.
  5. So, ive been playing this game a long time, and that bird tweeting sound you get when you're on the KSC screen is starting to grate. Is there any mod/procedure that allows me to change it out for something quieter, or more discreet?

  7. I got pretty much the same, approx 20 solar masses (roughly 3km/solar mass for a schwarzchild radius)

  9. What are "solid-booster fuel plugs"?
  10. For the first one, you can use the RCS build aid mod, as well as helping with RCS, it also adds a "dry CoM" so you can plan your planes easier. Helps you move stuff around to find a 'null position' where the CoM stays pretty constant.. second one, i am not aware of any mods for that. One sneaky thing that can affect the way your planes handle is that the 'landing gear' is massless currently, but the editor assumes them to have 0.5T each. You can confirm this by launching two SRBs simultaneously, one with a landing gear on top, they should fly pretty much equal.
  11. I went to land on Jool... ..and then Jool started to, uh, go away a bit... That is me slowly falling towards Jools surface, with Laythe fully visible through the side. Very strange. EDIT: It appears Jool has changed at some point: previously you 'landed' at -98m, and bounced around a lot. Now, you get to about -240m and explode.
  12. What about retrograde burns? Do those also get bonuses from high-speed situations?
  13. This is a Tylo-capable probe lander. Note that with the chute, that means this can land anywhere. Also, i don't know what happened to the sepratrons in this shot. I also have a manned land-and-return Tylo-capable craft, which takes advantage of the EAS-1 seats. Apart from the balloons and Mechjeb, all my designs are stock here.
  14. Possible but difficult. Turbofan engines (like on 747s) only work at fairly low speeds, but are efficient. ramjet and scramjet work well at high speeds, but wont work at all at low speeds. also, jet engines only work up to a certain altitude, and are expensive. effectively, thats what they did when launching the X-15
  15. Often editing like this frazzles out. You have to make sure that every reference to the oldpart was updated, and even then it sometimes doesnt work.
  16. Its an user programmable addon that allows you to write simple programs in a native language. So, potentially yes: it depends on your own coding ability..
  17. I always think of rovers as being little Dukes of Hazzard style movers, launch them off cliffs and etc.
  18. I follow a similar design strategy. Docking really opens everything up once you get the hang of it.

  20. I'm finding my Kerbin clouds are now glowing on the night side.. any way to make them darker at night? Looks a bit odd..
  21. Any mods I use need to be balanced for the stock game. All launches need to be done from ground, sitting on the engine bells. RCS should not be used for anything except docking. Designs should be made universal: able to land/whatever on any given planet. Avoid orbital debris where possible.
