  1. The items inside the compartment, are they treated as a single part so that the center of weight is balanced correctly regardless of how the items are placed inside of it?
  2. I am sure if they halted all progress to make their own engine everyone would be extremely mad. At the time back then, it was easy licensing to get, and it didn't cost them a fortune which they didnt have back then when KSP came into production. Its hard to give direct blame to the developers, sure, a different path would of been nice but at this present time, many years in the development, you deal with it and enjoy the game for what it is, now how it could of been. Things will change in the years to come of development and multicore processing is in the future and unity has backed that statement. In the mean time, enjoy KSP, enjoy this lovely mod by Rbray which makes this game playable for a lot more users, and enjoy.. JOY! Sorry, I don't mean to cause a rant on this thread with everyone because it gets old when we all know this.
  3. Dread, the game runs poorly to your standards because of limitations with the unity engine. It is not the developers fault so shaming the game and saying you have a beastly computer will not make a difference. People run this game and are happy with everything and would KILL for 15fps let alone 60fps on max settings possible. This mod should help ANYONE who uses it, good or bad computer. I hope it makes your KSP experience more.. bearable.
  4. Rbray, could you create an algorithm to write new configs if it detects a mod that isn't on its list? It would be an advanced feature only and can only be turned on inside the textureCompression config file.
  5. Read the last few pages please and see the issue he was having. Its very important.
  6. Okay, now install the compression mod and tell me what happens. Post whether its the basic or aggressive version as well. Use the latest 2-11.
  7. Neither am I. I dont think anyone here we know of has ever experienced this. Rbray shouldnt take forever but remove the compression mod and reload the game see if the same issue occurs.
  8. Sorry, the config files. Look through the stock config files and see if anything has changed to 2048x2048 somehow. But besides that, i am not sure what is wrong.
  9. Can you go into the config folders and look for whatever was 2048x2048?
  10. Wow, That is weird, the size should not be that large. Go into your launcher and set the graphics settings to as low as physically possible. Start the game and print screen the errors in the debug (database) menu about the mod. It will show a bit more information I believe. Besides that, I think its best to wait for Rbray because this is out of my hands now. I have not ever seen that kind of an issue with this.
  11. If you are using the steam version, check file integrity or use the patcher to look for any errors and redownload KSP? Then just install the compression mod to see if everything is loading properly. Then go back into the Database section of the debug menu and tell us what it says.
  12. Okay, when you load the game, load up your save and go to the space center. Open up the debug menu and in one of the pages it gives information about the plugin whether or not there was an error or how much it has compressed or not compressed etc. Could you say what you see in there?
  13. May I suggest deleting the BoulderCo folder all together then reinstalling the texture compression plugin? If you have the clouds plugin by Rbray as well install that afterwards. IF you have have already done this, which pack are you using? Basic or Aggressive?
  14. First you say its not compressing, then its compressing but worse. Man you need to get your facts straight so that Rbray or someone can help you. Rbray, I suggest posting a help template for users on the original post stating you need to provide a list of all your mods, current version and if they have modified the configs. Just my suggestion, more than likely people will never use it
  15. But you don't need the interface for this one either. You set it and forget it. Yes, atm the super interlace settings arent saving because of a bug, but, its essentially the same thing. I may be misunderstanding something, but I see at this present time no different from the descriptions you guys are giving me.
  16. But isn't the interface a nice touch since you can hide it and customize the settings without going into the config file? Most people don't know how to play with config files and you have to reload everything.
  17. Rbray, your mod is becomming a hit on the reddit Katalex, B9 already has a folder and proper configuration file setup, run as is.
  18. I know that the mod works in 0.23, but are we going to see an update any time soon?
  19. 1. The debug menu has a database tab and it will give you loads of information you know. 2. Rbray has kindly put information in the main config file to aid in setting up your own config files should an issue arise. Otherwise, post the problem and one of us will gladly help. 3. This I do not know off hand, but I think it says so in the config file (texturecompressor config) 4. If you mean creating a cached file then loading from disc, Rbray removed that feature to limit disc usage. He has reverted to run time compression and I doubt he will return back to what he was previously using.
