When we (Most of the KSP community) says something is very Kerbal, we basically mean "Strap a buncha rockets to it and see what happens." Aka really unsafe.

I wish I was a Kerbal so I could stare at those monopropellent tanks, scream WHY and drop dead on the spot. (This overwhelms me.)

Prologue : LOC : LB T : 1013 "Gentlemen." Kater said as he entered the room. "Currently, we are waiting for returns from the probes in Eeloo orbit to return images. The manned vehicles are on their way, and will be there in one day, ten hours, and twenty-three minutes. We need all defenses up until they're in orbit with no anomalies. The enemy will most likely strike during that time. High alert. Dismissed. Chapter 0.9 : LOC : ET T:1209 SAC-1 FINAL TRANSMISSION "What the **** is that?" Gun-13 shouted "It's targeting the communic-" Static "b-" Static. Chapter 1 : LOC : LB TIME : 2350 "Radio contact. Large force inbound from Vall. Scramble crew carriers to orbit. Night shifts, day shifts, I don't care. They've got their largest atmospheric gunship coming here. It's most likely targeting us." Kurat, second in command said. "Sir, we've got tangos inbound, we need to evac!" Sack shouted as he ran into commander's quarters. "Rodger, let's move!" Kater said as he grabbed his EVA suit from the closet and got moving to the Crew Quarters. All of the air raid alarms were blaring. The crew carriers took off, and anyone that needed EVA suits on put them on once in orbit. LOC : RV WITH LAYTHE STATION TIME : 0412 "Heard there was some inbound large ships." Kater said during docking. "Good thing you guys are here." "Gets a bit boring up here sometimes." The station commander, Kurt Kerman said. "Ten ships on radio contact, sir." Com-1 said. "Gunners ready, arriving crew onboard. Let's blow these ***holes back to Duna." Kurt said. Due to school, next part will at the most come at saturday. Or tommorow night after I've done things with my new cats I haven't seen for like three weeks. Let's see how much I can write before 5:30 eastern... I won't write until then. Chapter 2 : LOC : LS TIME : 0500 "Pilots onboard, laythe SOI for tangos." Kurt said "All pilots to ships, and are free to engage." "Enemy periaps in two hours." The Flight Director said. LOC : UNKNOWN TIME : UNKNOWN "Men. The attack on Laythe has begun." The commander kerbal said. "Inform our... allies to attack the ships heading to Eeloo. Dismissed." Chapter 3 : LOC : ON WAY TO EELOO PERIAPS TIME : 1274 "Sir, periaps in ten minutes." O-1 said. "Copy." Kenner said. "Wait what the **** is that?" Fern, gun-1 said. "It's like the kraken!" It teleports in front of the ship, then the signal is lost. **** I'm back! Chapter 4 : LOC : ON WAY TO EELOO PERIAPS TIME : 1689 "****..... ****......." Fern says as he stares at the wreckage of his ship as he hides in the wreckage of another ship. He watches the enemy ships. "Fern, come on. We gotta get comms up." Kenner said. "No, they'll see the signals and kill us! We have to find a way to kill them!" LOC : [NO LOC AVAILABLE] TIME : [NO CLOCK FOUND] TRANSPONDER : CIVILIAN EXPLORATION VEHICLE STATUS : CREW DEAD, LOST LS CREW BOARDED AND FIXED "Why in Kerbin would those ***holes kill the civvies?" Adken Kerman said, staring at dead bodies floating with helmet light on, as all spare electricity is diverted to the control systems and engines. "Dunno." Kurt said, strapping himself inside. "If we win this war and take any POWs that broke this ship, those guys will have war crimes." "Dosen't matter. We just need to get out of here alive." Adken said. LOC : UKN HQ TIME : 2320 "Signals from Laythe. We've got some company. What's the status on Eeloo?" Captain Dan Kerman said. "Last transmission from Kenner's ship. We've lost all communications with it. Here's the last image we got." Jordan said. [iMAGE NONEXISTENT BECAUSE THIS IS A WRITING] "Darn. Send all reinforcments from Duna to the transfer window. We need the ships with the most powerful drives." "That's our best class of warship, sir. Do you think it's a good idea? "It's our best shot." LOC : NOT FOUND