  1. Listening to the first 10 seconds it sounds like stoner rock, amirite?
  2. Type O Negative. Also called the "Drab Four" because their main influences were the Beatles and Black Sabbath. These guys made Gothic Metal popular in the mid nineties, after Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride and Anathema kickstarted the genre. The difference with these other bands is than TON injected it with some solid Brooklyn humor. Trick or treat!
  3. Classic track from '79. The "New Romantics" band Japan was influenced by the Bowie Berlin period and others. Japan themselves influenced one of the biggest bands of the eighties: Duran Duran. I like this track, nice for practicing some of my bass skills, even if I don't own a fretless. And while at work, I just practice in my head.
  4. Co-op build, @DarkOwl57 and me. He supplied a chassis, I've done this with it. Who knows which direction it will go from here. It's inspired by the Ferrari FF but obviously has a different nose and rear. Powered by 5 Juno's. What do you guys think?
  5. I'm unable to select the receiving end of both struts and fuel lines, when using offset Rotate does work on both ends. Is this a bug or something I'm missing? KSP 1.3.1, EEX 3.3.14.
  6. Without using mods, that's a very complex shape to get right. And stock rover motors are incapable of achieving anything like the performance of this car. So ... I think I'll pass if you don't mind :-)
  7. Using mods so it's not a very big achievement. Something I've built 4 years ago. 4.8 kt. Had to invent all kinds of tech to make sure the thing would survive. Does look impressive though.
  8. I actually don't know (yet). Suffice to say, most of them didn't make it past prototype stage. There are lots of problems to deal with in real life. The very first helicopters and airplanes in KSP used this method, this actually motivated me to invent the turboprop/turboshaft engine.
  9. I'm wondering though: " without the engines being allowed to spool up. " What's the reasoning behind this? And I have something, a stock rally car. Not the fastest one in cornering but pretty okay for rough terrain. It uses "hydraulics" to change ride height.
  10. Stock car, just painted. Did some work on my extreme racer. Reduced mass with 1500kg, it's at 4.6t now. Reduced number of Juno's from 8 to 6 because the extra mass doesn't help while braking or cornering. Also made the spoilers deploy while braking. Newest trick: I angled the spoilers in such a way they reduce body roll and actually push the car in the direction of cornering if body roll does occur. Writing the numbers from my head, they could be off a few tenths. Top speed: 170 m/s+. Max G while accelerating: 2.9. Max G while braking: 3.4. Max G while cornering: 29! Now I need a good pilot with lightning fast reflexes. Maybe I should put something like 700 parts somewhere on the KSC to slow the game down. I'm not going to enter this version because with the weight saving the car is at less than the required 51% wing material. I'll go back a few versions and implement some of the changes.

  12. Nice video! I've edited my previous post.
  13. Well, I'm pretty adept at making STOLs and compact airplanes, together with the carrier I've created a whole bunch that actually fits on the elevator and inside the hangar deck. https://imgur.com/a/65VFt https://imgur.com/a/FIb16
  14. This inspires me a little to continue work on my aircraft carrier.
  15. Well, glad we have an answer. And it was interesting to see if I could do it. Never done swing/tilt wings before.
  16. Can't say I have ... but the last plane I built like that was 2.5 years ago, if I remember correctly. Ah, the famous Triebflügel. To give you an answer: rockets or jets on the wing/rotor tips is a different category. But good build nevertheless.
