1.5.5 will update to the latest version of KopernicusTech and also convert to a modular approach, which will make it compatible with other planet packs and will also allow us to move back to the better DDS texture format. Aside from that and Ovok, the other big thing is biomes and science blurbs for Tekto. And of course a whole lot of little or less exciting stuff, tweaks and the like. Polar rings would just look weird and would do a terrible job of replicating Uranus' axial tilt. It'd also be very unrealistic as rings only form along the equator. Until Squad can add in axial tilt, there's nothing else I can do. - - - Updated - - - Comments such are these are about the biggest compliment we can get. I'm glad you liked the mod.

Launch umbilicals
CaptRobau replied to GBLAKEM1999's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
FASA has launch clamps that work like that I have to say they always make the launch look better. So I say yes to do this. -
Yes, go with KopernicusTech. It's supported and is much more RAM friendly and as versatile as PlanetFactory.

If they don't show up, something's wrong . To find out what I'm going to need a few questions answered: 1. What OS are you running? 2. What version of KSP do you have installed (32 or 64-bit)? 3. Could you post here or PM a screenshot of your GameData directory? 4. Did you install the mod through CKAN?

The Kerbal Engineer problem has become less frequent with 1.5 and newer, but it still happens for a few people so I left it in. I say try it on a new sandbox save and if it doesn't happen you can use the mod combination in your normal saves. Careers don't need to started fresh to work with OPM. I'd back it up just in case though. Thank you. Never tried landing on any of the gas giants however. It's difficult on Jool and I already know the result. Tekto's apparent atmospheric density is caused by the moon's low gravity. This means you're not pulled down as much and as such you slow down much more easily than in Kerbin's atmosphere. This low gravity also influences the height of the atmosphere. Because the gravity is low, the atmospheric gases aren't pulled down to the moon as much as they would on a larger planet like Kerbin. As such the atmosphere extends farther out. This is all based on Tekto's inspiration, Titan. It has those same atmospheric quirks that I just explained.

Thanks for spreading the word. - - - Updated - - - Thanks. It wasn't that much trouble, so don't worry about it. - - - Updated - - - For the next update of OPM we want to add biomes to our latest moon Tekto, the Titan analog orbiting Sarnus. We liked the crowd-sourced process a lot, so we wanted to do that again for Tekto. So if you have the time or the interest, we'd love to see you drop by and contribute. This is how it works: Below is a link to a Google Docs spreadsheet. This has four sheets. Info and Moon Background can't be edited and are designed to help you. They contain biome maps, moon backgrounds, etc. Everything you need to write the science descriptions. The Blurbs sheet is not important, its the Tekto Blurbs sheet where you submit your descriptions for Tekto's science descriptions. It should all be pretty straightforward. Ideally we'd rather have you fill out empty situations instead of writing a blurb for a situation that already has a blurb, but if you have an description that's just too amazing, there is room for a second description. Here's the link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1J_xgrPoqJSqvvdzgOqNlwmj0aabSVGda8hZLRu9VhsE/edit If you have questions, you can always PM one of us two.

Thanks for taking care of that. I've tried a few time to get a CKAN test file to work, but because it has a lot of odds and ends, instead of a single folder, it never worked. Who do I contact about removing the CKAN badge from KerbalStuff until it actually works? I have no issues with CKAN and would love to have it compatible, but I get far too many questions about things not working because that KS CKAN mention that for the moment I'd rather have it gone. - - - Updated - - - The OPM license allows it. He used to include my entire mod into his download, but I asked him to remove that as that was just unnecessary weight and could only lead to people coming here with questions about that mod. But he fixed that in recent updates, so I'm okay with it now. I'm not getting any people here that are mistaking his work for mine, so until people start bothering with questions about that mod en masse I don't even mind him using the name (since its pretty descriptive).

Thanks it works. Helpful to know is that you need to write the amount of pixels and then add px to the end. So if you want a 800 pixel wide screen you'll need to put it in [ytpl=800px]
