  1. Not sure if you were a part of that discussion a while back, but here's my thoughts on KBOs aside from Pluto: they look cool on the map, but 99,9% would never visit them. A short-period comet not only has a unique orbit, a different look from other bodies (hope I can pull off a 67P like shape) and it's a realistic target for more than a fraction of the players.
  2. Did a test to see what KopernicusExpansions comet tail looked like in-game. I'm now a 100% sure what I want to work on after the Plock system is done:
  3. Very nice, stuff! You have the stock look down, so I know we won't be dissappointed.
  4. MrHappyFace, I noticed that with this mod on my rings are no longer transparent. They are in DDS format, saved as DXT5 (which has an alpha channel). If I turn this mod off, they're transparent again.
  5. Glad you separated the examples and mod so quickly. Now I can release my implementation of the clouds with the next patch without any fallout from people installing the wrong stuff.
  6. Thatmo (Triton) already has an super-thin atmosphere with limited aerodynamical flight properties and I'm not very interested to add its definining feature to Plock. That already has enough stuff of it's own, such as the binary configuration with its moon. Triton also has a thicker atmosphere than Pluto's (relatively speaking, it's nothing compared to Earth's), so if there's one body to have such a thin atmosphere it feels the most fair to give it to the Triton-analog. Already know it and already implemented part of it. Not the tail feature of the mod, since that doesn't make sense around Plock (tails only happen when close to the Sun). If we ever add a comet to the mod, we'll be sure to use this mod's tail functionality. It's too gorgeous not too! They weren't immediately obvious in New Horizons approach, so they're even fainter than Neptune's or Jupiter's. If I'm going to add rings to a non-gas giant, I want them to wow people like Sarnus' or Urlum's. It's on the wishlist, but I'm going to wait until the mod's universe is a little bit more complete before deciding on that. In the meantime, Plock's other unique features will have to do I know the moon you mean: Neso. While it's a cool concept, none of Neidon moons will have such an orbit. Adding another small irregular moon all the way out there would mean 99,9% of players wouldn't even attempt it. That's just not worth the effort. Its Triton and Nereid inspired moons are already very inclined and eccentric, presenting a challenge for even the most hardened players. Yes. Not gonna tell you though
  7. Very, very cool. Already trying the procedural clouds on my mod's gas giants. Might I make a suggestion though. Make the examples a separte download. Kopernicus has its examples outside of GameData and even then people come to planet pack threads like mine to complain about weird planets (the examples) messing up their game, because they installed the examples thinking that they needed to install them because they came with the download. Imagine how worse it would be if the examples loaded by default. Only the devs need the examples and they'll go through the effort of downloading them separately. Question, do the configs do any harm if the mod is not loaded. I.e. can I have the procedural gas giant stuff in my main Kopernicus config for these planets even if Expansion is not installed? Or do I need to write a ModuleManager config for it that only activates if your mod is found?
  8. Was mentioned as being worked on by Porkjet. Can't remember where, but I definately remember him or a dev mentioning it.
  9. I just want to say that I could not be more impressed by this. Immediately makes me want to make big space stations so that I can explore them from the inside.
  10. It wouldn't be part of this mod. If I do it, it's going to way into the future. Enough stuff to do within the Kerbol star system
  11. My suggestion: Harvster Gap. Sounds like the KSP dev, fits Sigma's cool harvesting theme suggestions, and its an actually possible name that a Kerbal could have (Harv + ster is possible)
  12. I've made all naked eyes bodies discovered, just like we already knew all the planets up to Saturn for millennia (since you could see them with the naked eye). Minmus would also have been spotted since ancient times, since it's close enough to be noticeable even to cave Kerbals. I think it's a nice mix between having lots of unexplored stuff, but also already giving players an inkling of what's out there.
  13. Didn't realize it needed compatiblity. I do indeed see some planet/moon related stuff in Scansat's configs. I'll see what I can about adding something for that in the next update.
  14. Just noticed that OPM has just past a combined 70,000 downloads on KerbalStuff and Curseforge! I never noticed it passing 60K and 50K was only about a month ago, so that's pretty amazing. I'm glad so many people are enjoying our mod. Everytime someone posts some shot of Sarnus or Tekto on Reddit it always fills my heart with glee. I'm currently quite busy IRL, so no ETA on Neidon's moons yet. Once RL pressures subside I'll get back to those ASAP.
  15. Lajos you are discovering things that I never knew about. Like the depth of that crater.
  16. All landable bodies should have resources. Only resource setup I did was exclude certain bodies from having resources (like the gas giants for example). That's how normal KSP does it as well. @Sigma, that's probably a result of polar pinching. On Tekto a similar technique was used on purpose, but on Wal it probably wasn't intentional. Good find.
  17. Yep that's it I have to say you couldn't have gotten a better image with it, with that dust and all. Well show me, because I don't know of anything other than this. Easter eggs left behind by dev goofs or engine quirks are the best, as they're easter eggs even to the devs
  18. Never heard of that. I'll try to look into it. On a different note, a month or so ago I announced that there was a big easter egg to find in OPM. Sadly it either flew under the radar or no-one was able to find it. Since an easter egg is useless if no one knows about it, I'm going to narrow it down: the easter egg is in the Urlum system. Go and find it people!
