  1. The landing legs are for tilting the truck for unloading. I have the same problem with the post format. I'm not sure which moderator to call for help.
  2. Petyrbolt & Sons Motor Co. PB1 - 1910 The first Petyrbolt truck.
  3. That might be there at my request, not sure. I should continue to work on my mod.
  4. It's really there, 6 hours into the stream. Maybe something with your browser? I use Firefox/Windows 7.
  5. Started a few hours ago and already thinking why I started this. I once had a car like this, a Citroën DS 21 Pallas BVH 1969 (BVH = Boite Vitesse Hydraulique, it's a semi automatic gearbox). The real car is widely considered to be one of the pivotal designs in the history of automobiles by virtue of its revolutionary design, advanced hydraulics giving it and exceptionally smooth ride and lots of safety features. It was leaps ahead of its time. The hydraulic system powered the self-leveling suspension, power steering and brakes. Production lasted from 1955 to 1975. The DS placed third in the 1999 Car of the Century poll recognizing the world's most influential auto designs and was named the most beautiful car of all time by Classic & Sports Car magazine. More info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citroën_DS This is the first time I'm using mods in a long time, building it real scale, and it's going to take many hours to get right. Maybe months. This is the original (third nose, model year 1968): And then there's this. Extremely rough and low-poly. Please don't laugh. The end result should have some kind of an engine, it will have hinges for the doors, bonnet, trunk lid. Mods so far: Pwings, Pwings texture replacer, Pwings glass mod, tweakscale. If needed I'll revive my own Procedural Parts Extended mod. Wish me luck and patience.
  6. @Bubbadevlin try it with the smallest retractable landing gear, they're almost impossible to break. Btw, never heard of such an engine before. Seems a funny concept.
  7. Another beautiful recreation! If you want to create realistic rear lights, copy my trick. https://kerbalx.com/Azimech/77I--1969-Charger-RT-31 Stock car.
  8. Yes, I feel your frustration @klond. If only the speed limitation could be lifted, 477 rpm is incredibly low. Your engines would be fine if the props could run at 2500 - 3000.
  9. I don't know why but I'm still waiting for the activation email from the forum. Can I reach the guy in a different way? If there's just one mod I've been waiting for for almost 4 years ... It's procedural glass.
  10. If I'm not mistaken ... I might have arrived in the top 10.
  11. The good old days ... two years ago. And before Squad reworked the fuel flow system, I needed a web of fuel lines in some of my airplanes. I actually miss that. My engines were a lot less reliable back then. But they failed in awesome ways. Sometimes I would just throw a ball at them for the effect. Never released that Corsair. Wish I did. My very first turboprop had the amazing top speed of 25m/s. During a test flight something did "poof" in the left engine and released a puff of smoke. It continued to run but with a wobble. Fantastic.
  12. I'm not a fan of the Panther, the static thrust is to weak in dry mode and the fuel consumption goes through the roof in wet mode. I always choose Juno's. You need more of them but they're pretty light and a lot shorter which makes for a more aesthetic solution (although @EpicSpaceTroll139 has some very pretty designs using them). I haven't put kerbals in the turbine shaft. You sadist.
  13. After having completed 4 helicopters this week and someone on Reddit asked "No coaxials?" yesterday, I hacked together my first coaxial in 1.5 years this morning in just 30 minutes. I just stacked two Asura II engines on top of each other. The prototype isn't exactly pretty nor fast but has a good endurance and is very strong. The biggest plus is that the engine is incredibly reliable and can take heaps of punishment, you can even fire a cannon at it and it keeps working. The helicopters I released this week: The big breakthrough appears the scalability of the Asura II engine. Azi27 Dione uses just 10 blowers instead of the usual 50, making this little heli my first with less than 100 parts while still having the tank like reliability of the bigger ones. I've even tested one with only 5 blowers but that one needs a lot of work. Not trying to compete with @klond because we all know: he's the champion building light engines. I could never touch him.
  14. News: Eric Johnson Space Administration (EJ_SA) has built the first prototype turboshaft helicopter with a working swashplate and cyclic/collective. I myself didn't believe it could be done with stock parts. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/135398742 It lifts off at around 6:00. @EJ_SA ... you're awesome!
  15. Hilarious! "No, I won't!" "Why not?" "Having way too much fun watching you beg!" Anyway ... any chance you might try a turboshaft helicopter? Quote from my manual: A lighter helicopter will always be quicker to respond. My helicopters aren't hard to control if you take the time, follow the flight instructions and get familiar with them
  16. Album below, from right to left: Azi27 Dione, single seat light helicopter. Azi26 Lelantos, 6 seat medium helicopter. Azi23 Helios, heavy cargo helicopter hybrid (can fly like a plane too). Azi22 Eos, heavy cargo helicopter. Azi20 Selene, heavy cargo helicopter. Azi21 Hyperion, heavy cargo helicopter, beats the Mil Mi-26 in both cargo volume and lifting power, has more cargo volume than a 747. Last but not least: Azi24 Cronus, ultra heavy cargo helicopter hybrid. Loosely based on the Mil V-12. The Cronus has the length of a 747 and is able to airlift the 65t. M1A2 Abrams main battle tank. The largest and most powerful helicopter ever built, both in KSP and real life. Cronus weighs 173t. with tanks full. Most of them are powered by the Asura II engine using 50 blowers. Lelantos and Dione have a less powerful version (20 and 10 blowers). 17. Thanks for the link! Might there be a way to get it without having to register on that forum? My Polish is a bit ... unpolished. I'd love it if he/she could publish it on SpaceDock. And welcome to the forum! I rarely see a vehicle done with such detail and excellence, with or without mods. I think I can speak for a lot of people when I say I hope to see more! I usually build with stock but your creation inspires me to build a few with these mods as well!
  18. I have a few cargo seaplanes and an amphibious cargo helicopter.
  19. Okay, you did a Boss Hogg voice in your mind with that, didn't you?
  20. 77 Industries presents: Azi24 Cronus The length of a 747, able to airlift an M1A2 Abrams. It doesn't have its own manual yet but for explanation of most functions you can use this one. More pretty pics: Craft file.
  21. Okay, so it's a bit more than 4 struts. I didn't know the thing has 671 parts. What you see here is the result of 8 struts. It's not perfect but I don't know the inner structure that well. I could return the craft file but the problem is, at the moment I'm running 1.2.9.1750 and craft saved are not backwards compatible. Anyway, Suppose you'd need 20 struts total, on a part count of ~700 that's not really a problem. And the struts are hardly visible. Pretty impressive maze by the way! I'd totally use the ambient light function of 1.2.9 and install some creepy lights.
