@gridghost yep, that's a good one. Used it on BAD-T 1 too. Oh, wow, I threw in Eve and it didn't impact performance at all. Anyone knows good cloud configs? I find that the default one has way too many clouds, it kinda gets in the way. Unfortunately the mods we have are not configured for Kerbal Krash System it seems, it did nothing to a fully modded craft. -

Don't worry that much about it, just download the latest version of the mods and you are good to go. Tried out NANA Wildfire. Well, it's awesome, but not yet ready for being put into BAD-T, mainly because it inserts a heating effect that was not accounted for when you designed your crafts, so I will not be using it on this version of BAD-T. The code is really well organized and clean, it's going to be very easy to attempt to implement fires caused by gunfire, and a custom Aviator Arsenal part to work as a sealant on these cases. But it would need some further handling to not actually cool down the part, only stop fire from damaging it further. So yeah, I will see what could be done to make it useful for the challenge, if anything I will see if it's possible to keep only the flame effects and throw it in (if that is the case, it can appear on this version of BAD-T since it would be purely visual). Checking out Krash System now, let's see what we've got here. -

Thanks for the tips, @TheSpaceManiac! This NANA Wildfire seems cool, will try it out. Not sure about Kerbal Krash System, that would require a bit more testing, which I will do right now. @DoctorDavinci Modlist: All challenge mods BDA Vessel Switcher Destruction Effects Take Command Scatterer Vessel Mover KerbinSide BAD-T (will send you this one later) You don't have to use all of them, it's better to run with more than 30fps than with more visual mods, so add only the ones that you can actually handle. If you are not able to handle any visual mod that is also ok, Vessel Mover, Vessel Switcher, Take Command and KerbinSide BAD-T are actually mandatory, can't run without them. Edit: I'm afraid that these mods could end up changing how damage works, will make sure that they don't behave unexpectedly, I saw that fire can spread a lot and that's unwanted. If anything, I will see if I can keep only the effects somehow. -

Great, so as soon as a pair of airplanes lose the first battle I will send their craft files straight to him so that he can run the rematch. If someone is not ok with sending him the craft file, please tell me and I will mark your rematch as lost, so that your opponent automatically wins that match. -

Usually newer hardware will run much cooler and quieter, at a higher power efficiency than old ones. @Radon86 yes that i5 is good. A K version should allow for overclocking if you plan to. The hyper 212 evo is also good, it will be very quiet if you don't plan to overclock, and can keep up with a decent OC. I'm running my i7 4790k on an h100 wc, wanna see how far I can push it. -

Just to note that I would give the files of the airplanes which lose on the first battle only, this would ensure that everybody fights at least twice. I would be really glad if that happened, and will let you decide before I start running them, I'm currently reviewing everything. I also reserve the rights to make modifications, for instance if someone used stock BDArmory AI and Weapons Manager it's much faster that I port the settings to the antenna myself. Any effect that this kind of change may have on the aircraft performance can be considered a minor penalty. I will pm you if that happens to your craft. -

If you all want to run a jet fighter challenge I can set up the rules for you, as long as someone is commited to run all of them. I notice that you are coming up with the same rules and solutions as a few other tournaments, and they often didn't get work out as expected. For example, range doens't really relate to overall battle capacity, there are better ways to define these limits. @DoctorDavinci if everybody is fine with it, I would be glad to send you the craft files. -

Eu só descobri que estava esperando muito tempo pra alguém fazer a pergunta agora que ela foi feita. Até vim pro meu pc só pra poder responder melhor, e achei a sua iniciativa muito boa. Primeiramente, a maioria poraqui já sabe que sou estudante de engenharia, então não posso dizer como o KSP me ensinou alguma coisa sobre física, mas vai além disso. O que eu gosto sobre o KSP é a capacidade que ele tem de permitir que qualquer um desenvolva um foguete e veja como as diferentes configurações afetam a sua performance, além de realizar diversas manobras e ver em tempo real os resultados de cada uma delas. O fato de você poder diretamente realizar uma missão de diversas maneiras possíveis e ver o quanto isso pode afetar a sua eficiência e o quão drásticas podem ser as consequências das falhas fazem com que nós realmente entendamos o quão complicado isso realmente é na vida real. Apesar de simplificar bastante a grande parte dos sistemas que compõe um foguete, ele ainda nos deixa com os problemas mais clássicos de design, principalmente os de Delta-V e TWR. Na parte da simulação da física, eu posso dizer que o KSP é bem mais convincente que qualquer outro jogo relacionado a "espaço" que eu ja ví, a aproximação de esferas de influência é incrivelmente boa, a pesar de não levar em conta pontos de Lagrange e ter uma precisão reduzida em sistemas com vários corpos com massa considerável. Em sistemas como Kerbin-Mün-Minmus a aproximação é basicamente o que você esperaria de qualquer jogo sério que implementa dinâmicas orbitais. Ir além disso torna-se de certa forma irrisório (o que não parece ter impedido meu colega eggrobin de implementar física de N corpos). Dito isso, não acredito que o KSP, na versão atual, irá ensinar muito por si só, mas seria uma excelente ferramenta para a experimentação e aplicação de conceitos ensinados previamente em aula ou através de pesquisas. Faça o seguinte, monte um formulário no google forms que eu apresentarei sua pesquisa no meu próximo vídeo de notícias pra conseguir que mais pessoas respondam ele -

But I didn't say next will be jets The only problem with jets is that there is much less dogfighting and much more sniping, not as fun. Well, amazing news, I just installed my new i7 4790k, and I can run 2x2 with 40 parts crafts + scatterer + CollisionFX + Destruction Effects + whatever else with over 30fps easy, near the KSC *I also had a lot of stuff going on at the same time like music and some other things which may give extra 2 or 3 fps if turned off. So, yeah, awesome stuff. -

@Radon86 I would really try to avoid going for a 2600K, unless there is really no option. Basically it will be a bit harder to upgrade on the future, and if you face problems you will have a hard time finding compatible hardware like motherboards for that socket. If you can, go at least for a 3rd gen, take a look at the 4th gen i5's, they shouldn't be that expensive. Just installed my i7, simply threw it in, booted and installed drivers, I seriously need to format the PC and install my OS on my SSD. Awesome results so far tho. -

@ferram4 I would personally not release for 1.1 pre release at all, simply because it's not meant to be played with mods to begin with. It could also cause a problem, people reporting stock issues here, or FAR issues there, which would be a headache for everyone. I would go for leaving it at git, if even, and release only after 1.1 final release.- 14,073 replies

Chegou minha placa mãe Agora é só instalar tudo hj quando eu voltar pra casa. O processador novo é o i7 4790k, não comprei o 6700k por que ia aumentar muito o custo por quase nada em ganho de performance, e assim também posso dar overclock. Agora tenho um pc inteiro com as partes de antes que eu vou montar e vender. Vai ter bastante foto em breve.

Muito bonita a shuttle. Não acredito que vá mudar coisa o suficiente pra ela deixar de funcionar. Não é questão de ser playboy, só investi em periféricos muito mais confortáveis e duradouros por que tinha o dinheiro na hora, e economizei o máximo possível. No fim das contas o gasto pode acabar até sendo menor devido à durabilidade. O periférico que mais se ganha investindo em qualidade é o headset, a diferença de qualidade é absurda e a de durabilidade também, todumundo sabe que aqueles de 10 reais quebram em duas semanas (tirando rarissimas excessões).
