  1. Not in the slightest. This is obviously a radial-engined fighter plane, like the FW-190.
  2. Yeah, I figured it out now. It\'s actually super simple, I just kept mucking it up by rotating the parts. Derp.
  3. I tried that, I can\'t for the life of me mount them in any other orientation than the default without them clipping halfway into other parts.
  4. Very impressive. How did you get those triangular bits of wing mounted backwards like that? I can\'t rotate them into that position, they always clip into the part I\'m attaching them to when rotated.

    Hello?

Welcome to the KSP Forums! Happy Launching! Arrr! Admiral Sordid
  6. I believe that\'s a challenge arch. Try to achieve a munar orbit that goes through it.
  7. I don\'t think it resembles any specific aircraft. The shape of the wing is reminiscent of the F/A-18, the lack of space between the ailerons and the stabilators makes it look a bit like an F-22, and the two oversized engine nozzles are straight out of the MiG-25.
  8. You could delete the ailerons and rely on the tail control surfaces and thrust vectoring only for maneuvering. Also, you are using an analog controller of some kind, yes? It doesn\'t have to be a sophisticated flight stick, I play KSP with a 360 controller, but even that is much more precise than keyboard control.
  9. Looks very nice indeed. I\'m also having some trouble with take-off. Mine seems glued to the runway, even when it\'s going way faster than it needs to it still won\'t lift off. What I do is I push forward on the stick very gently, then as soon as I see the rear wheels lose contact with the runway I yank the stick back as hard as I can. That typically gets my design in the air.
  10. Oooh, very nice replica. I was never really all that impressed with the aviation parts, I always thought you couldn\'t really make anything out of them that would even vaguely resemble a real aircraft. Nice to see I was wrong.
  11. Yeah, it is very unstable, though mainly in terms of pitch and to a lesser degree yaw. Roll isn\'t really a problem. I\'m hoping to further improve it by making the overlapping wings symmetrical. On the left wing the forward part is on top, but on the right wing the back part is on top. Edit: Right, I made some modifications which I consider to be an improvement. Craft file has been updated. It\'s possibly even more unstable in pitch now, but what little spontaneous roll there was seems to be gone completely. Personally I consider the instability a plus, since that means good maneuverability. It does require constant adjustments, but you\'re in a Mach 2 jet fighter, you\'re supposed to be paying attention anyway.
  12. Ladies and gentlemen, Sordid Aerodyne and Spaceflight Industries is pleased to present to you our latest creation, the YK-18 'Kobra'. In its recent first test flight, this compact and highly maneuverable supersonic jet fighter has reached an altitude of over 16,000 meters and a top speed in excess of 2500 km/h (700+ m/s). Achieved while at full throttle at operational ceiling for most of the journey. NEW! An enlarged variant, YK-18L 'Long Kobra', now available, featuring longer range and friendlier handling! Disclaimer: SASI is not responsible for any fractures, cuts, mangling, crushing, burning, tearing, squashing, bisection, decapitation, evisceration, dismemberment, disembowelment, or any other form of bodily injury that may occur as a result of the Kobra\'s extreme sensitivity to control input. Maximum maneuverability has been the primary concern in its design. Anyone who flies it does so at their own risk. If you can\'t handle the Mach 2 jet fighter, get yourself a Cessna instead.
  13. I have a better idea. Find someone who wants a betta fish and knows how to take care of it, give it to them, then tell your sister that the fish died because she wasn\'t taking proper care of it and you disposed of it by flushing it down the toilet. Problem solved.

    UGH

Awwwww, I thought this was about Ugh! the game.
  15. Those are incredible. The only suggestion I have is that it might be worthwhile to polish the visors to smooth out the artifacts and make them more transparent.
  16. Yeah, I can confirm that. I\'m finishing college right now and I feel really isolated, because everyone communicates via Facebook and I don\'t have it.
  17. Oh don\'t worry, Jeb is basically a terminator. He\'ll be back.
  18. You have that the wrong way around, I\'m afraid. Like it or not, they\'re in charge. It\'s you who\'s going to have to learn how to talk to them if you want to get anywhere.

  20. Don\'t forget to point a webcam at him as he\'s sitting on your lap.
  21. Having a good voice is very important when doing let\'s plays, and I\'d say sounding like a newscaster is a good thing in that respect. If there\'s something I can\'t stand it\'s videos made by pre-pubescent boys. Even if they\'re interesting and the guys have something insightful to say, the squealing is just too grating a sound for me to be able to watch their videos. Also, it\'s never too early to introduce a kid to videogames, you know. Do a series 'Me and My 4-Year Old Fly Kerbal Space Program'!
  22. Remember the saying 'you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar'? Yelling and turning up the music when they try to talk to you is the absolutely worst thing you can possibly do, that\'s just going to make them angry at you. Staying calm won\'t make your parents listen to you, but at least it won\'t get your PC taken away. If it makes you feel any better, I\'m fairly sure your sister also thinks they never listen to her. That\'s just how parents are. Also, don\'t start arguments over something silly like a drink. I\'m sure there are other things in your house that you can drink. Choose your battles, and don\'t fight with your parents. That\'s a fight you can\'t win. So make your sister fight with them. Then they\'ll be angry with her and you\'ll win. Learn to push her buttons to make her do things that make them angry. Always have a plausible justification, though. If your parents suspect you manipulated your sister on purpose, you\'ll be in deep trouble. Always, always stay calm. Fear is the mind-killer, and so is anger. If you\'re not thinking clearly, you\'re going to do something stupid that\'ll make your situation worse.
  23. Oh yeah, the evil laugh is the best part, innit? Although to be perfectly honest I enjoy the Silent Hunter videos more. I think it\'s mostly because I actually play KSP myself, so watching someone else play it isn\'t as interesting. I\'ve only played SH very briefly (i.e. just long enough to accidentally put the U-boat into reverse and slam it into the rear wall of the sub pen, instantly and rather unceremoniously ending my patrol), so that\'s a lot more fun for me.
