  1. Install FAR. Then they reduce drag like they should. It makes the air physics a lot better.
  2. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/24904-You-Will-Not-Go-To-Space-Today-Post-Your-Fails-Here 6 pages already, it would probably be better to post in there
  3. They're tough to get good results with. The transition between engines can VERY easily throw you into a spin. Yeah, that's the full name that I couldn't remember! Heres a system I was experimenting with to get up to speed:
  4. The TV aerospace pack has Ramjet engines, which are perfect for this type of thing. You need to be going 1100m/s for them to generate enough thrust to accelerate, however.
  5. If you want realism, check our iRacing or Live For Speed. iRacing is probably the best PC racing simulator out there, and has a huge following and super serious players.
  6. I've noticed that when adding wings in the SPH, my center of lift will be to the left or right of the center of mass even though everything is symmetrical. Only fixed by removing and replacing the parts multiple times.
  7. Never thought about putting nosecones on the back, good idea.
  8. Pod torque is fine for laythe entry. Your design is ready to go. Avionics mounting doesn't matter, scoops are enough, turbojet engine is great everywhere. Heres a small plane I sent there:
  9. You're supposed to place them equidistant from center of mass, not necessarily the farthest away you can. For small ships you can just stick the rcs blocks right on the CoM and get away with it.
  10. Good luck! There are plenty in the screenshot thread if you need inspiration.
  11. Ferram, the lag only happened when there was crashed craft debris being loaded around me, just like that other guy. I wiped my output logs when I did my latest reinstall.
  12. Yeah I just built your plane, didn't work so great. Lighter is always better.
  13. Nowhere near enough lift for those GIGANTIC fuel tanks. No wonder it isn't working! You need a total redesign, although I'd like to give it a try. Please post the .craft file, and then design something that looks more like this: or this or this
  14. Sorry for the paint drawing, but it works. Adjust forward/backwards slightly from there until you find the perfect spot.
  15. No, you're putting it too far away. Put the CoL halfway in the back of the CoM.
  16. @SkyRender: You have to account for the usage of fuel when balancing your center of lift/center of mass in the SPH. It will move backwards as you fly. Make sure it will still have the center of lift slightly behind center of mass even after it has burned fuel.
  17. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/12384-PLUGIN-PART-0-19-Anatid-Robotics-MuMech-MechJeb-Autopilot-v2-0-7
  18. HydroJeb is another docking autopilot option. I prefer ORDA.
