  1. No dependencies. Just put the folders in the zip into your GameData folder. That should be enough. It could be that older versions of the mod are interfering or that there's some incompatibility with another mod. A screenshot of your GameData would help.
  2. No idea about ATM, but on the half-res textures OPM adds about 215 MB to KSP's memory use. Good idea.
  3. Yeah, I've never seen 0-1 RGB used anywhere else. Why Squad (as Kittopia also uses it, so it's not just Kopernicus I think) not write it using normal 0-255 RGB?
  4. I'll check it out. After a while you assume you do things right, so I haven't double-checked all biomes I've made.
  5. With its four current moons, the Urlum system is indeed done. Tal needs biomes, but those can be added at any time. The moon is so featureless, that two or so biomes is all it'll get anyway. And the banner is in need of a complete overhaul, so don't worry. Urlum won't be left out for long. Neidon's moons are indeed up after the beta.
  6. The mod just includes OPM. Any other stuff is just to make it work with other mods. If you don't have PlanetShine, the PlanetShine files in the mod won't do anything. Installation is as simple as making sure that everything in the download's GameData folder (when unzipped) is moved to KSP's GameData folder.
  7. It's not. If you generate a .bin and then change the terrain it can look different. That's why the map mod model of Ovok is still round, while the terrain is less smooth for the time being.
  8. Nah it's not the normal map. That only decides the look of the planet in map view. It wouldn't impact non map view.
  9. Yeah, that happens. The atmospheres were pretty WIP. KillAshley has made a pressure curve that's a lot better. I'll adapt it to my atmospheric bodies for Beta 2. Thanks for the heads up. That's not what I am seeing in my game, so very strange. I'll investigate for beta 2. It appears that the terrain map is not applied, nor the .bin (included with the download) model.
  10. I've vaguely heard about that problem and I do remember one planet pack having a fix for it. I'll find it and see if it works. It's Kopernicus no doubt. I'll pass it on to the devs.
  11. Glad someone is continuing metaphor's work.
  12. You were definitely one of the pioneers of the resurgence of planet packs in recent months, I'll never deny that. You helped/inspired me a great deal, especially in those early days when all of our systems were still held together by duck tape (am I glad we don't have to do RSS + Kopernicus + Kittopia anymore ). But you can't blame Eudae for being a bit pissed, since you made it seem like it was just a five minute job, while in reality he spent hours and hours on perfecting Tekto.
  13. Porkjet provided us with an initial texture, true, but the end result is much more than a simple recolor. Eudae imported the Porkjet's height map into a program called World Builder and tweaked the terrain closer to what we wanted. The color map is based on that and is nothing like the original by Porkjet. Actually took quite a bit of work on Eudae's part to get it to where it is now. A great collaboration between two great artists if you ask me. I personally like Priax more, but Tekto is a close second.
  14. Eudae55 made the texture, but as far as I know the answer is that it was not an inspiration as he never mentioned it.
  15. No repository exists. Once that version of PlanetShine goes live I'll make the necessary changes to my mod.
  16. This will be a whole lot easier once we get another official pre-release of Kopernicus, or forbid even an actual release. I think there's about three different DLLs for the three different major planet packs. OPM is pretty much planned out already, but you can always try and convince me of your idea.
  17. Notepad++ for the config editing (it's like a useful version of normal Notepad) and Eudae55 uses Photoshop plus World Builder to create the textures for the planets/moons.
  18. I've already explained that that is not the case. OPM 1.7 is not designed for 0.9 and I won't support it for that reason. If you want an official 0.90 compatible version, you need to stick with 1.6.5. I didn't know that was possible, both the .info file stuff and the .svn stuff. If you say that both are possible, then no doubt I'll be able to put them in Beta 2.
  19. That is strange. I can only recommend a truly fresh install of KSP 1.0 + a new download of 1.7 Beta 1 at this stage. Don't know how else to possibly fix this for you.
  20. A quick test gets me these numbers with half res textures: Stock: 1330 MB OPM: 1545 MB That's 215 MB extra due to OPM. Higher texture settings will cause bigger differences I imagine.