TIME : NOT FOUND STATUS : MIA "Let's go." Kenner mouthed. Fern slapped the charge on the hatch of the alien ship, and they burst through, with the best laser rifles onboard their ship. Kenner was wrestling one of the aliens, weird, they seemed robotic, and a praying mantis thingy burst through a door, and Fern capped him. The hatch sealed. "GET OFF ME YOU FREAKING BAG OF BOLTS!" Fern shouted as an alien tried to rip his helmet visor off. He batted it away, then bashed it in the skull with the stock of the rifle. He grabbed a knife and stabbed the alien Kenner was wrestling. "They'll be going for us. Get the weapons going and change transponder. Don't forget comms." Kenner panted as he grabbed the rifle and headed to make sure no more enemies were onboard." I've tipped off who these tangos might be by saying "mantis", and "they seemed robotic". Tell me the species, and what they're from and you get a medal. Or a steam trading card. Chapter 5 : LOC : EELOO ORBIT TIME : UNKNOWN TRANSPONDER : MANTIS DESTROYER STATUS : CHANGING TRANSPONDERS AND GETTING COMMS UP Debris splattered the bridge's viewscreen from a missed torpedo hitting wreckage. Fern frantically got comms online to Duna. There was shouting, and the occasional scream from where Kenner was. "There we go... done and dusted." Kenner says, walking to the bridge. "Transponder changed and comms to Duna up. I can't get any to Laythe and Kerbin." Fern said. "Head to the weapons, we've got company." Kenner said as a nearby explosion rattled the ship. "Duna, this is Sargent Kenner, we need backup asap. I repeat, backup asap. We have hijacked an enemy ship and are under attack. They are not of the Kerbin system." "Read you, Kenner. I can't get a location because of enemy signatures all of Eeloo. Best warships inbound, one day. Don't die." The Com-manager on Duna Sation said. "I'll relay our conversation to Kerbin and Laythe. Best-" Static. "o-" More. "-uck." "Duna, you're breaking up!" Kenner shouted. "N-" Static. "-py." Static. "They've got jammers, Fern!" "One down, possibly a million to go." Fern said. "We're dead men." Well, mantis destroyer says [REDACTED] all over it. I thought about making the original transponder [REDACTED], but then I knew they made [REDACTED] ships, so that wouldn't fit with the effectiveness. LOCATION : LS TIME : 0230 TRANSPONDER : UKN STATUS : UNDER ATTACK "We've got signals coming from Duna." The Com-manager said. "What?" Kater asked, sitting in a gun in the place of a dead gunner. "They had radio contact from Eeloo. Aliens, Kenner said." "I tho-" An explosion rocked the station. "Doesn't matter right now. Keep firing." 1 day later LOCATION : EO TIME : 1256 TRANSPONDER : UKN STATUS : RV WITH M-5413, NICKNAMED ARGO BY KENNER "Tango. On its way to Argo. Lie low." Kark said, holding onto a ladder in black and white special forces armor. "Copy." Ren, the pilot said. "Sir, they are keeping Argo on min's right?" Kern said. "Yes." Kark said. "Then why do I see a message incoming from M-5413?" Kern said. "They might be under attack." Suggested Ren. "Well, our ETA is twenty minutes." Kark said as he tore binoculars out of the equipment bay. "I see an explosion. Accept the message, let's get this done in record time." "Argo, this is Kern, we see you. Our ETA is twenty minutes, fifteen if we push the drive to max." Kern said. "Well then max throttle!" Kenner said, grunting as he fired a missile. "The big cannon's ETA is an hour, and another enemy cruisers's thirty. We'll get you out." Kern said. Kark pulled into the troop bay, as the drive was pushed to max. "Hit-" Kenner said, just before the ship's power went out. LOC : Enemy Eeloo base. TIME : 1539 TRANSPONDER : NONE STATUS : DRONE WATCHING. WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE ENEMY IS DOING. "There have been reports from Ike City that the recent fighting around Eeloo is visible through their new Kerbin Record breaking telescope. Users claim they could see torpedoes flying. The UKN has not yet revealed what this enemy is, except it isn't Kerbal. The two nicknames for the