Wrong post. Bad potato.

You mean the branch that killed the sr 71 because they were afraid that the navy would get it? Yeah... Don't forget the old airforce habit of ejecting at the first sign of trouble . You know, the cornfield bomber. Since I live in san diego, go navy!

I've been drowned off in AP homework recently... ...but that doesn't prevent me from introducing my own vehicles! I might go on a phantom works building spree! PS: I'm attaching rocket pods and missiles to the F-18. EDIT: I downloaded BD armory. Looks like my F/A-18 carries a huge payload without breaking a sweat. Bye bye target.

Hehe. My military was quite busy since our last meeting. But now, I have an AP world test and chemistry test tomorrow. XD XD

K-29B bomber + Y-38 fighter (stock props)

This is a k-drive on steroids with a shot of Kelly Johnson. (Or Tupolev, if you know the story behind the the T-4.) -
Always restrict the thrust to zero on your engines in the VAB and SPH, or else you'll see an overheating fireworks show. PS: You can't throttle due to the restrictions of the unity engine. You have to control it by manually opening your computer case and regulating the cpu voltage with a car battery and two jumper wires.

The USS Wasp, my precursor to the USS Nimitz. This prototype is not easy to complete. Also, the two cockpit AV-8B R2. This new revision has hidden VTOL engines, better aerodynamics, and better handling. These modifications are for carrier ops on the USS Wasp and eventually the Nimitz. Harrier squadrons will serve trial deployments aboard the USS Wasp.

I love the militarization of space! I'm embarking on further naval militarization by making an USS Wasp, or at least when I have time.

My midair refueling labs died a long time ago. Also, the super hornet is receiving some updates for carrier ops. -
I tried to make this missile and VTOL as easy to use as possible. To recover from a harrier spin, you have to maneuver pretty aggressively. I guess you'll gain more flight time as you play more. Guided missile intercepts are the holy grail of my SAM program. I mitigated the balance issue by having a dedicated weapons officer in the jump seat. AV-8B. PS: I won't change the wing angle. It screws with the aerodynamics, but I'm improving some other aspects.

I must've practiced with my plane too much. I don't find the deficiencies of the missile-firing weight distribution as serious as you said. Also, controlling the missiles is not as easy as the exocet. I shot a F/A-18 out of the sky, and the 90 degrees turn can't be avoided. Turning the probe core doesn't change the starting orientation. Also, I considered angling the wings down more, but the aerodynamics got a bit wonky. I tried to optimize this design, but the game itself limits some of those abilities. PS: I have the AV-8B revision. I'll try incorporating as many of your suggestions as possible, but even Zekes hit an airborne target with this missile.

Nice replicas! I want to see a confrontation between my Super Hornet and your Su-27. PS: I have a revision 2 of the harrier. I guess vtols are in style now. Download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4toqaxj4661kd9s/AV-8B%20R1.craft?dl=0 -
My thought of the most effective solution to those attachment issues is a full body prosthetic. Of course, unless they need it, or have no alternative, I doubt they'd choose it. Also, large straps to hold limbs in place? Have you seen the the advances in bio compatible and artificial skeletal engineering recently? If anything, the first augmentations will be minimally invasive, such as bone reinforcement through titanium foam, or brain implants for network access. http://www.fraunhofer.de/en/press/research-news/2010/09/titanium-foams-replace-injured-bones.html

USMC Marine Corps. Buying jets made to kill since WW2. This is their premier CAS (close air support) aircraft. The AV-8B revision is in the works. I got a new jump jet VTOL harrier. It's rather maneuverable (which helps with standard non VTOL ground attacks and dogfights) and has excellent VTOL handling. It also carries four of my new short range AIM-9X missiles, which inflict similar damage to daemon's ships as my exocet, albeit at a much shorter range, but with A2A engagement as its principal role. Armor is going to have a terrible day... And those armored ships can't run. This thing has 2.5 tanks per each of the two engines, it goes fast in both modes of flight, and it's made to survive the current standard SAM missiles used by other companies. The transitions from VTOL to level flight is almost seamless. I bet it could operate on carriers and even destroyers, since it weighs only 15 tons. It's 80 parts without the four missiles. All missiles are controllable. Key toggles: 1. VTOL engines 2. Level flight engines Download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/htlt00b50h2naki/AV-8A2%20Harrier%20Weapons%20Testbed.craft?dl=0 It's easily flyable without SAS, but don't let the plane wander around without the computer filter. An experienced pilot can easily do VTOL tricks and hover without SAS. Gear undercarriage is extremely durable. Missile away! Survivability testing. it passed with flying colors (Or flying and landing in VTOL mode with only half of the plane.) It still handled better than most vtols. It can also fly in VTOL with parts of its wings lost, and even in level flight without any type of SAS. SEMPER FIDELIS!

Which is why I'm most likely pulling out of the current carrier project. Too much AP homework coupled with insufficient computing resources. I might, however, try building an USS Wasp style carrier. My Harrier would definitely fit.

At first, I thought that she'd only pouted a few times in season 1... But then, I discovered that she pouted well over 200 times... XD Did she ever pout in the other seasons... I miss the fun days of season 1... everything, including the real world, seems to be adopting a silently darker theme now.

SQUAD! ADD B9 ALREADY! It'll never happen. Those parts are out of flow from the stock design theme.