two species so far from the UKN is "Bug" and "Mechies". More at six." The reporter said. A mantis laughed. "[LANGUAGE UNDECIPHERABLE]" It said. The drone stopped hovering, and fell to the ground. Signal lost. I'd actually like to point out some inspiration from the section above the last one (As of this message.). It comes from one of the Republic Commando books (Triple Zero, I think.) where Omega has hijacked an enemy ship and there's a seperatist ship coming that can blow them to smithereens, as the power is off so they could get to the terrorists in the cockpit. So Delta Squad, with a hijacked sep ship without any guns, they go and haul Omega out of the cockpit. Just before they detach, the friendly cruiser, behind the sep ship, blows it up, just far enough away to where Omega and Delta are not killed. These bits are a bit like Author's Notes. More more more! I need to go back to Laythe. Chapter 6 : LOCATION : FLANKING KERBAL FEDERATION TIME : 1439 TRANSPONDER : NONE "Kurt, what's your status?" The Com-manager said. "Strapping on some armament to this civvie vehicle." Kurt said. "We'll flank them. Provide us some cover fire. "Alright." The Com-manager said. LOC : ARGO RV, BOARDING TANGOS TIME : 1449 TRANSPONDER : NONE STATUS : BOARDING TANGOS "Charge set! Cover!" Kern said. The hatch exploded, and him and Kenner went in, plasma rifles firing. Kenner stabbed a mantis. "Stupid bugs!" Kenner said. They cleared the ship, and Argo took the last one down. A sudden signal emitted from the ship they were onboard, shutting Argo's systems off. They quickly shut it off. LOC : HIDDEN UKN OUTPOST IN IKE CITY TIME : MIDNIGHT TRANSPONDER : NONE STATUS : DISCUSSING ALIEN THREAT MOVING TO DUNA "I flew all the way out here to have a meeting. It better be worth it." Dan Kerman said. "Well, sir, the alien threat is loosing, an conformation from Kenner says that they are heading towards Duna, to the KF HQ. They might go for help. I suggest we get ships on standby to take both the KF and aliens out." Adker said. "I would lead the attack." "Yes. Standby. I will also be staying at Ike City for now. We've got one day until tangos arrive in Duna SOI." Dan said. One day later. LOC : DUNA ORBIT, WAITING FOR TANGOS TO GET TO KF BASE TIME : 1349 TRANSPONDER : UKN STATUS : STANDBY "We've got an hour til they arrive." The spotter said. "Copy." Adker said. ONE HOUR LATER A torpedo flew towards the KF base. It wasn't a UKN one. "UKN, please, help!" The KF Com-manager said. "Let's do it." Said Adker. "Blow those bugs and mechs back out of the Kerbol System." The battle was hard and desperate, with the UKN and the KFN working together to destroy the alien threat. Orbit of Eeloo coming soon. It will be the aftermath of this great alien war.

Moved KSP to steam yesterday, first time in space. (Not in a scenario/training thingy) Still haven't made a craft with orbital capabilities not using Mechjeb. Re-entry. Gonna go play more now...

The RCS fires up, but the attacker hits the far left engine. Since there are four engines, they have to shut one off. "Hit!" Vad said. "What's gone, Vad?" Seven shouts over the radio. "Far left engine, sir!" "At least it didn't take two out. Two central engines on, far right off. Let's get the **** out of here. Notify Laythe Base that enemies are inbound. "Rodger!" Sap said. "Engines going retro!" Vad said. The ship shudders. Signal lost. "This won't leave Laythe. Scramble fighters." Captain Kater Kerman said. Chapter 2 "You heard the man get to the fighters!" Kurat shouted to the pilots. (Numbering fighters because WHO wants to name the guys in it?) "This is Guardian, requesting de-orbit and attack over." Kold-1 said. "Negative." Kurat said. "Wait for them to make orbit." "Radio contact." The Com-manager said. "Hello. I'll see you in ****." The captain of the enemy fleet said. "All pilots, weapons free. Engage." Kurat said. "All gunners, to the turrets." "Radio from Seven, sir!" The Com-manager said. "Lo" Static. "sh" Static. "need b-" Bang, then static. "Kold squadron, get to the final transmission of Seven!"
